This family farmhouse situated on 6 acres is over 2100 square feet with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and an open concept living and kitchen area. Built in the 1950s but recently renovated, this house has the country charm of days gone by combined with the comforts of modern life.

The perfect spot for some peace and quiet away, while still close to the conveniences of city life. Only 2 miles from downtown Greenville, frontage road facing with easy interstate access and a direct 50 miles into Dallas.

The house is great for hosting larger families or groups, with an open concept living and kitchen area. The living area contains plenty of seating, including 2 sofa beds for additional sleeping space. The kitchen is fully stocked with a large island bar.

The spacious Master Bedroom has back patio access, a small workspace, and an ensuite bathroom. The upstairs contains three bedrooms and one bath. Each upstairs bedroom also has a dedicated workspace.

A back patio with propane grill and seating is perfect for relaxing and taking in the pasture views. The front porch includes a porch swing and rocking chairs, essential for the country life experience.

Drove 14 hours with 3 toddlers and arrived to find the house locked and not cleaned from previous guests. Owner was apologetic, but it still really hurt what was supposed to be a nice family reunion trip since there were few other places to stay in the area. I am not sure if VRBO is at fault or the owner.

Spacious for family gathering

So pleased to find home with large spacious areas for family to gather. Extended family came for Easter and it was so nice. Large master and upstairs bedrooms for all of us.

This house is perfect for a large family gathering and is beautifully decorated. Heidi is a wonderful hostess and we will definitely stay with her again!

Great property!

We stayed here while attending our granddaughter's HS graduation. The house is in very good condition and worked well for our family. We will definitely consider staying again in the future! Thank you so much for the hospitality!

Good space RIGHT off highway

Well decorated and clean house very close to highway- which was perfect for our purposes but good to know, depending on your reason for visiting. The house was well stocked with a super informative binder.

Great family gathering home

Home’s location is very convenient. Less than 10 minutes to grab groceries, but far enough from the city to have the country feel. You can hear the road noise due to the proximity of the high way but we didn’t find that bothersome, just be aware. We have some family who lives locally and it was the perfect place to gather and enjoy time together. No close neighbors to worry about bothering with noise. And the main common areas of the home are nicely separated from the sleeping areas so if you have people who have different sleep habits, it’s very easy to avoid waking each other. We have some early risers and late nighters in our group and you couldn’t tell anyone was up when you were in the bed rooms. The place was very nicely decorated, had very fun history to read about, and everything was clean and comfortable. We’d definitely stay there again if we’re in the area!

The Dream Home

This home was absolutely stunning! The care and dedication put into this place goes above and beyond what we could have imagined. When we pulled up, I was worried about the closeness to the interstate/noise, but 10 minutes inside the house and we had completely forgotten the outside world. Sitting around the living room, making memories, my nephew playing with the provided toys, and the delicious cookies that were left for us! The home and property are absolutely breathtaking! Heidi was the most amazing hostess and, if we are ever back in Greenville, this will DEFINITELY be where we stay!

Chic Country Charm

The attention to detail in this home is remarkable. The decor is perfect with cozy furnishings and tasteful touches that create a homey and comforting ambiance. The living room was the ideal spot to enjoy the company of loved ones. The outdoor space was also very inviting. We enjoyed the backyard games and the amazing weather! We loved learning about the history of the home and we were excited to read the book about Origin Acres that not only provided history, but recommendations of things to do and places to eat in the area! Heidi was very easy to communicate with and made us feel very welcome. Our stay was perfect in every way and we would love to stay again! We would recommend this to anyone looking for the perfect place to enjoy a comforting stay in the country sweet town of Greenville, Texas!

Great Place to Stay

We really, really loved this place. Eight family and friends were in town for a wedding in Farmersville. There was plenty of room. The place is laid out great for visiting and entertaining. The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s very well decorated (according to the Mrs.) and gives that “hime away from home” feel. There were plenty of fun games provided and the backyard space provides plenty of room for lots of fun. The place is located right off of I35 and I was worried about traffic noise before we arrived, but I never even noticed it while we were there. It’s convenient to just about anything in Greenville. The hosts were very responsive and great people. When the refrigerator broke the first night there, they delivered and installed a new one within a couple of hours. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it for your next stay in the Greenville area.

Perfect Family Getaway/Retreat

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Origin Acres but I’ll try to hit several notes! 1) Heidi is a FABULOUS host and communicator! She replied quickly and thoroughly and was so friendly every time. 2) I’m a shameless coffee addict and they speak my love language here. Often I remember to bring either coffee grinds or pods and the property will have the other kind of coffee maker. They have a Mr. Coffee, a Keurig, a drip carafe, and a French press! They even have all the accoutrements you need if you don’t drink it black. 3) Noisemakers in every bedroom. This is genius and when my grand babies came over to visit, they made nap time so much easier. 2 & 3 are typical of the level of thought out into so many accents in this home. 4) perfect indoor and outdoor spaces for families to gather and talk, play, and relax. Plenty of rooms for those who want to rest or need a little alone time. 5) Super easy-access (right off the Highway) but tucked away enough to feel cozy and private. We will definitely be back and are so grateful for all the thought and love you put into everything at Origin Acres!
