Welcome to Keystone Retreat, your perfect home away from home in San Antonio! Our charming 3 bedroom home plus detached Casita, is located in the Keystone neighborhood in the Deco District, a vibrant and up and coming area in the heart of San Antonio.

Built in the 1940s, our home has been thoughtfully updated and decorated with classic design, offering a unique and stylish experience for our guests. The home features 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a detached Casita with bunk beds and living space. The home comfortably sleeps 8 and that is maximum capacity.

We believe in a good night's sleep and have provided high end mattresses with premium linens. Both down and synthetic pillows are available for your choosing, as well as down duvets and cotton blankets.

The Casita is detached from the main house and is located in the fenced yard. It has a living area with futon, TV, a sink area and a dedicated remote work desk, perfect for those who need to work from home during their stay. (Note: There is not a bathroom in the Casita)

The recently remodeled kitchen, in the main house, supplies all your needs for a family meal. Also provided is a full size washer and dryer with detergent for your convenience. There is a private covered patio with dining table and a grill for a nice meal outdoors.

We do allow pets but must be pre-approved prior to booking. There is a two dog maximum and requires a pet fee upon booking. (Please see pet rules prior to booking)

The temperature in the home is kept between 70 and 78 for your comfort.

Our home is located just a short distance from downtown San Antonio and other popular tourist attractions, such as the Alamo, River Walk, and Pearl District. Only 20 minutes from Lackland AFB and perfect for families attending Air Force BMT graduation ceremonies.

The Keystone neighborhood is known for its active and friendly community, making it the perfect place to stay for those looking to experience the local San Antonio culture. Whether you are visiting for business or pleasure, Keystone Retreat is a comfortable home base for your San Antonio adventures.

What an incredibly convenient location to our needs during our stay in San Antonio. This house was like a big calming cup of tea at the end of long days. So very comfortable, accommodating to our large party, everything thoughtfully arranged and clean. Check in and check out was a breeze. The outside common area was so nice to have to visit with family and no one felt at any point they were crowded. The Google system that ran everything was convenient and everyone left considering installing it in their own homes. At no point were we left wanting a single detail. Owners were thoughtful and a delight to communicate with throughout. I could not recommend this rental enough. Don’t pass on this place!

The house was very nice and the beds were very comfortable. Everything we needed to be comfortable was there in the home already. We really liked that it was very clean and spacious. The bidet was a wonderful surprise! The neighbors were friendly. The neigh hood was quiet. My family and I truly enjoyed our stay here.

We were extremely pleased with the property. It is very convenient to everything you will want to do in San Antonio. (including a grocery store that is in walking distance). It is also one of the best equipped VRBO properties we have stayed at with every appliance you would want. The house is very nicely decorated and has an incredible backyard with a grill, dining table and an outdoor TV. (A perfect hangout area for the entire family). It also has a bonus ADU, so there is plenty of room for everyone. If your family is planning a trip to San Antonio, I highly recommend this property.

We had a great stay. House felt warm and cozy. Close to lots of restaurants. Love all the extras in the house, the record player and the collection of records, our favorite books of Edgar Allan Poe, cook books and board games the list goes on and on.

Hidden gem of San Antonio. If you are in the area and looking for somewhere to stay and be in comfort this is definitely the top of the list. Amazing location being 5-15 minutes from all of the event centers and attractions. Very beautiful and clean home with a perfect patio area to hangout with family! The hosts is what makes it the best. If you ask them a question they get an answer for you as soon as possible, and very easy to communicate with. Very lovely home, lovely area, and lovely hosts. Will definitely be the place I stay time and time and time again.

There is a reason that James and Honey have so many incredible reviews and it is because they have gone above and beyond to make sure their guests are comfortable and feel at home during their stay. We were in town for a wedding and could not be happier with our accommodations. Due to the fact that our weekend was action packed with wedding activities, we were unfortunately not able to fully utilize everything that their home has to offer but the next time we head to San Antonio I will absolutely be looking to stay here again. They have truly thought of everything their guests might need in a home away from home, some of which include the useful digital guide, thoughtful decor, cozy beds, luxurious towels, well stocked kitchen, and inviting outdoor space. Everything about this house is just perfect and that is absolutely a reflection of the amazing hosts.

Perfect!

James and Honey were wonderful hosts and we loved our stay in their home! We spent a weekend here after our son’s pilot training graduation at Laughlin AFB. We wanted a homey launching pad that we could recharge at and spend quality time together. We definitely found it here. We had 4 of our kids ages 12-25 with us and the house offered something for everyone. Checking in and out was easy, they were very communicative and left detailed instructions to make our stay go smoothly. When we arrived, they even had a nice note to congratulate my son on his graduation. We had plenty of space to spread out, but also had nice cozy communal spaces when we wanted to watch movies or play games (lots provided and we had some serious corn hole matches outside) or talk. The house is in the city, but we felt very safe and didn't have city noise. It was also very centrally located and easy to get to the river walk, Alamo, air port and anywhere else you would want to visit. The house itself was super clean and comfortable and great attention was paid to details, which gave it a homey feel. Luxurious beds, any kitchen device you would need, beautiful art and decor, a record player (huge hit with our 12 year old). Really, anything that we needed was there. And the AC worked great to counter the TX heat in August!We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore San Antonio! Thank you, James and Honey!

Great place!

Real wood floors....fluffy beds, updated kitchen and baths. Had everything you would need. Love the Casita, my daughter was able to do her online school while on vacation. We actually just hung out on the couch some of the time.

The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. It had everything needed for a relaxing and convenient stay. Basketball tournament

We stayed here for my son's basketball tournament. I did not want to stay in a hotel since we have a family of 5 and also invited a grandparent to go with us. The house has plenty of room for all of us to have some privacy, relax as a family, and everything we needed for me to cook 3 meals everyday. The house is super cute and in a great location, close to downtown and all of the tournament locations. We loved our stay and would recommend to others.

Urban oasis

The property is very cute, functional and well stocked with most anything you need to make your stay enjoyable. It’s an older home with very tasteful and well done updates. The location is 3 mins from a grocery store and quick access to interstate 10 for relatively easy travel around San Antonio. The owners are super organized and thoughtful. They communicate all you need beforehand and available when/if needed. I recommend this wonderful gem of a place and would happily stay again.

Wedding Weekend

Our stay @ Keystone Resort was perfect. The wedding venue and festivities were downtown and so the location was convenientThe house itself was roomy and clean! We also used the Casita for a family member known for his snores! So it was perfect!

Unique and great place!

What a pleasure it was to be in a vacation rental that really felt like a HOME? No BnB kitsch. Comfortable furniture and beds, well equipped kitchen, and ample room for 5 adults. I especially enjoyed the real victrola with a delightful varied selection of LP records. My only recommendation would be to supply facial tissues and toilet paper made from bamboo or recycled paper.
