The space
The Lincoln is a historic second story apartment that features a cozy living space as well as 2 private bedrooms and 1 full bath above a bustling restaurant in downtown Valpo. In-unit washer and dryer add to the convenience of your stay. The building itself was built in 1880 and has gone through numerous updates throughout the last 140+ years. Guests will be provided with a binder filled with other local hotspots and experiences. If you have any questions or want suggestions on places to go or things to do, please don't hesitate to ask! This is a smoke-free and pet-free unit.

Guest access
Parking is free but first-come/first-served around downtown. However, guests will be provided a parking pass upon check in allowing 1 vehicle to be parked downtown in any of the 6 designated parking lots (2 of which are only 600’ from the unit). To access this unit, guests will use a shared exterior entrance off Lincolnway. Once inside the building, there will be a keyless entry code to the unit with the code provided the morning of your scheduled arrival. The entire apartment is all yours!

SAFETY NOTES:
• This home is NOT baby-proofed.
• Children must be accompanied by adults at all times, and guests are responsible for the safety of their children.
• The stairs are steep (the building was built in 1880!). Guests must climb a full flight of stairs to get into the unit
• Those who are not able bodied will NOT be able to easily navigate the unit; the age of the apartment does not render it handicap equipped.

ADDITIONAL INFO:

• A maximum of 6 total guests per reservation. Extra guests are not allowed.
• We value our relationship with our neighbors and fellow tenants, so events/gathering/parties are not to be held by guests.
• In order to keep the unit in excellent condition for future guests, we are firm on these rules. We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

CHECK-IN INFO:
• Guests who book will receive detailed check-in instructions on the morning of their scheduled arrival. All of this will be communicated through the messenger.
• A welcome bag and manual with our favorite local attractions will be provided. (please let me know if you’d like this in advance. We have tons of recommendations and love to support the best local businesses).
• Please note that Valparaiso is on Central Standard Time (CST), the same as Chicago. Check-in is after 3PM; check-out is at 10AM (unless other arrangements have been made with us).
• Our cancellation policy is moderate.
