Great place

This is a great place to stay. Very large and roomy. Comfortable beds. There is great communication with the host. This is the second time we have stayed here and would not hesitate to do so again.

Great location, Great Accommodation

This place is perfect for a bigger group. Every room is perfectly situated within this “house.” We went with a group of 7 golfers and it worked out just the way we hoped. Don’t let the Jeffersonville address fool you. We were less than 10 minutes from everything in downtown Louisville. Also, Jeffersonville has some nice restaurants that you will enjoy. We will be back!

Repeat rental.

Fantastic rental with easy access to Louisville. Large enough to easily accommodate our group with amenities that are not found in most rentals. Availability of parking and the number of bathrooms in the rental make it perfect for our diverse group that gets together. Easy access to the staff and clear communication makes it a pleasure coming back year after year.

Overall a great stay. Location was great. Was in more of a business park, but was great for being in a quiet area. Took us about 20 minutes at the most for all of our outings including Kentucky Kingdom. It was a bit hot in the house when we arrived, especially because we came the weekend there was a heat advisory so it took a while to get the house cooled off. Host was very helpful and communicative before, during, and after our stay. We were very comfortable and had all of what we needed at the house including what we needed to cook and eat with. The kitchen is such a nice size which was great for multiple cooking at the same time.There were a few reasons why this isn't a five star stay. There was hair in a few of the showers and towels. Found this after cleaning before we used them just because that's what we do when we travel. It wasn't alot, but just what we found. Lastly, there were spiders in every room and some bathrooms. We killed spiders everyday we were there. They weren't on furniture or in beds, but on the walls and in corners. Almost like the place hadn't been used in a while. If that's the case someone should dust and inspect for them before guests arrive. Otherwise this was an amazing place to stay and would come back if we ever travel to Louisville again

Stayed here for my 50th birthday bash. Played a nice round of golf nearby, drove to the Cincinatti open, and an easy drive to downtown Louisville for some bourbon trail tours. House was perfect to wind down and offered lots of room for sleeping arrangements.

Great location and great place to stay. Very quiet. Wifi is a little weak and slows the tv down. But otherwise it is a great place.

Great Experience

Our family gathered for our son's wedding at a nearby venue. Everything was new, a bedroom for everyone, plenty of bathrooms and great gathering space. Great kitchen with plenty of seating and the private outdoor patio was nice. Parks nearby and easy access to Louisville downtown area. This is a great property for a large family! We thoroughly enjoyed our time!

Great for Eight!

We came with a group of 8 guys for a golf weekend and the place was perfect! We all had our own bed and everyone loved having so many bathrooms. Everyone couldn’t stop talking about how perfect the place was for us. We enjoyed a game of bags in the private back yard. The open kitchen and living area was perfect for our group to have a few drinks and huddle around the TV for a playoff game or two. The owners were responsive and great. Thank you for having us!

Lovely, comfortable home.

This is group of 12 women (college friends) who gather yearly for a reunion. This home was perfect for this years gathering. Plenty of room, (six bathrooms!) Very clean. Great gathering spaces. Great safe parking and easy to get anywhere in Louisville, Jeffersonville, Clarksville, or New Albany. Very quiet neighborhood. Easy checkin/checkout. I would recommend this property for a group for sure!

Bourbon Trail Stay

Large house that was clean and modern. One of the AC units on main floor broke the first night and was not fixed until after we left. That was a huge invonvenience as it made the temperature in the house very cold in some areas and super hot in others. The beds are a bit hard but otherwise it was a nice place to stay.

Nice place but will not get entire deposit back.

Apparently a kid carved Fortnite on wall. Not deep at all!!! Charged half deposit for a 5 min fix. Pillow case dirty and neighborhood definitely not the safest. Place was nice and communication was good.

This review is nonsense. The home is extremely safe and in a great location. A member of this group carved the word “Fortnite” into our walls and we politely informed the guest that we would need to skim coat, sand, and repaint the area. We had to hire a handyman to do this and buy the supplies. We withheld $150 from the security deposit to cover these expenses. This apparently made the guest upset. Up until this, our guests were having an excellent time. This review is retaliatory and a misrepresentation of our home.

Very good overall, ideal for its purpose

Nicely remodeled, comfortable, practical place - with multiple bathrooms, some en suite, and a washer/dryer, it's especially good for larger groups and longer stays. Clear documentation, very accommodating and responsive hosts/management, no onerous unreasonable demands for checkout/cleanup. The immediate neighborhood is sort of unusual - the building is in a complex of apparently unrelated medical facilities - can make for a laugh with Uber dropoffs, and a question or two from food delivery drivers. (The small parking lot left over from whatever this building was before is very practical for multiple or large vehicles.) But walkable to a Starbucks, Walgreens, and a few other useful spots. And though it's across the river in Indiana, you can think of it as pretty much Louisville - very easy and quick in and out of Louisville and environs. Positive experience at a place where the owners/hosts/management are clearly trying to make it so. Good stuff.

Fantastic Family Fun!

We had a fabulous stay at the Oak Barrel Lodge! Our group was in town for an event and had three generations staying together. There were 15 of us in total. The house was easy to find using GPS. It is very private and had its own parking lot which perfectly fit our 5 cars. The exterior is beautiful and well maintained. One note-if coming from Louisville, you may want to prepay for the toll road or program your GPS to avoid toll roads if you don’t want the added expense. It is not expensive but the payment of tolls is a little different than what we have at home. The home’s main area has an open concept kitchen, dining and living room. This worked really well for games and social activities for the family. The decor is gorgeous and well fitting with the name of the home. We loved the oak barrel feature wall. The back patio has ample seating for outside dining and games to play in down time. We thoroughly enjoyed playing corn hole and connect four while others sat at the table chatting away. The kitchen and dining area is fabulous! There is plenty of room for everyone to sit and eat. There was plenty of storage for us to put enough food for our group for the three days that we were there. It is very thoughtful that the host makes sure to have enough tableware and cutlery for a large group. The bedrooms and bedding are comfortable with ample beds. There are plenty of bathrooms and powder rooms and they are beautiful! We had a great stay! Highly recommended!

The place was awesome for our sibling getaway. There were 9 of us all but one was in their 60’s and she was 55. The host was very responsive and helpful. It was a great time!! There were three thermostats and you have understand how they work which I was able to do. I am addressing the earlier claim that they were not working. High tech stuff. The location is very convenient and everything was within 20 minutes. Very safe neighborhood and surprisingly quiet and if you stay up visiting in early morning hours you don’t have to worry about the neighbors calling the cops because they are not close. It a super cute secluded area. Many full baths. 1/2 baths and bedrooms. Back patio was perfect for the 9 of us and the grill worked great. I recommend the place and the host.
