A private, spacious getaway for two. Hear the ocean from the backyard, off street parking, bright and comfortable room. Close to the beach, but not in all the hustle and bustle, but in a quiet neighborhood. A neighborhood great for walking or riding the available bicycles. This space is over our garage and completely private. You’ll park in driveway, enter through the door right in front of where you park and you’ll go straight up the stairs.
We want our guests to feel right at home as soon as you arrive and enjoy the privacy. One thing we do ask, only registered guests in the room, we understand if a friend or family member is picking you up or wants to see our space, that's fine. You may run into us and you may not, either way we want you to enjoy and relax. Rob and I are always available by phone or text if you have any issues or questions.
No need to pack beach towels, chairs, or a cooler we have them here for you.

Perfect Little Getaway Spot for 2

This was the perfect place to stay for our weekend at the beach. Although the space is small, it had more than enough room to be comfortable. All of the small touches from the owner were appreciated including snacks and beverages. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice private getaway

It was a beautiful, private and quiet getaway. Ocean Isle Beach is awesome!! The owners were so friendly and helpful. Beautiful backyard and garden. I would just have extra towels and washcloths for our stay but besides that we really enjoyed ourselves. We highly recommend.

Perfect little hideaway!

I cannot say enough positive things about Rob and Patti's place. I have never stayed anywhere so clean and well appointed. We even had small bottles of wine! I will definitely be staying here on my future trips to the coast!!

Sweet place

This place is truly a sweet hideaway. An at home feel for when you need to rest. Patti was so accommodating when we needed something. Highly recommend for 1or 2 people.

Amazing stay

This was my first time staying at the property. It was extremely clean, quiet, and cozy! The room itself had a great beach feel to it. The Johnstons made several small but very nice personal touches! I will let you find them yourselves! The room was very clean and comfortable! The hosts were very nice people and extremely welcoming. The outdoor patio with fire was gorgeous and a great place to have some drinks and a fire at night! You wont regret booking this location!

Cutest place ever!!!

10/10!!! We absolutely loved this place! Rob and Patti were so very kind to us, they even placed small gestures around the place just in case we forgot something! If you are looking for a small place just to get away to the beach that is also reasonably priced, this is the place to go! Everything was so clean, I saw NOTHING that was dirty. Just to add, the neighborhood was very nice and welcoming. I definitely will be back for our next vacation!! 😊

Home away from home

It was cozy. Spacious, clean, nice. Presented very well. Wonderful decorations and the whole bedroom set up was wonderful. There are quite some stairs. But I could get up them good after the first time or 4(i personally have difficulties with stairs). But overall this was a really nice place to stay :) Miss Patti is great and will text ya right back.

Moving to the area

We spent three nights at this property. It had everything we needed (and more!). Because we were busy with closing on a house, we really didn't have time to enjoy the amenities, but the location was great for our needs and there were bikes, beach chairs, beach towels and even sunscreen provided for guests. The outside area with fire pit looked inviting. There was coffee and creamer, bottled water, small bottles of wine and a couple cans of soda and beer in the fridge. The stairs up to the room were a little treacherous as they curved at the top...but no big deal if you are a little cautious (: We will keep this location in mind for any overflow guests we have in the future after we move.

very comfortable private space near the beach

Patti and Rob were lovely hosts. They created a very welcoming space and were helpful with any questions I had. Despite nearly constant rain during my short beach stay, I enjoyed a cozy spot to read, watch some movies, and relax. I was able to enjoy their garden space in the back and Rob helped set up the grill for dinner one night. Another perk were the bikes and other beach gear to borrow. I went for a short ride nearby - neighborhood is near the waterway but view is mostly obstructed by houses. The beach is a short 5 min drive across the bridge. I do recommend eating at the Sugar Shack Jamaican Restaurant - delicious ribs, jerk meats, and key lime pie! The only drawback, which wasn't much of an issue for my stay is lack of a kitchenette sink to wash dishes. I didn't use too many dishes and managed with the bathroom sink as I was told to use. But consider bringing paper plates, bowls, etc for convenience. I would highly recommend this spot for 1-2 people wanting to be close to the water but okay with needing a car to get to the beach. I hope to be back when the sun is out!
