Relaxing Zen House! Work, relax, & play two blocks from private beach access!

Our Zen House is a relaxing pet-friendly home, fully equipped for the whole family to enjoy! Located just an easy five-minute walk away from the ocean, your stay will include a key granting you private access to the neighborhood beach. All the beach essentials are available for your use, including six beach chairs, a beach shade, coolers, and a beach wagon. An outdoor shower is located underneath the stairs to cool off after a long day in the sun.

There are three bedrooms, one with a reclining split king with independent head and foot elevation, and two bedrooms with a single queen bed. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, as well as high quality linens and pillows, plus a ceiling fan and white noise machines to guarantee a good nightā€™s rest. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a large island for easy cooking and serving. Thereā€™s also an outdoor Blackstone griddle available to help you cook for a crowd. The kitchen island seats six people, and the dining table can expand to seat eight, so there will be plenty of room for your group to enjoy a meal together.

When youā€™re not at the beach, take your pick of either the upstairs or downstairs living room. Both have sectional couches and Roku TVs, perfect for a family movie night. You can relax and watch the sunrise on the upper deck, or spend some time sitting back in the chairs on the lower patio. Feel free to enjoy a little bit of nature while relaxing in the enclosed porch that has a twin XL daybed and a ceiling fan. The Zen House is also stocked with board games and a ping pong table for family game nights! There are 3 adult size bicycles for your use. For the remote workers, the house has an adjustable standing desk, printer, and monitor available for use along with high-speed internet in the downstairs office space. There is a hammock that fits under the lift desk, fitting for a child. Also available is a Japanese folding futon mat and mattress.
Along with easy beach access, the house is located close to plenty of restaurants and shops, including local favorites The Veggie Wagon and Freddieā€™s. The popular Carolina Beach boardwalk is a five-minute drive away, or a 12-minute ride using the three bikes available with your stay! Other exciting things close by are the Greenway Trail, the Southport Ferry, or seeing the otters at the Fort Fisher Aquarium!

As a recently retired educator, I have looked forward to being at the beach in September for a very long time. Our trip and stay at the Zen House was everything we had hoped for. The space was perfect for our family and having access to the beach so close made for a perfect get-away. The home is well equipped and I would look forward to returning if the opportunity allows!

Everything we could possibly need or want was provided, and the communication was great. Iā€™m sure if we had any issues they wouldā€™ve been resolved quickly. Close to the beach, but has great privacy!

Perfect stay

The house was great! Very clean and well stocked. The PM was super friendly and answered any questions we had. The walk to the beach is very short. Having a private access meant there was plenty of free space at the beach to spread out.

We had such a wonderful stay at The Zen House. Everything was perfect. Beautiful immaculate home with very well stocked kitchens and bathrooms. The owner was fabulous - very communicative, thoughtful, and responsive. We hope to be back again before relocating to the Wilmington area next year. Highly recommend!

True relaxation

We enjoyed the Zen house very much. Our hosts anticipated everything guests could possibly need. The private beach access was great! My son said it best when he expressed that there was a "sense of community" there with all the neighbors enjoying their routines as if we belonged.

Great summer vacation

The house exceeded our expectations. Very comfortable, clean and inviting. Also well stocked. Location was perfect and the walk to the beach was just a few minutes. Communication with the property manager couldn't have been better, who went above and beyond for us. We hope to return!

We had a wonderful time at the Zen House. Carol thought of everything and provided so many conveniences that made it easier for us. The house is two blocks over from the beach. The private entrance with parking at the beach made things very convenient as well. She has a great place under the porch for you to clean off after a walk or visit to the beach. 3 full bedrooms and 3 baths was an added plus for our family. We would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Zen House! The house was exactly as advertised in the listing. It was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with linens and toiletries. The kitchen was also well stocked with dishes, utensils, & appliances. The house is just a short walk to the beach and comes with a key for private beach access which was really nice. They even have a wagon you can use to bring chairs, etc. The property manager, Barbara, was responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Definitely a zen house

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Zen House. Less than a 5 minute walk to the beach with private access, the location is great. The house is comfortable and well stocked with all the beach items you could want. The project manager Barbara was so nice and helpful and made great restaurant recommendations for us. The bed was comfortable, nice fluffy towels, everything was great! Canā€™t wait to come back.

Spring Break 2024

We enjoyed our stay at, Kure Beach Zen House! It was a perfect fit and the host and Co-Host were very accommodating prior to our stay and throughout! The location is ideal and private beach access is perfect for early am or sunset walk! The bikes provided with the rental are perfect to enjoy the island greenway and finish the day with game of ping pong! Communication with host was very responsive and helpful during our stay and would highly recommended this rental!

We had a wonderful stay at the Zen house. It was perfect for our family get together over Mother's Day weekend. Well stocked kitchen and well stocked with toilet paper and paper towel and even to go coffee cups. Ping Pong table and bikes were a hit with our older children. Our property manager, Barbara, was amazing at communicating and provided all the information we needed. Well done Zen! We appreciate you and loved our stay.

Fantastic!!

The Zen house is fantastic. The house is very well stocked - more so than any vacation property weā€™ve stayed in. The placed was very clean and more spacious than expected. The location is perfect - a short walk to the beach and easy to get anywhere on the island. The neighbors in the cul de sac are all super friendly as well. Iā€™d highly recommend. Weā€™ll be back!

The best beach house we have stayed at so far!

This house was perfect for our family and is so comfortable that we didnā€™t mind having lazy afternoons hanging out and playing games.The kitchen is large and well-stocked, the house was big enough to stretch out and have our own space, and the location was so close to the beachā€¦ about a 5 minute walk at most.There are boogie boards, coolers, bikes, and beach chairs and toys to use and we used the Blackstone griddle every day!The only negative was that the shower heads were quite clogged and sprayed all over and are not reachable by a short person (like me).The property manager, Barbara, was great and the communication from her was also great.We have already booked again for next Summer!
