Ideal for couples, families, and pet owners seeking comfort, privacy, and convenience.

Exclusive Second-Floor Access:
Guests enjoy private use of the entire second floor. A family member occupies the ground-floor apartment, but there is no shared interior access or common living space, ensuring privacy during your stay.

Comfortable Coastal Living:
Recently updated with hardwood floors, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a spacious en-suite bedroom with a walk-in tile shower, this home is designed for relaxation. A fully equipped gourmet kitchen, stocked with basic oils and spices, and a full-size washer and dryer make extended stays easy. All linens included.

Pet-Friendly Amenities:
Bring up to 2 dogs (no size restrictions). A small pet fee supports additional cleaning. Guests also have access to a large dog crate, bowls, treats, and toys, plus nearby walking paths along the Sound.

We had a great experience. The master bathroom shower was bigger than expected and was a nice surprise. Everything was clean and Tom and Linda were great to work with. They answered all my questions and are very helpful . They truly go above and beyond to leave people with a great experience. Highly recommend for anyone considering .

We had a great time staying here in the OBX! The rental was exactly as advertised: clean, spacious, great location, and had everything you could possibly need for your vacation. We appreciated the thoughtful gift basket and items for our dogs. Would definitely recommend!One thing to note, our elderly dog had quite a bit of trouble with the stairs and needed assistance to get up and down (she recently started having rear leg issues so we didn't consider when booking). We were able to purchase a life vest with handles to make it work. Something to consider if you are booking with an older pup.

The house was immaculate. The kitchen was equipped with anything you would need if you choose to eat at home. The beds were comfortable and there was ample storage space in closets and dressers. Charging stations were at bedside. The master bedroom had a large dog crate and the backyard was fenced. We did not use anything from the entertainment closet but there were ample supplies in case of rainy days. We also did not make use of the bicycles or beach furniture but- again- the items available were plentiful. The house itself is well-shaded, on a quiet street and located a very short distance from a bay-side boat launch. We noted that the launch is a gathering place for sunset watchers. The Avalon fishing pier was literally at the other end of the street.The host responded promptly to our inquiries.We could unreservedly recommend this rental.

Wonderful property, clean, extremely well appointed, central to everything, very dog friendly, even came with a local beach parking pass and free access to YMCA.

Wow! Everything was just top tier! So many big and little details to make our stay next level. Our favorite was the bikes! An evening cruise along the sound is magical. The location is fantastic and the house feels so big and welcoming. Bedrooms are large with plenty of space for our family of 5. All the extras (soaps, cleaning supplies, extra fluffy towels, blankets etc!) such a huge detail so you don’t have to bring all that as well!! Wish we could have stayed for longer!

We had a wonderful stay in this very comfortable home. We had all we needed and more to make our trip memorable from the gift basket when we arrived to all the little extras available in case we had forgotten anything. Our dogs enjoyed the treats and toys left for them too. My favorite was the porch swing in the morning, perfect to relax!

Our stay at Avalon Beach house was amazing. Everything we expected and more for our Outer Banks stay. The house was clean and well stocked. Amenities were amazing!! The availability of beach chairs, beach tent, cooler and etc was truly a plus. The parking pass for beach parking was an incredible perk. We easily found a spot and were within steps of the beach. This location is perfect and in the middle of everything. We walked to the sound (just down the street) several nights to watch the sunset. Our two dogs traveled with us and the puppy amenities were incredible. Check in was easy and the welcome basket was a nice surprise. A beautifully updated interior and great porch to relax. Had a couple of minor issues and the hosts were very quick to respond. We left a a pair of AirPods and the hosts found them and mailed them to us. Above and beyond, thank you. Truly a wonderful OBX stay. We will be back.

Loved this place!

Loved it here! The house was so comfy and inviting, pretty spacious and had all the amenities you could also for. The owners presented us with a gift basket with goodies and they even had a full finder of information about the house and the area! Owners were easy and fast to communicate with as well! Easily would stay here again 5/5 ⭐

The Bar’s Been Raised!

After staying in Tom & Linda’s OBX home in Kill Devil Hill, I now have high expectations for future vacations! Not only was the house well appointed with more than we could ask for, the location was great for going N to see the wild horses, S to the aquarium and learn about the Lost Colony, E to the beach and W to the Sound. There is so much to do and see within a short drive, bike ride or walk in any direction. Tom and Linda are great and attentive host.

OBX-ellent!

This welcoming, comfortable property is a great spot to stay when visiting the Outer Banks. What really makes it special—aside from its cleanliness, good location, and nice aesthetics, all of which apply, and then some—are the thoughtful touches that the owners have put in place. Just a few examples include: a welcome basket for guests, another basket full of things guests may have forgotten, tons of beach-related accoutrements, YMCA passes and an Avalon Beach parking/access pass, lots of toys and treats for pups, and more…even chilled glasses for frosty beverages! It was a wonderful home away from home for our week!

The home was very clean. The property was well furnished with all the comforts you’d need including full stocked kitchen and beach amenities. There was a thoughtful welcome basket and toiletries for anything forgotten…even charging cables. There were lots of touches to feel at home. The decor was lovely and the porch/shutters were fantastic. Hosts were great. It was very welcoming for a dog owner, with small fenced in yard. It was convenient to everything - bay, beach, bike paths, and attractions.

As advertised...

Tom's place was spotless and well appointed. They've paid attention to details--labels on light switches, "in case you forgot" toiletries, nightlights, quality linens, a well stocked kitchen, beach chairs, dog toys and treats, and more--which made staying there a sincere pleasure. We wanted for nothing. The location was minutes from the beach, but quiet, residential, and peaceful. We would gladly stay there again.

Enjoyable Stay in Kill Devil Hills

We stayed at the house for a week. The communication with the hosts was easy and they were very warm and inviting. The house was nicely updated and was stocked with many amenities to make the vacation easy. Towels, bikes, beach chairs, beach pass to park at the beach were all available for your use.The house was dog friendly with dog bowls, a crate, and dog toys. The neighborhood was quiet and neighbors were friendly. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to visit Kill Devil Hills.

Pictures are worth a thousand words, until you arrive at this adorable home. Three bedrooms and 2 full baths that are completely ready for you and your loved ones to enjoy! Did you forget something? It's there, I'm sure of it. We were astounded everyday when we found new things to make our family vacation one that we wouldn't forget. Extra everything in this home! 10 out of 5 stars! Can't wait to go back!

If you are looking to stay close to Nags Head, have children and or pets, you MUST BOOK THIS PROPERTY!!I can not say enough about the Hosts and the property. You will want for nothing, they have made it a point to make sure the littlest details are attended too. OUTSTANDING!! Communication was wonderful. They offer the little things that make you just in Awe of the thoughtfulness, such as a kennel, toys, treats and poop bags for your pups. A crib for your baby. Access to the YMCA and a parking pass for the beach access across the street. Tom & Linda are very special people and it really shows through. I would highly recommend and will definitely rebook.

August Beach Week

We had a fantastic beach vacation! The house was very clean and had so many nice touches, including bikes, boogie boards, YMCA passes, and a parking pass for a beach access. The owners are local and had let us know that we could call with any problems. Of course we never had any issues, but it was nice to know they were available should something have happened. This is a dog-friendly rental so we were happy we could bring our dogs. There is a sound-side trail that was perfect for morning and evening walks. We have absolutely no complaints about this lovely rental and hope to return next year:)
