We encountered that there wasn’t much organization all around and the property really needs some TLC. One another don’t, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything that we needed to cook a few meals and there were some seasonings available.The couches were stained, and the beds are really hard.

Neighborhood was very quiet, Walmart was 6 minutes away, gym was 5 minutes away, house was very clean, and it felt like a "home", 10 out of 10 experience I would definitely rent there again next year if there's another bike meet in Fort Worth!

We had high hopes about this place based on the reviews and photos on the listing. But something has definitely changed in the past few months, and the place is now in terrible disrepair and the owners went MIA.Location is good because you can get to downtown Fort Worth in 25 minutes. The photos make it look light and cheery with a lovely front porch and back patio setting, but, in reality, both are filthy, the lawn is out of control, and the rattan furniture is literally shredded. Security camera inside the bedroom! Evidence of rodent in the kitchen. Living room furniture disgustingly filthy. NO security system even though they told us there was one. Owner acted very blasé about this.FIVE windows were unlocked when we arrived. Photos made it look lovely. In reality, it's dark, dreary, and dirty. Long hair in the sheets. No nightstands by the bed. Welcome guide said there was a feature where pictures in hallway had lights behind them for nightlights. No such thing. We looked into moving, but weren't sure if we could get a refund, and the time, hassle, and cost of relocating were going to eat into our vacation. Host was responsive when we called the first time but attempts after that were met with silence.

Overall our stay was good. The property was in a quiet location and our hosts were hospitable and available for any questions as needed. However, we did have a couple of concerns - our last night there we discovered an interior camera facing outside in the window of the bedroom where we were staying. While we understand the need to monitor the outside of the property for security reasons, we had some concerns about privacy, especially because many of these cameras feature 2-way audio recording. The other suggestion/concern we had is that the mattresses were kind of hard and uncomfortable. There were plenty of pillows and blankets provided, however, which did help, but the mattresses were hard on our backs. We did enjoy this area in Azle and appreciated the close proximity to the lake. I would just suggest to move the window camera outdoors and perhaps replace the mattresses.

Great amenities

Our favorite was the HUGE TV for movies. Everything was comfortable and a great location for family gathering over the weekend.

Great value at Caster's Cottage!

My son and I loved Caster's Cottage! The rental came as advertised and was just a five-minute drive to the highlight of our trip, Twin Points Beach! The cottage was clean, and when we needed to speak with the owners with a question about getting into the property, they picked up immediately. We would love to rent this cottage again!

Perfect Location

Jr. Cattlemen’s Texas Road Trip

We had a wonderful time at this rental house. It was clean, comfortable, and well-located. The property manager was fantastic, and we felt like we got excellent value for our money. We would highly recommend this house to families or anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. We would absolutely stay here again! "

Quiet Cozy Cottage

Note if you bring pets the yard is not fenced in. We kept ours on leashes. They loved exploring though in the large yard. It was perfect.The cottage is close to lake. Very cozy quiet and clean your stay will be. Host easy to communicate with.

Great Stay!

The cottage was very quaint and spacious!! LOVE the fishing decor ... the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the Property Manager made sure that there was a delivery waiting for us upon arrival of charcoal and utensils so we could bbq and enjoy s'mores on the deck in the back yard. They even included some cookies as a small welcome gift! Would consider staying again!

Family fun at Caster’s Cottage

Visiting family and this was the perfect home for our stay. The home is in an older quiet neighborhood with beautiful trees. The home is well stocked, very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed local parks, shopping and restaurants. The yard was fun for our grandson to play. Outside sitting area quiet lovely setting for adults. I highly recommend the cabin. Thank you for sharing your home.

We love spending time with our dog, Webster and we are both avid Texas Rangers fans. Even though we both have full-time day jobs, we are available to answer any questions you may have during your stay. We want to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
