Good place!

Nice location for Flatlanders wanting to hear the ocean. There is no beach access, but by driving a bit towards Galveston there is plenty of beach.

Thank you for giving us a 5-star review! We really appreciate it! You can actually access the beach in front of the house. There are steps built a little way that you can walk to and get onto the beach. You can walk towards the right, and you will see stairs by the port-a-potty. There’s sand right in front of the house during low tide, but most of it is covered during high tide. But even at high tide, if you take the stairway to the left about 4 houses down, there’s plenty of sand. :)

Great place

The rental is very well located. Pedestrian beach is a short walk. Has all we needed. If you stay, bring drinking/cooking water. They have a filtration system but it's very chlorine forward. (Surfside water is trash and bring DEET!!! The area has a lot of standing water, and the skeeters will carry you away) We were prepared on both counts as we come to Surfside often.

Thank you for your feedback Terry! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the location and found the rental well-equipped for your stay. Great tips about bringing water and deet – Surfside can indeed have its quirks! We hope to welcome you back next time you're in the area. :)

June of 2025 vacation

The stay was great we were only able to book one night just cause it was completely book by others. But we would return for sure.-hospitable owner-clean house-great viewThe only down side was the walk to the beach and the difficulty of trying to unload things like chairs and canopy ect. But thats not the owners fault. Tide was constantly high and no sand in front of the property.Next time we will rent a golf cart to make it smoother. All in all, we will stay again.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review Heather! We're glad to hear you enjoyed your stay, even if it was just for one night. The high tide can definitely make beach access a bit trickier, but we love your idea of renting a golf cart next time, it’s a great way to make things easier. We’d love to welcome you back for a longer stay in the future! :)

Wonderful Sounds of the Gulf

The location of this VRBO is great! Even inside with all of the windows closed, you could clearly hear the Gulf. The Gulf washed up some really nice shells across the road. The place was decorated nice and beachy. There was sunshine on the front porch. The sunrises over the Gulf were beautiful. Communication with the property manager was quick and easy. We were very comfortable. The bathrooms needed renovations (which they had started). The vents and fans needed cleaning. You could clearly hear the renters on the other side of the door/wall (which we did not mind). We had a very nice stay.
