Welcome to the Modern Farmhouse on Walton – a newly renovated 4-bedroom, 2-bath home offering 2,000+ sq ft of stylish comfort in Alexandria Bay. If you’re traveling with a large family or a group of friends, this is the perfect home base: it’s huge, modern, and designed for togetherness. Tucked on a quiet street only a 10-minute walk from downtown’s shops, restaurants, and riverfront, our farmhouse gives you both space and convenience. Inside Space – Open, Airy & Comfortable: Step into a bright open-concept living area with vaulted ceilings and lots of natural light. There’s ample seating on the comfy sofas (all new in 2023) where your group can lounge and stream movies on the flat-screen smart TV. The adjacent dining area has a large farmhouse table where you can share meals as a group of 8-10. Our fully equipped kitchen is a chef’s delight – all-new stainless appliances, a coffee maker + nespresso, and cabinets stocked with cookware, bakeware, and spices. Whether you’re cooking a big breakfast or shaking up evening cocktails, you’ll have everything you need. We even include a starter supply of coffee and pantry basics. Off the living room, there’s a bonus game room/den featuring a game table, board games, and kids’ toys – a great hangout spot on a rainy day or a dedicated workspace for remote workers who need a quieter corner (free high-speed Wi-Fi reaches throughout the house). Bedrooms & Baths – Room for Everyone: With 4 bedrooms, everyone can sleep comfortably. Each bedroom is uniquely decorated and comes with plush bedding and room-darkening curtains for a good night’s rest. Three bedrooms feature queen beds (no fighting over who gets a real bed!), and the fourth bedroom is a fun bunk room – it has a twin-over-full bunk plus full futons, ideal for the kids or additional guests. (In total, the house can sleep up to 12 when utilizing the futons – perfect for multi-family groups.) Both bathrooms have been fully renovated with modern fixtures; one offers a tub/shower combo (great for bathing little ones) and the other a step-in shower. We provide plenty of fresh towels, a starter set of toiletries, and a hairdryer in each bath for your convenience. Outdoor Oasis – Large Yard & Patio: One of the highlights of this home is the huge fenced yard– a rarity this close to downtown! Step out the back door to find a patio with outdoor dining furniture and a BBQ grill ready for summer cookouts. Sip your morning coffee on the patio’s bistro set, or enjoy an evening cocktail while the kids play tag in the yard. There’s also a fire pit with seating – roast marshmallows under the stars and share stories after a day of adventure. The yard is private , giving you a peaceful place to unwind. Location & Nearby Experiences: Although you might feel tucked away, you’re actually walking distance to Alexandria Bay’s main attractions. Stroll 5 minutes and find yourself at James Street with its quaint boutiques, ice cream stands, and taverns. The famous Boldt Castle boat tours depart nearby – you can walk to the dock or drive 2 minutes. Scenic View Park (with a playground and small beach area) is also a short walk away, so you can easily have a picnic by the river. Our guidebook at the house points out our favorite local restaurants (don’t miss the fish fry!) and day trip ideas – from winery tours to exploring neighboring Thousand Island Park. Whether you spend your days boating, fishing, touring castles, or even working remotely from the porch, you’ll love coming back to the Modern Farmhouse to relax. *Group-Friendly Amenities: We’ve tried to think of everything to make large group stays comfortable. You’ll have parking for 3-4 vehicles in the driveway. Laundry is easy with a washer/dryer on-site (pack light!). The house is equipped with AC and heating for year-round comfort. For families, we provide a pack ’n play, high chair, and children’s dinnerware. Fast Wi-Fi and multiple smart TVs mean no fights over what to watch. Plus, entry makes check-in a breeze for everyone in your group. (Please note: for the comfort of all our guests, this home is smoke-free and pet-free.) This Modern Farmhouse combines historic charm (spacious rooms, original hardwood floors) with modern updates and thoughtful touches from hosts who truly care. Farmhouse stay

We really enjoyed our stay. This property is located just a short walk away from the shops and boat tour docks. The farmhouse is spacious and we had fun playing games and visiting in the open floor plan with our family.

Girl’s weekend trip

Booked the property for a girls weekend trip. Inside was just as pictured, spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable & kitchen had all the essentials. Outside could use some curb appeal but renovations inside made it a nice pick for our stay.

Great family friendly place

Property was clean and spacious. Downstairs area had a lot of space for the kids to stretch out and play games. The host also provided all basic toiletries if you forgot anything. The property was within walking distance to the downtown area for shopping and restaurants. Each bedroom also has its own window air conditioner to keep the rooms comfortable.

Great location, nice size for large group.

Easy walk to downtown Alex Bay with a great little market just down the street for breakfast sandwiches, hoagies, ice, and all the food items you may need. Interior decor is nice with enough bedrooms for a bigger group. Never ran out of hot water!

Excellent location; cute touches inside

This home is very convenient to boat launches and the downtown shopping/restaurant area. The outside is yet to be renovated, but the inside is newly redone and immaculate. There are so many personal touches and conveniences. I am a clean freak and felt very comfortable here. Thank you, Mariel and Anthony.

What a place!!!

We spent a long weekend here with family and friends. This was our 1st trip to A-Bay and couldn’t have been more pleased about our stay. The location was perfect and walking distance to downtown with plenty of activities. The house was very roomy, so the 9 of us weren’t all over each other. The kitchen could use a few items such as larger mixing bowls, a mixer, and a slow cooker. I understand most families eat out while we’re on vacation and we could be in the minority. The house came with plenty of Tupperware for leftovers. One thing that amazed me was the sharpness of the knives. Most vacation rentals don’t have sharp knives and this did, so I was happy cooking. The hosts were 5/5 for any questions I asked. We would rent this again and again! AMAZING 1st time in A-Bay!!
