This quiet community of homes is a perfect get away to relax and watch the sun set on Lake Congamond. Both full baths are on the 2nd floor, half bath on the first floor. One bedroom and the office are on the first floor. Primary and bunk room are on the 2nd floor. Large deck in the back yard to enjoy the lake views. Sandy beach and dock to enjoy. Kayaks are available-must wear life vests.

Family lakeside retreat

We had a wonderful stay at this property! Our trip was mainly intended to spend time with family close by and this was a fantastic location with a beautiful back deck for gathering and relaxing with our extended family. The listing did not mention a trundle bed with the bunks and a pull out coach as well. The pullout was broken at the time of our stay but the property manager made us aware of this prior to our arrival which gave us time to make adjustments. Several family members asked us about the rental information for future reference because they enjoyed the location so much. Would definitely stay here again for a future visit.

Amazing Lake Retreat

A quiet respite which is clean and we'll appointed. Spacious kitchen has everything you need. Large double height living room opens to a small sunroom and huge outdoor deck. Huge back lawn and good size beach and boat dock. Would book again and earliest opportunity. 😊

Hidden Gem!

My family and I have nothing but amazing things to say about our stay at the "Quiet Sunset Lakehouse"! From the cleanliness of the house to the beauty of the lake, we were so happy with our stay and had a great family getaway because of it! Angela was so easy to work with, she was very responsive and went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect experience. The house itself was spotless and the layout made it perfect for our family to have a relaxing time away. The big plus of this property is that it not only has private lake access (was a bit cold to swim when we stayed), but there was also a large deck and yard in the back of the house that our kids couldn't get enough of. There was even a little private beach that was perfect for the kids to play and also for our evening fires. We HIGHLY recommend this residence and we will be coming back again!

Quiet Sunset Lakehouse

The title of this property doesn’t miss the mark. This lake house provided beautiful views of the lake from every angle. The sunsets can be viewed in big comfy chairs from the deck or from the spacious indoor porch. The house is clean and updated with spacious rooms. The kitchen is filled with essentials and the appliances are state of the art. There are bike trails and fun restaurants nearby. What a delightful getaway. We’ll be back!

A perfect getaway!

We had such a relaxing getaway! This house is right on the water, it was so peaceful and the view was awesome. We enjoyed drinks and dinner on the deck each night, and the yard was perfect for our daughter. The house was clean and had all the necessities. The host was very responsive and friendly, we will be back again!!

Love this house! Great hosts!

We had a great time! We rented this house a couple of years ago and loved it so much that we rented it again. This house has everything you need for a long weekend. Very clean, great space, great location. Some new furniture since last time so that was a nice surprise. We just hung out and had a great time. Nice neighbors. Quiet street. No problems. I highly recommend this Vrbo.

Family vacation

Wonderful! We woke up each morning to a beautiful view. Enjoyed coffee and meals, played cards, napped on the large deck. Made sand castles, swam, fished, kayaked, and bon fires on the beach. The house is very clean and spacious. All around wonderful place to stay!

family time in at the lake

lovely get away long weekend visiting with family. we loved the easy access to the lake for kayaking, a day golfing and some short hikes in the area. sadly the local cafe has gone out of business - we would have loved to have a local place to walk to for coffee in the morning. we had an amazing meal prepared by a personal chef to cap off the last evening of a fun weekend.

Another great stay!

We stayed here last Labor Day and this Labor day and had a great time relaxing by the lake. The owner is very responsive to emails or texts and the house was exactly as promised!

Perfect Summer Getaway

This lakehouse is right on the water. You can jump right into the water from the dock or wade in from the beach. The kids enjoyed playing all day in the lake. At night, we lit a fire in the firepit and had s'mores. There is also a great deck and an enclosed porch if you need to hide from the bugs. Angela was very responsive with all of our questions.

Loved it!

The house was immaculate! From someone who has left properties before for not being clean, it’s important to us as we have young kids I don’t want crawling around in a dirty home. Location was perfect, we are from the area so no surprises here. We hosted day guests every day (family from the area), lots of kids, and everyone enjoyed it, even with crummy weather for MDW. We hope to go back!

Fantastic lakefront house - don’t pass this up!

If you’re looking for a relaxing weekend on a beautiful lake, this is the house to rent. We had an awesome Labor Day weekend at Angela’s house. For starters, this border area of CT/MA surprised us with its beauty. There are lovely farms nearby and many hiking trails; it’s really a beautiful area. As for the house, you can’t beat this place with its immaculate interior living space and perfect lakefront location. We were two small families and the layout is very conducive to accommodating two families with kids. But the thing that sets this property apart is the outdoor space. The deck is huge with incredibly comfortable chairs and unobstructed views of the lake. Everyone had a blast in the lake (we brought our own paddle boards to use and also used the kayaks on the property). Angela was super-responsive throughout the booking process. We would absolutely rent this property again and have already recommended it to others.

Nice place - bed bugs in bedroom on first floor

The place was nice. Bed bugs in bedroom on first floor - had to clean and spray. My son got bites on feet and legs...took pics. Property manger did not give us rental agreement until 2 days before we were coming. Then found out that we could not have any overnight guests - even though the place sleeps 8 - very disappointed. Would not make up all beds as requested - only made four and told us we would need to bring additional linens or switch bedsheets ourselves!!! Very STRESSFUL dealing.

Summer vacay

We had a much needed break and change of scenery after the Spring of 2020 lockdown. Angela was a great hostess. The house was immaculate and the view was fantastic. I could have sat on the deck lounge chair 24/7. It was perfect for our family of four. Highly recommended.

Excellent break

We loved our stay at this lovely property. The setting is gorgeous—right on the lake with a sandy beach, fire pit and grassy lawn. The deck has amazingly comfortable lounge chairs with soft cushions. I could sit there and read all day looking out at the peaceful lake. The paddle boat and kayaks were a nice bonus. The house is comfortable and well appointed. The table in the kitchen fits 6 comfortably and even 8 if necessary. Angela was welcoming and very responsive to our questions. Our only minor complaints were that the AC in the bunk bed room didn't work very well and there wasn't any pantry space in the kitchen. Small details in the big picture. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Peaceful Retreat

My family and I booked a 4-night stay at Angela and Tom's place to celebrate our son's virtual high school graduation. It exceeded our expectations! The property is beautiful! The kayaks were fun, the deck was nice to have a cup of coffee or read a book. The firepit on the beach was a nice touch. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us, and the pull-out couch was surprisingly comfortable! It was an easy transaction, check-in and check-out process. The neighbors are also very friendly! The kitchen has EVERYTHING you could possibly need! The bathrooms were stocked with soap and toilet paper. Linens and hand/bath towels are provided. The wireless internet worked perfectly, which was a good thing since two of us had to connect for work. Working from the deck with a view of the lake was definitely NOT horrible! The house is a 5 minute drive to the Big Y supermarket, Rite-Aid, McDonald's and Dunkin Donuts. If you are looking for a fun place nearby, check out Matterhorn mini golf about 15-20 minutes away in Canton, CT! Best mini golf we've ever seen, and the ice cream place next door to mini golf was delicious. We also tried Moolicious Ice Cream and Little Georges restaurant, also both delicious! Also, if you have time, visit the New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks, CT. Bonus...if you are a veteran, like my husband, you get free admission! Everyone is so friendly in the area! I would highly recommend this property!

Great Vacation!

I stayed at this lakehouse with a few friends for the long weekend. The location is fantastic - it's a 5 minute drive from a large grocery store and a 3 minute drive from both a good pizza place and a bbq place. The house was clean and had plenty of rooms. There were also a number of kayaks, a paddleboat and a paddleboard. The paddleboat was great for fishing. We saw some cool wildlife, including a few bald eagles, herons, turtles and frogs. We also caught a large number of bass in the lake. Great spot to get away!

Beautiful house. Beautiful setting. House has everything you’d ever need.

We rented it for a girls’ weekend. It was perfect. Easy location for most of us. We were lazy all weekend. Lots of great lazy furniture, Comfortable beds, great bathrooms, well equipped kitchen, and perfect sunset views. We enjoyed both fire-pits. I would rent it again..

Perfect!

Perfect location for those looking to just relax right on the water on the spacious deck or beach. Great sunsets as well! Also great for the active family since this lake is where most water sports take place. Inside you will have everything you need so no need to go crazy packing. Honestly can not think of how this home could be any more perfect. Definitely will be back next year!
