The cabin boasts five bedrooms, three baths, two living rooms, a spacious, fully equipped kitchen, and a breezy screened porch with views overlooking the creek. 50 acres of woods and rolling farmland in the heart of rural Rockbridge County make it the perfect country getaway. Only ten minutes from historic downtown Lexington, the cabin is secluded yet accessible, inviting you to enjoy and explore the area`s many attractions.

Directions sent before check in.
1. We ask that you please update us regarding the number of guests that you plan to have stay at the cabin. The maximum amount of guests that can sleep at Willow Haven is sixteen.
2. Willow Haven Cabin does not host special events. (i.e. weddings, large parties)
3. If you wish to bring a pet, please make sure you have submitted a refundable $500 deposit check made payable to Goodman Properties, LLC. If a pet is unattended, please keep them crated to prevent potential damages.
4. Check-in time is 4:00 PM, and we ask that you be checked out no later than 10:00 AM. Please call for special exceptions. If a guest has not received special permission and has not checked out by 10:00, an additional night’s fee will be charged.
5. We have a catch-and-release policy in which we ask you to return all fish caught back into Kerr’s creek.
6. Please help us keep WHC at its best. Please notify us of any damages done to the property or maintenance items that need our attention.

If you are looking for a secluded stay in a very nice, spacious place, this is perfect. We had a rainy weekend - but outdoor amenities are wonderful in good weather. Close to Lexington proper and has delivery services for food.

This was a great property with so much rustic charm! It was the perfect spot for us to gather with all of our kids and grandchildren. The creek and game room were perfect spaces to hang out. We spent most of the day just sitting by the creek.

Wesley and his group were respectful of the house and property. All was left in excellent condition and the check out rules were followed. We would love to have them again.

A Great Cabin

Fall Family Trip

We enjoyed our stay at Willow Haven! The location was great. We enjoyed a trip to Virginia Safari! We enjoyed shopping and eating downtown Lexington.

Our stay at Willow Haven was perfect! We celebrated our son's birthday with a few cadets from VMI and the house and grounds and game room shed was perfect for it. There were many options for sitting and enjoying the peaceful quiet view (during moments alone) with the grassy yard area, the screened porch with a great swing or even the large picture windows when inside. We really liked the layout of the house with an area for my husband and me and a friend and his son and then the other side of the house for the cadets. The kitchen doesn't have a lot of counter available but it's easy to make do with a large round table with a big lazy susan on top. Perfect seating for a bunch of cadets who sat for good lengths of time eating a lot! We didn't get a chance to use the fire pit but it no doubt would have been enjoyable to do so and look up at the stars. Not a lot of light pollution happening there. As crazy as this might seem, the most important aspect for me was the ease of controlling the thermostat! Getting a temperature in the house needed for a good night sleep makes all the difference. A dark room, comfortable bed, sound machine (we brought) and a cool temperature made for a perfect sleeping situation! And after catering to a bunch of cadets throughout the weekend, my sleep was crucial!Willow Haven was very accommodating and comfortable and made for a relaxed weekend even though my husband and I were hosting and entertaining a lot.

The five bedrooms and three baths are spread out and the two living rooms makes for ample resting and visiting time. The new game room has been a hit with most of our guests. Wonderful visit

The house, game shed, and outdoor areas were lovely and enjoyed by the entire family of all ages. The owner had great communication and recommendations for fun local activities such as visiting Natural Bridge Park and Virginia Safari Park. Thank you!

Amazing but too short

We had an amazing time. Cannot say enough about the location, amazingly clean, awesome location to everything we wanted to do. Even went tubing down the creek. Such a blast, definitely returning. So sad to leave. Amazing hosts.!!

This property was stunning and its natural elements and perfect for our multigenerational family. The kids loved exploring the stream and surrounding woods and playing in the yard. The whole family loved the fire pit. I worked from a lovely screened in porch overlooking the stream. And the historic house was very comfortable and charming. The fact that it was dog friendly was also a huge plus., the dogs loved it too! We’ve stayed in the area six or seven times to visit our VMI cadet, and this was one of our top two favorite stays. Thank you so much!

2022 Christmas

Loved the history of the cabin , the privacy, the River view and sound of the water as well as the wild life ( ducks. Wild turkeys). The fire place was wonderful.

Great Family place

We were there for a wedding in Lexington. My extended family stayed here and we had a great time. We really enjoyed the peacefulness of the land and river. The older cousins enjoyed the firepit at night making smores. The bathrooms were are great surprise in that the shower head were nice and high. We are a family of giants most everyone was 6ft to 6ft &inch tall. So a tall shower is greatly appreciated. The house had everything we needed including kitchen essentials and a iron/iron board. It is a great place.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Willow Haven Cabin is a perfect place to get away for the weekend while remaining close to Lexington Va and all of its amenities. The cabin feels incredibly secluded with an endless supply of great views and moments with the family. The inside of the cabin is extremely comfortable and cozy and offers everything you need for an easy and relaxing stay. The grounds are amazing with a fun barn that has darts, ping pong table, horseshoes, and cornhole game. The kids loved playing in the creek and walking around the property. The gas fireplace in the house was great in the evenings when it got too cold by the fire pit outside of the house. Cannot recommend the house enough.

Cabin was very quaint, excellent location, easy drive to get there from the main road, and plenty of rooms/beds for our party.The creek was excellent, the kids spent plenty of time in there wading around and catching crawfish. The outdoor space was great, clean, and plenty entertaining for everyone.Inside, the furniture was plentiful and comfortable. Everything was updated for the most part and the beds/seating was comfortable.We did have a few hiccups, stink bugs everywhere in the house, especially in the upstairs rooms. My sister chose to sleep on the couch downstairs because of it. I understand the feel of a cabin, but it was pretty excessive. The toilet in the bathroom off the kitchen didn't work half the time because of the flush kit, should be updated to match the other toilet. And the toilet seat needed to be replaced. And the floors everywhere in the house are not level, I assume because of the way everything has settled over the years. This is an old property updated to be nicer. This wasn't a big issue for us, however we had 2 elderly folks in our party and I was very concerned for them moving around.All in all this house and location did us well, and would for sure recommend it to others. Just wanted to mention the few things that we noticed.

We were at out son's wedding in the mountains and had a great time at the cabin. It was relaxing.

When google map says you are here, keep driving. The cabin is at the end of a private drive which is better traveled for the first time during the day! When you arrive, it looks like a small 2-story cabin. But, upon further investigation the left side of the house has a living room with fireplace, an attached screened porch overlooking the creek, and twin bedroom on the main floor with 2 bedrooms (queen & king) and a bathroom upstairs. Staircases to upper floor are steep, but worth the climb. Next is the kitchen with a double jacuzzi bath attached. Further down the hallway is a 3rd bathroom with double shower heads, washer and dryer and a sitting area. Above the sitting area is the loft with 2 full size beds. Watch your head when you go up the stairs to the loft. A little further on the main floor is another king bedroom. The kitchen has all the amenities you will need. You just have to look through all the cupboards to find them. Two recommendations for the kitchen are a rack or shelves for groceries and new dishwasher. The top drawer to the dishwasher kept falling off its rails. We used all 4 bedrooms and the loft. Beds were comfortable. The loft had a window air conditioner which worked great! We had to shut some vents on the main floor to get more air upstairs. Bathroom had great towels and shower soap. The house had plenty of tissues and toilet paper. We were at our son's wedding in the mountains and had a great time at the cabin. It was very relaxing.

This place was great! We had a wonderful family trip! My kids all asked if we could live there! Ha. We enjoyed the convenience to Lexington with the quiet creekside location. We saw a few deer out the window in the evenings and early mornings! Great experience! We would rent again!
