The Copper Roof chalet is perfectly located for outdoor enthusiasts. In summer, the fire pit is waiting for you to roast marshmallows, while you listen to the babbling brook bordering the property. Smugglerā€™s Notch ski resort is a 3-minute drive, there are many hiking trails nearby. Also 3 minutes away is an internationally recognized disc golf destination.

The layout of the chalet is designed to create a sense of togetherness. The open-concept design allows you to cook while being able to see and interact with those in the living room and dining area. The kitchen is well equipped, making it easy to prepare meals and snacks during your stay.

With its warm and inviting atmosphere, the Cooper Roof chalet is the perfect place to create unforgettable memories with your loved ones. Whether you are in the area to enjoy the great outdoors, explore the area or visit friends, we want you to have an enjoyable experience.

From mid-October to mid-May, the direct route thorough the notch over the mountain to Stowe is closed. During this period the drive around from the chalet to Stowe is approximately 50-minute.

Although the cabin was clean, the shower leaked and the entire bathroom floor was wet with water coming up from under all the tiles. It was clear this was an ongoing issue from the cracked grout. There is a wall heater in the bathroom however it would only dry the surface water, anytime you went to the washroom and stepped on the tiles it would make more water come up. Our feet were constantly wet after using the washroom. The towels were old and hard and only had 5 towels so no extras. The second ā€œbedroomā€ is an open loft with no door to close it off for privacy. It does have an exterior door to a balcony which has no window covering and itā€™s full glass. The bathroom window only has a window covering on the bottom part of the window leaving the top window unobstructed which is a privacy concern. The main bedroom is large and beds are comfortable enough. Kitchen is well equipped. Laundry machines were in desperate need of cleaning (inside the drum and where the detergents go) and smelled. We could not use them as we didnā€™t want to risks our clothes coming out with stains or smelling. Lots of general upkeep needed overall. Very expensive for what you get, we would not rent again. Location is decent.

Absolutely as advertised. Clean and very well-equipped. Kitchen appliances and utensils are quality, as is the bedding. Bathroom is downstairs and both bedrooms are upstairs, which was fine with us. Living room furniture is very comfy leather. Location is within a few miles of two top ten in the world disc golf courses as well as a great local restaurant a, a local pizza place, and a brewery. The restaurant (Martell's is a family owned local legend and both the restaurant and brewery have excellent chef menus. Homeowner Maude is immediately responsive. Absolutely highly recommend. We are from texas and will definitely be back.

Adorable house just outside of smugglers notch. A quick over the mountain to Stowe and we found a few good swimming spots nearby. The house was great for us and our dogs for a long weekend. The only thing missing were coffee filters, otherwise the kitchen had what we needed for our stay.

Relaxing Stay at the Chalet

We had a fantastic time at the Chalet. The place was very clean and the bed was super comfy. We had everything we needed - fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, and grill. We were right by the Notch and there were so many beautiful hikes nearby. The owner was very responsive when I would reach out for information. Overall, we had such an amazing stay! Thank you!

Lovely Little House with All a Small Family Needs

We loved our stay in this little ski chalet near Smugglers' Notch. It's a great layout for a couple with two - three kids. It was just three of us - so more than enough space for sleeping and lounging in the common areas. Highly recommended.

First time ski vacation with 4yr old

This was our first time doing a ski vacation with our 4yr old. The chalet was clean and spacious. Due to the loft set up we put our 4yr old in the main room and we slept in the smaller beds, but we were prepared for that beforehand knowing the set up. Linens were washed with scent free detergent which was greatly appreciated for someone that's bothered by smells. There is also a water filter tap that had great tasting water which was a wonderful surprise as we forgot to bring filtered water. Maude was very quick to reply with any questions before our arrival and during our stay. We were minutes from the hill which was great. Our whole trip was wonderful and went better than expected (4yr old are always the wild card) and we'd come back for sure.

Perfect ski chalet

Excellent ski chalet minutes from Smuggs. Super clean, cute and cozy. The owner is extremely responsive and accommodating. Close to ski shop, great restaurants such as Lot 6, Village Tavern and Fanily Table. We had an amazing stay!

Cozy cabin close to Smugglers Notch

This chalet was an excellent basecamp for my husband and I as well as my in-laws for a long weekend during leaf season. Smugglers Notch resort was less than five mins away, and the town of Cambridge was less than 10 for groceries or more dining options. 20 mins or less to hiking trails in the notch or Stowe resort.

Beautiful location, cozy chalet stay

This was my first time visiting and staying in Smuggler's Notch and it proved to be a wonderful choice! We really enjoyed the location of this chalet, very easy to navigate to and from, and had access to all the things we wanted to do in the surrounding area...dinner in Stowe, apple picking, hiking Mansfield, fishing in the Mad River etc. Also, the chalet was very clean, warm, cozy, spacious, and well stocked with everything we needed for the kitchen cooking needs. Our host Maude was very communicative, kind, and provided great service. I have already begun looking at when I can book again! Highly recommend visiting Smuggler's Notch, and staying at this comfortable chalet!

Perfect location

We loved the house and the grounds felt like we were away from it all. 108 is very busy and you can hear the cars zooming up and down the mountain. A bit too loud and fast for us. Overall, the place worked well.

Close and cozy

Simple family home that was very close (less than 5 minutes) to Smugglers for skiing, ski shop, and town for groceries and shopping. Comfortable for 2-4 guests. Stocked with all necessary amenities. Very clean. Small property with stream that runs alongside. If bringing dogs, necessary to walk on the leash bc of road traffic and small yard. Would recommend for anyone looking for more affordable accommodations compared to staying at the resort.
