A Wonderful 3 Bedroom House Close to the Shawnee National Forest !

This 3 Bedroom is just a short drive to the wonderful Shawnee National Forest. The Master bedroom has a king bed with the second bedroom off of the Master with a small twin bed for extra guests or children who like to be close to the parents. The third bedroom has two full beds. All beds are very comfortable memory foam mattresses.
Enjoy all the sites such as the Garden of the Gods, Bell Smith Springs, Pounds Hollow, and much more. We are a 2 minute drive from the Shawnee National Forest headquarters as well, where you can find everything you need to know about all the things to see and do.
There are also several State parks in the area as well a wine trail a State bike trail of over 50 miles.
We are also located within Walking distance to the Hospital and Golf Course.
The neighborhood is very quiet and close to all the Grocery stores Restaurants and bars for the nights after your daily adventures.
The house is very spacious with an unbelievable selection of books available for guest use. We encourage our guest to read anything on the shelves. We also allow guest to swap out books we just ask if you take one leave one so others can enjoy them.
So if your looking for comfortable clean affordably priced home near a myriad of adventures, this is the house for you !

Came down over the 4th to hike in Shawnee. This house was perfect for what we needed. Clean, comfortable, affordable and great location. Eric was great to work with! Would come back!

Great Place to Stay While Visiting Family

We are too big of a family to stay with anyone else. And the only hotel room we can stay in is in Marion. So this house is great for us to be able to have a place to stay and spread out!

Great location close to Shawnee National Forest. The house was spotless and well stocked with the basics. The host is super responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location to ride this beautiful area. We rode in from Maryland to meet up with friends that live there and we took our motorcycles through Kentucky, Missouri, and Illinois for 2 days breathtaking area.

Great stay, close to Garden of the Gods

Eric was a super responsive host. The home was lovely, quaint and in the perfect location. It was quiet and clean. It is 6 min from restaurants and 3 from Walmart, because, of course, we forgot things. And about 30 min from Garden of the Gods. The beds are so comfortable, and the washer/dryer was a bonus for us, we were overnighting between two different trips. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area.

We weren’t at the property much, as we were only in the area for my grandma‘s funeral, but the times we were at the house We truly enjoyed it. Such a cute, welcoming home. House was very clean and Eric communicated with us very well.

Such a cozy and welcoming home to stay in.

My family and I went to visit my grandma for a few days and nothing is worse than the hotels in that area. Thankfully we came across this house at the last minute. We loved the antique vibe and all the space. There is a washer and dryer, a large backyard, still close to town, I was able to get a hold of the owner Everytime I needed to. If you are looking to stay in the Harrisburg area, this is where you want to go! Thanks again for a great stay, we can't wait to come back!

We loved how cozy it was. Loved the tub and shower. Loved all the books. My daughter adored the cat books! I was a little worried about how safe the area is/was but we had no trouble so maybe it was just the apartments nearby that made me nervous. Would definitely return and stay again.

We’re sorry your stay had any issues at all however the oven worked perfectly before the stay and also after your stay….I always check it myself. I detect no musty smell but again not going to say you didn’t but that is also a first. The decor is what it is and we and 99% of our guests love it and comment on it but everyone’s taste is different. Nevertheless thanks for staying with us we certainly appreciate it.

This house was extremely comfortable for our family of 5. Plenty of room and 3 kids had their own beds. Bathrooms very clean and water pressure very nice. Did not use washer and dryer but looked clean and functional. Could have used more towel racks and hot water heater is extremely hot but everything else was perfect. We used the home as a base for exploring the sites around the Shawnee National Forest. Harrisburg had everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful home

The property was immaculate and had everything you needed for an extended stay. They’re are dishes,cooking utensils,and everything else you need to cook in if you choose to. What makes it nice is there’s a shower and a tub for the little ones. I couldn’t get over how quiet the street was. The house has a lot of charm, when I walked it it made me feel like going to grandmas. I had a problem getting the Wi-Fi to work so I called the owner and got an immediate response back. He told me what I needed to do and that took care of the problem. The beds are comfortable, and you even have have a washer and dryer should you need them. If you are planning a trip to Harrisburg to visit the beautiful Shawnee Forest I would definitely recommend staying here. I only come home once a year for a renunion but I will definitely stay here again. I would suggest you book early as a home this size will be booked quickly.
