Fun place!

I definitely recommend staying at Lynn's place. Check in was super easy and the apartment is in a great neighbourhood. Perfect for friends or families visiting San Diego.

Family Getaway

Our family of 8 stayed here and had a nice visit. Very convenient to get to attractions and downtown. The rooftop deck was awesome. We spent most of our time out there and helped everyone not feel crowded.

Enjoyable stay

Lovely property fit our family needs very well. Lots of space in the bedrooms and open concept to gather upstairs. The surrounding neighbourhood was also very pleasant to walk around in. Very central location to many of the sites we took in. I would book this location again.

Quick getaway

We loved being so close to the ball park and zoo. Everything was super easy my children loved watching the airplanes coming in to land. Comfortable place to be. Would love to come back again!

Perfect stay in San Diego

My friends and I had an amazing time staying at this penthouse. The rooms were clean and we loved the natural lighting on the top floor. Our favorite was the patio area, it was a perfect environment to spend time together. Definitely will be back here when we visit San Diego again!

Great Time in SD

This penthouse was exactly as listed. We had a group of 8 and never felt crowded. The location was 10 minutes from everything! When we return to SD we will definitely stay here.

Great property

This was a very nice place to stay. There was a large area to play games, nice outdoor area with a seating area around a table fire pit. The bedrooms had a nice configurations of beds. Large area to keep clothing. Highly recommend

Great Property!

Rented Lynn's penthouse for a quick trip with my family and it was lovely! The photos are accurate, check-in process was a breeze, and Lynn is really nice and responsive. The penthouse is cute and modern, really clean and well-appointed with new appliances. I think anyone could easily book this property for extended stays, as there are little desks perfect for remote working in each bedroom. Would totally book again!

Nice layout for a two-family stay

We had two families of 4 staying and the layout of the place was ideal: 2 full baths, 2 bedrooms with queen mattresses, and a third bedroom with two double beds for kids (the siblings shared beds). The upstairs is the common space, so that was also great in keeping noise contained for after the kids went to bed. The place had some minor cleanliness issues (some hair in the shower, upstairs smelled due to something lingering in the garbage disposal, some stains in the sheets), but overall it was a smooth and pleasant stay for two families looking to make the most of San Diego.

Clean, comfortable and close

The three words in the title essentialist everything about this property. It is close to the heart of downtown San Diego and yet enough away that it is easy to get to Balboa Park and other areas of the city. The penthouse is quite comfortable with 3 ample sized bedrooms all in the main level of the house that is situated over the parking area and above the sound of the street. There are two bathrooms on the main floor situated among the bedrooms that are convenient to all of the guests. Each room has plenty of natural light with shades to be able to keep privacy and sleep late without stray morning light. Upstairs from the bedrooms is a living room area and open kitchen with all of the amenities for comfortable living for several days. On the outside patio/deck adjoining the kitchen area is a gas grill, sitting area and a fire pit. All in all this was a terrific place to stay, that included WiFi tv, and covered parking for 2 cars.

Perfect Space

We rented the Penthouse for a family vacation in San Diego and it turned out to be the perfect space for us. First, the location is very central allowing easy drives to Zoo, Downtown, Coronado, Mission Bay, La Jolla, etc. The neighborhood was quaint and felt safe with coffee shops and grocery shopping nearby. The fact that there is parking for 2 cars is incredibly helpful considering how difficult parking seems in general in San Diego. In terms of the inside, it is exactly as advertised. It’s spacious for a family with multiple kids and well laid out. (Kids LOVED their own rooms) The space is new, well maintained, nicely decorated and very clean. The outdoor space is just as shown in the pictures and is really nice. It’s a great spot for morning coffee and happy hour! There are numerous places that would be great for a “work from home” situation. Lynn, the host, was exceptional with easy and fast communication before and during our stay. My wife left her brand new bathing suit hanging on the back of a door and Lynn contacted us and sent it back to her. That was a beautiful and unexpected touch. I would highly recommend this space and host.

We are empty nesters and have lived in San Diego since 1985. Creating the short term rentals at The Post Office Lofts and sharing our beautiful city with visitors who are both local and come to us from afar is a delight for us.

We purchased the landmark Golden HIll post office building, built in the 1960's, in 2020. We were attracted to the wide streets, historic homes, and mature landscaping of the charming Golden Hill neighborhood. The property, which had been remodeled into 3 apartment units in 2012 but was somewhat run down, offered an intriguing opportunity.
The parcel included The Penthouse which was built during the apartment conversion on the north parking lot of the post office, thus becoming the fourth unit. The other 3 units
have been remodeled to offer one long term rental and two other short-term rentals. Offering up to 9 bedrooms and sleeping for up to 23 (not counting babies!), the Post Office Lofts is a perfect vacation spot for larger groups in town for weddings, reunions and other celebrations.

Our visitors love the urban location of the Post Office Lofts. The Penthouse is an ideal spot for families as well as adults traveling together to explore San Diego. One of the few properties in Golden Hill with a City view, the deck with soft seating, firepit and cafe lights off the second level great room is a cozy gathering space to enjoy the cool San Diego evenings or early morning coffee. The bedrooms are spacious and similar in size and offer a full wall of closet space in each, unlike a typical older home in the area that would have much smaller spaces and limited storage. The gleaming white kitchen offers a large dining table for up to 8 and an adjacent living room with large screen tv. New, fresh and light filled...a lovely place to stay!
