Get up here to the Mountain Getaway cabin. This true “mountain” cabin is the perfect place to make memories in beautiful Garden Valley. Whether you are sledding, enjoying hot springs or pools, nature watching, white water rafting or any of the many other outdoor activities you will find the cabin as comfortable as home – but better! Great for small families and groups, the cabin sleeps 9 guests in two private bedrooms downstairs – one with King the other a Queen, another Queen and two twins in the loft as well as a sofa sleeper in the living room. The full bath, fully stocked kitchen, dining area and living area with fabulous wood burning fireplace complete the place. Located centrally and close to everything, this is the place to chill!

Cozy cabin with an awesome fireplace. We greatly enjoyed our stay. The host was very helpful and had the heat turned on for us while we were there since the electric heater wasn't working. The geothermal heat really works! While maybe lacking some curb appeal, this cabin was nicely decorated and comfortable (the beds are comfy too!) and convenient to things in the area.

Had a little weekend retreat here and it was everything we wanted. Cabin was clean when we arrived, views were incredible and location was nice! We went golfing at the resort nearby (5 minute drive from the cabin. For those doing this tee times can be booked two weeks in advance and I’d recommend this as tee times fill up quick.), but again, the cabin was great! Space was nice! Only recommendations I’d gave, maybe “redoing” the outdoor fireplace and maybe having some fans available for those hot times. We would open the windows once temperature started dropping and that helped but it was still just a touch warm. But just a fantastic place to stay and get away from the city! Would 100% stay again!

Garden Valley cabin

Cabin was clean and comfortable, nice touch with the greeting board and goodies in the basket. Road traffic made it a little noisy and dusty, but was expected. Cabin stayed cool during the day and into the evening, beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked.

Perfect getaway

Wanted to just have a relaxing weekend with the kids. It was perfect so relaxing and quiet. Loved sitting on the back deck and listening to the quiet of the night, watching wildlife and the stars in the cool crisp air. We want to rent again. Loved it! Thank you for having us

Beautiful and relaxing

Enjoyed our weekend immensely! Lovely property with all amenities. Elk and black bear even meandered peacefully through the yard. Not ideal to spend time during a heatwave as there is no AC. We would love to visit again nonetheless.

Hi! Glad you enjoyed your stay! How awesome that you got to see so much wildlife! I've been here 20 years and never seen a bear! Most homes weren't built with A/C up here as in the past it was never needed. We will make sure there are plenty of fans and look into an A/C unit at least for the upstairs. It always helps if you open all the windows overnight, then close up the blinds and everything tight during the day - should help. Karen

Everything about this place is overpriced. When we booked it says you have access to a pool. Which is technically true but its miles down the road, and cost 10-12 per person( they gave us a half of coupon, but the pool wouldn't honor it). Overall i guess it was ok. The fees associated with this property are ridiculous for no reason. The cabin doesn't even have A/C, its old and in need of repairs, everything is completely outdated including bedding and towels. None of this would bother me if it wasn't for the premium price. For the money you can get a better place in the same area. The description makes it sound great but it's very deceptive. nothing special about this cabin.

Wow! If you were so unhappy, why did I never hear from you? The TL pool is a walkable distance from the cabin, maybe 1.5 miles, if that. The description is not deceptive in any way - cozy, rustic cabin. Not advertised as having A/C. You said, "You can get a better place in the same area." I have one question for you. Why did you choose to book this cabin?

Perfect for our short stay

Our six adults were comfortable in the beds. Location is beautiful in the terrace Lakes area. Entrance to the house was simple. Both the front and the back porch could’ve used some sprucing up and cleaning. When I got there, it looked like it was going to be a dump as that was the first thing that I saw however we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness in the house. Sound does carry a lot to the loft upstairs which impacted people downstairs getting up when they wanted. The lockbox for the key was nice, but everyone had a hard time putting the key back as it did not seem to work well. Seating was comfortable kitchen was stocked.. We all thought it was a little strange that there was so much personal items in the drawers and closets. We were told the directions were not accurate for GPS. However, the directions they gave us were not accurate as there is no orange gate, which was written in the directions. It was very difficult to find at night. It be nice if the fees were all inclusive as the price seem to jump up quite quite a bit from the listed price. It was more than just the extra dog charge which I expected. Welcome sign in the house really did feel nice. Overall, I would rent this cabin again.
