Welcome to the lower level of this cozy log cabin nestled in the heart of the Aska Adventure Area! Whether you’re seeking relaxation or outdoor excitement, our lower-level retreat offers the perfect getaway.

Scenic Tranquility: Follow the winding pathway through the woods and across Aska Road to the deck overlooking the Toccoa River—a short three-minute walk from your doorstep. Breathe in the fresh mountain air and soak up the serene river views.

Hot Tub Bliss: After a day of exploring the area—whether hiking, fishing, or visiting local attractions—unwind in your very own hot tub. Let the warm bubbles melt away any stress as you enjoy your favorite beveradge .

Privacy Note: From Early-October to late April, Jane and I reside in the upper portion of the cabin with our two little dogs. The lower portion of the cabin, is the vacation rental and is completely separate from the upper level where Jane and I live. During that time we are available on-site for any assistance or inquiries you may have, local attractions, dining , hiking, fishing spots, etc. For the rest of the year, we are in Montana. Remember, plans can change, especially if fire season gets smoky, we may return sooner than planned. But rest assured, your comfort and privacy are our top priorities. Book your escape today and enjoy your stay in this beautiful log cabin!

Please Note: The rental unit does not have a conventional oven, but it does have a convection micro wave, griddle and BBQ grill with a side burner. But don't worry the Iron Bride Cafe and Toccoa River Restaurant are just minutes away.. You may not even want to cook, after all you are on vacation.

Please bag all garbage and place it in the orange container, in the drive way. The trash man will not take un bagged garbage.

If you would put the laundry in the washer and start it, the lady that does the house keeping, would sure appreciate it. Thanks!

If you use the corn hole boards, please put the bags back in the containers. Squirrels will chew though them to get the corn.

Quick Mountain Getaway!

We stayed two nights! Was an awesome short drive to downtown, and a 2 minute walk to some great tubing. The suite was spacious and had a separate entrance. Loved the hot tub too!

Perfect weekend getaway

This place was exactly what we needed and honestly much more than we expected! Incredibly clean. Super spacious for the actual square footage. Wonderful outdoor spaces. Completely stocked everything you need. And Scott was a great host! He even made personal phone call to help us with a quick question. Highly recommend!

Great Cabin in the woods!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The location was beautiful, and the cabin itself was very comfortable and homey. We celebrated my husband's birthday there for a quiet getaway and it was the perfect location. We walked down the stairs to the restaurant up the road for dinner and enjoyed the walk by the river. The bed was comfortable and also enjoyed the hot tub. We definitely would plan to stay there again next time we want a weekend in Blue Ridge.

Excellent spot for a quick getaway.

Loved the location and layout of the property. It was just the right size for us three. Even though property owner was out of town Scott was quick with his responses. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice, quick getaway in the mountains.

Cozy Spot in the Mountains

We loved this place. The back porch and firepit area were well used. We were provide with all the little necessities to make our stay great. The host, Scott, went above and beyond by letting us know, without prompting, that early check in was available the day of our arrival. We explored the area and fished from the deck beside the water. No one was upstairs during our stay. The place was about 10 or 15 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge which was a plus. We will definitely be booking again.

The basement apartment was clean and had great amenities. The beds were comfortable and the front porch was the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning while listening to the birds and river. Its was close to many trails. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful and cozy weekend escape

This was a perfect place for a cozy weekend retreat — close to easy scenic hikes, not far from downtown Blue Ridge, and there is great breakfast at the cafe just down the hill. It’s obvious how much care was put into making this a great place to stay!

Relax on the River

The cabin was fantastic! It is a gravel road going up to the cabin but my Toyota Camry made it up just fine. It was very clean and stocked with anything you could need, even a can opener and wine bottle opener. We used the grill to cook most of our items. It was simple to use. The back porch areas was relaxing! We loved the hot tub. It was also fun to walk down to the river. Now if you are like me, a Florida girl not used to the elevation you might get a little winded going back up but it was well worth it!We enjoyed that there were things nearby to go do. We hiked at Falls Branch Falls and did the tubing! Both were great!

"Jane and I recently reclaimed ownership of the cabin, which she had sold to someone else several years ago. We’re particularly fond of the area for several reasons:
Convenient Amenities: We love that we can easily walk to the Iron Bridge Cafe and general store for breakfast, lunch, or supplies.
Natural Beauty: Just upstream, the Sandy Bottoms recreation area provides excellent fishing access along the river.
Proximity to Blue Ridge: The cabin is only 9 miles away from downtown Blue Ridge.
Outdoor Adventures: Additionally, our cabin is conveniently close to two fantastic trails:
Falls Trail: This scenic trail leads you through lush forests, past cascading waterfalls, and offers breathtaking views.
Swinging Bridge Trail: Experience the thrill of crossing the Toccoa River on the longest swinging bridge east of the Mississippi River. The serene surroundings en route to the bridge make it a delightful hike..
And when we’re not exploring, the Toccoa River Restaurant, just a few minutes away, remains our go-to spot for enjoying craft beers during Happy Hour."

Rocky River Retreat has a generator that turns on automatically in case of power outages. Power outages can be frequent here in North Ga. Very close to two places to eat. Iron Bridge Cafe and Toccoa River Restaurant. Also a short walk to Blue Ridge Tubing, Gem Mining and the Toccoa River.
