Your family is going to simply love their stay in gorgeous Crystal Beach when you book this gulf view, dog-friendly home for your next vacation! Inside, the home is open and spacious, with sparkling floors, lots of roomy furniture that includes two new queen sleeper sofas and a large, mounted, flatscreen Smart TV to watch your favorite ballgames on with family and friends. The home's high-speed internet and free WiFi make it quick and easy for remote workers and students to complete their projects on time. The full kitchen enjoys granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, terrific cookware, and even a center prep island/breakfast bar with barstool seating for up to seven people. Outside, the gulf views are absolutely fantastic from the expansive, furnished upper-deck. Use the charcoal grill to throw a little char on some freshly-caught fish and vegetables then spread out to enjoy your meal al-fresco while taking in the salty Gulf air with good friends and lots of refreshing cocktails to go around. The kids will love romping around the enclosed yard with the family dogs, and you'll be just steps away from the beach, so you can bring the provided beach towels down to the sand anytime you like!

The house was beautifully decorated and clean. Floor plan is great. Perfect location and easy access to the beach. We enjoyed our stay very much. Beach was super clean. Loved it all.

The room with bunk beds didn’t cool off as much as the rest of the house (hot at night) and the kitchen sink dripped. Other than that it was great!!! Will definitely be going back!!

Back to school beach house

Family and furry pups had a great time! The fenced yard made life easier. I did feel like with booking 11 people that there would be more than 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom. But it was a great time and the grandkids love it!

Hey Lisa! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and that a great time was had by all! We do tell guests in the pre-check-in correspondence that we provide a starter amount of paper products, including toilet paper, so nobody is surprised by that :)

Wonderful vacation spot

Easy check-in, wonderful place to stay. Kids loved the downstairs area and the huge picnic table. Fenced in backyard was wonderful for children.

Kaila, this is ridiculous and irresponsible. Deceptive reviews like this should be grounds to remove you from this platform. The house has no bed bugs, nor did you have any such concerns during your stay. You said the bunk room was too warm so the crew immediately brought over a box fan. You had no further complaints. You are not welcome back to any VisitCBTX properties.

Resting Beach Face is wonderful!

This is a wonderful place to stay! Tons of amenities and a fully stocked kitchen. Our favorite thing was the fence for our dogs. Loved the super close beach access too!

It was fun but the people that stayed there before us weren’t very clean. When we arrived the cleaning ladies were still there, and the trash from the previous people hadn’t been taken out.

The property was okay. Some of the rooms weren’t clean and when i messaged the property manager it took her forever to respond back. The place was fairly close to the beach which was nice but the mosquitoes were terrible even with bug spray😭

Hi Melani, the mosquitoes are definitely bothersome at times, which is why we include it in all our pre-check-in correspondence to be prepared for them. I'm sorry they affected your stay. I would like to note your first email message to us was at 12:30am and we responded immediately upon receiving it at 8am. Guests are given two phone numbers to call if there is an urgent issue or request. Best wishes!

TRIP COMPLETELY RUINED

We were there for 8 hours when are daughters (4teens)went to bed only to wake up screaming to bites. BED BUGS ALL OVER THE BED!! We had to stay in a motel down the road (2 rooms over 450 dollars. ) This was the most disgusting thing I have ever had to deal with at 2 am ! It’s was my daughter’s birthday we had family coming from out of town, we had to redirect to our home to stay rest of the weekend. We paid 500 for GOLF CARTS we had to return with NO REFUND!! I’m so upset . VRBO YOU NEED TO DO BETTER! For starters FIRE your cleaning crew , there was trash under the bed in the girls room where the BED BUGS were.

Due to the late hour of the complaint, this guest and her family were placed in a nearby motel. This guest suffered no financial loss for the house or motel. Management and VRBO investigated the complaint thoroughly. Due to the sensitive nature of the complaint, the entire property was professionally treated, in addition to being on quarterly pest control treatment. Both management and VRBO are dedicated to customer service and are satisfied that this issue has been resolved. This case has been closed.

It was okay

We got to check in early to find the house not all the way cleaned there was a dirty spoon in one of the bedrooms and pieces of bacon on the bunk bed. The second bedroom had stained dirty sheets, pillow cases, and comforter. We noticed the house was a little hot so we turned on the ac unit and it wouldn't cool off below 78 i contacted the house owner and she asked me to turn it off for a few to see if we could wait till the ac guy came to fix it. It took two hours before the guy came out and we had just decided to go hang out at the beach and he arrived left within mins because we weren't notified that he was there so he left. Then returned a hour later and started working on it then he eventually got it fixed. But for the first 4hrs we were checked in we were without AC.

Vacation

The house was great. We really enjoyed it and will be back. The first night we were there the whole peninsula lost power which was nobody's fault. But then it messed up the air conditioner because it was so hot it couldn't keep up so it was hot in the house. I contacted them about it and she had someone right out to fix it and then we had no more issues. She was eady to communicate with. My one issue is that the house says it holds 15 people, but there were only 7-8 forks and so we didn't have enough at the meals for the entire crew to eat with. ( we went and bought plastic ones but those don't work on certain meals very well). I would just recommend they get enough to at least accommodate the number of people the house holds.. also, the beds on the couch are not very comfortable for adults. They may be okay for the kids though. Overall, we had a pleasant trip and would go back, i would just like to see these couple of issues fixed. #vaca23 was great. Will be back.

Hey Vanessa, thank you for letting me know about the flatware- it gets lost throughout the season & so sorry we didn't catch it first! We will get that fixes right away & will consider some toppers for the sofa beds. Y'all were great guests! Come back & see us!

Great location but lots to be desired

First impression was great. House seemed clean and taken care of. Within minutes we found what appeared to be blood on a comforter, shower knob in spare bath didn’t work, fan in spare bath didn’t work. Next morning of our stay we went to make breakfast and found very little pans to work with. The ones we did find were filthy. There was one skillet in the entire kitchen and it looked like it had been outside for months. 3rd day we came back to the house to find a couple of roaches which is clearly a problem because there was a can of bug spray in the laundry room. I reached out to Jessica about the shower and vent and was told that someone would come fix it the next day, no one ever came. Bunk room had no ceiling fan but there were 2 box fans for use but again, covered in dirt and dust. All in all, we would not recommend this home. They are trying to sell so I feel that maintenance and condition of the home aren’t a priority at this time. We stayed to celebrate my in laws 50 year wedding anniversary and the stay left so much to be desired and we felt embarrassed that we picked such a place to take them.

Amber I'm sorry to hear the details of your experience - I wish these details had been shared during your stay so we could have resolved them. I assure you we remain committed to our properties regardless of whether they are for sale or not. You specifically told me you managed to get the shower working and not to send maintenance. It was repaired as soon as you checked out, as well as the stained bedding, which was clean but the stain hadn't come out completely and it shouldn't have been placed back out. I apologize for the lapse. We will do a full inventory of pots & pans to ensure we are back to a full set. Best wishes.

Almost, but not quite

Check in went smoothly, but when I actually got into the house, that was a different story. I noticed that there were window units in the bedrooms, which I did not see in pictures or in details of the beach house. Then when I went to go look at the window units there were big gaps between it and the window it was in. You could see outside. These were not small, they were significant gaps because they were not installed properly. Also, the bottom of the blinds in one of the bedrooms was completely broken and left hanging. I messaged the host and someone was sent over right away to make. I guess you could call them repairs. The rugs in the front room and one of the main bedrooms have stains on them as well as some of the furniture has some staining. Beds were not comfortable at all, and there is very minimal things in the kitchen. The rug that was in the kitchen, as well as the bathroom are not meant to be rugs for kitchens and bathrooms. They have no gripper on the back and slide all over the floor. The toilet seat in one of the bathrooms does not fit the toilet that it is on and it is very uncomfortable. if you are not from the Gulf Coast area, you would not know how to work the front door. There’s no instruction on how to work the front door as it is a hurricane door and takes an extra tug of the handle in a certain direction so you can lock it. There was also trash downstairs on the stairs on the deck as well as cigarettes and a lighter that were found by our kids.
