Beautiful Lakefront Home on Phillips Lake

Our lakefront home is ready to rent starting this July 2023. We built another year-round property just a short walk down the road that we are in the process of moving into. We as hosts will be happy to help in any way to make your vacation or extended stay memorable with being so close and assessable. Stunning views of the lake from every room are waiting to be enjoyed. Bring your own boat as there is a public boat launch across the lake and your private dock is just feet away from your front door. Enjoy a fire in the waterside firepit, we'll even supply the firewood! And cook on the grill by the water, yes we will have the propane tank ready! Three kayaks await your pleasure along with a private sandy beach for kids to enjoy! Maine's breathtaking coast is just 20 miles away, a short drive to Bar Harbor, explore Maine's premier Acadia national park then return to your private quiet home on the lake. No need to leave though everything you'll want is right here and if you do forget something you will be surprised at just how close to shopping and grocery stores you are. Just 10 minutes out of lake road is a local market and gas station, then another 10 minutes and you are in the heart of Bangor Brewer with lots of restaurants and shopping. And just a few minutes away, in fact, you can look down the lake, and up on the hill is the Lucerne Inn offering wonderful full meals and a seasonal food truck with outside deck seating. We as locals enjoy meals there often, then a 5-minute drive home. Fully automated backup generator, never worry about power outages any time of the year.

The house was very nice and quiet the location is about a hour from the national park but the drive wasn't too bad. It was great to have a washer and dryer. We found it very comfortable.

We had a wonderful month here. The home was very comfortable and was well stocked with everything we needed. The location was very accessible to the coast and many different day trip locations. The owners live close by and checked in through our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. Beautiful spot on Phillips Lake.

Beautiful cabin with all the extras!!

The cabin was extremely clean, comfy beds and beautifully appointed. Easy communication and the owner thought of everything to make our stay just perfect. The view of the lake is amazing!! We look forward to staying again.

Beautiful house and beautiful lake!

Doesn't get better than this! House was great: good layout, fully stocked, and clean. Location was even better: literally steps from a beautiful Maine lake and not far from Acadia National Park. All this and dog friendly!

Amazing stay at Phillips Lake!!!

The home is beautiful, very spacious and exceptionally clean! We rented the boat and the process was very easy. We also used the kayaks numerous times too! The communication with Jeff and Wendy was great all week and made our stay relaxing and very enjoyable! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Stay at Wendyā€™s Lakehouse

We stayed at Wendyā€™s Lakehouse last minute after another home we booked had to cancel our reservation as they overbooked. Well it worked out well for us because we booked Wendyā€™s home and it was perfect for us. There were 4 of us all adults and our 11 pound Shorkie. We had a great time, Wendy is a terrific host, she thought of everything!

Perfection

Wendy and Jeff were the best of hosts. Wendy called us to help us with directions that led us right to the house. Beautiful setting and lake views from every room. Decor was excellent and the outdoor amenities include 3 kayaks and flotation mattresses to enjoy being out on the water. They even had all the ingredients for sā€™mores to welcome us. Above and beyond most rentals!

Peaceful , beautiful get away!

The house was exactly as pictured, except the view was even more beautiful in person! Quiet, peaceful lake with warm, clear water was the perfect spot for kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. Wendy thought of everything, you really don't have to bring anything for the house. Even soap, cleaning products, tp, paper towels, wraps, everything was there. The house was very clean, beds/ pillows were comfortable, and Wendy was highly responsive. Neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. We even had a pair of loons that would hang out in front of the house. I really hope to return some day in the near future. It was my first time to the area and a perfect home base for our adventures in Bar Harbor and Acadia...definitely visit if you book this house! So incredibly beautiful!!! I fell in love with Maine! thanks for having us!!!

Lakefront Sanctuay

The lake house was very luxurious with everything you could possibly need. It has a gourmet kitchen, kayaks and even wood for the fire pit. The beds are very comfortable and the furniture is comfortable. itā€™s light and airy. Itā€™s beautifully decorated. The location is perfect, under 10 minutes to a grocery store and fine dining. Itā€™s close to Acadia national Park. The lake is perfect for fishing and swimming and activities like paddle boarding. Jeff and Wendy were lovely and very helpful.

Lakefront Serenity

Beautiful home. The house was spotless and the layout of bedrooms & bathrooms was perfect for our family. Gorgeous kitchen and dining area on second floor. All levels have a spectacular view of the lake. The patio and dock offer a breath taking view of the lake at sunrise which is perfect to see while enjoying the first morning cup of coffee/tea. The property is about a 45 min easy ride to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Next time we will stay longer, we did not get a chance to enjoy the kayaks and fire pit. Beautiful home & accommodating hosts.

Beautiful and Quiet Retreat

The house was immaculate and very user friendly with BRā€™s on all three floors. Spacious kitchen and dining area on second floor with an additional kitchen area on the walk out ground floor. The lake is captivating and picturesque in the morning with a stunning sunrise view worth the trip alone. We took the kayaks out for a morning trip around the lake and enjoyed the views. We spent most of our time in Acadia and Bar Harbor but could have easily stayed put and enjoyed the house and the amenities and considered it a great vacation. Great property, one of the best we have stayed at. Thanks!

Lovely home in a gorgeous location

This is a wonderful house and we enjoyed our stay very much. As many people have noted, the view of the lake from almost every window is a joy. There was always something to see (or to hear, like the cry of loons at night). The house is very spacious and well laid out; we felt right at home and were comfortable throughout our visit. The kitchen is well supplied and organized and is easy to work in. The beds are excellent and there was plenty of lighting for reading or other activities in the evening. It took us a couple of days you get used to the narrow, winding road from route 1A to the house, but once we were accustomed to it it was no problem. It's easy to get to lots of great places: Blue Hill, Ellsworth, Acadia and even the Schoodic peninsula. Overall, we're glad we discovered this terrific house and plan to return.

Beautiful view

We stayed here with our 2 daughters age 5 and 7. The views from the main floor are stunning! The girls loved playing in the little beachy area and swimming in the lake. We took the kayaks out for a paddle, roasted marshmallows in the fire pit right next to the lake and loved listening to the loons while we spotted fireflies. Wendy and Jeff were wonderful hosts and very responsive. Just a heads up for families-one bedroom in on the top floor and the other is in the walk out basement. We ended up giving the kids the upstairs master and we took the basement room so we could be on the patio at night and do they werenā€™t tempted to go out to the lake early without us knowing. We had a great time and hope we can come back in the future.

Amazing home with an amazing view

The property provides an amazing view of a beautiful lake. It's the first thing you notice when you walk in the door. Very stunning. Being October we were fortunate to enjoy the fall colors that surrounded the home nestled back in a wooded area. The home is well appointed with everything you need. Generally there are many items missing that I need for a week's stay so I pack them myself. I over packed for this trip. The owners live just down the road and are happy to respond to your needs should anything arise. The area offers many opportunities for adventures and we took advantage. I highly recommend booking a stay here. You will have a wonderful vacation.

Breathtaking Views

This trip was a surprise birthday trip for my Mom who asked for a trip with cooler weather to escape the summer TX heat. She had never visited ME, so this was a perfect fall destination. Not only did the proximity to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor make this home ideal for our trip - it was the lake front view that sealed the deal for us when selecting this beautiful home. I agree with previous posts that say the pictures do not do this hime justice. You wonā€™t be disappointed when you arrive. Our first words when entering the home and seeing the view from every room was a resounding ā€œWOWā€ - even from my 12 yr old! The home was clean and well appointed. Wendy and Jeff are super responsive and not dismissive of any question asked. They genuinely care about your overall experience. On our last night, we especially loved how easy it was to enjoy the fire pit with all the necessary items, including chocolate, marshmallows and marshmallow sticks - the perfect way to conclude our 4 night stay. Thank you again Wendy & Jeff for sharing your beautiful home and raising the bar for all other VRBO hosts šŸ™‚.

Wendy works at a local party event rental store in Ellsworth, just 15 minutes from the lake and Jeff is a business owner in Brewer, just 20 minutes away. We both are active and love to explore the local hiking trails, ski trips, and warm trips to the south. You will see us going by on our party boat or seadoos on warm sunny days.

This property speaks for itself. You will certainly want to return and make memories. On so many lakes the lakefront is very populated. The property is not that case. Homes are spread out nicely with plenty of privacy. You will drive on a fully paved road right to the private driveway with ample parking. You will see couples and families walking the lakeside road and enjoying the view and Maine weather daily. A walk along the road will certainly be worthwhile! And your hosts Wendy & Jeff will often be seen doing the same.

Ask us about renting our 18' party boat. We can bring it right up to your dock and a quick education of the lake and you are off enjoying a slow ride on a beautiful lake.
