Dear Klaus, Thank you for your kind words about the beauty, decor, and amenities of our home. We take great pride in ensuring our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and we appreciate your positive feedback. However, we were surprised and saddened to hear that the noise from the road impacted your experience. This is the first time we have received such negative feedback despite hosting over 150 guests across multiple platforms, many of whom have highlighted the tranquility and oceanfront views. Nearly all oceanfront properties in Campbell River are located along the main road, as shown in our VRBO map and photos. Being close to the road is a trade-off for the stunning ocean views and convenient access to local attractions such as whale watching. For a more secluded experience, properties further inland without the ocean view may be a better fit. Regarding the road noise, our windows are soundproof, and we have never received noise complaints from inside the home. Closing the windows at night would have solved this. Additionally, we provide a portable AC unit for comfort during warmer weather. We understand that there may be cultural differences in expectations. Forced air HVAC systems are common in Canada and may differ from hvac systems in Germany. While they may not be as quiet as some European systems, they are typical for North America and generally well-tolerated by our guests.
