The Crystal Lake Cabin

Welcome to The Crystal Lake Cabin located in Crystal, Michigan only an hour away from Lansing and Grand Rapids. Our family-friendly place is a charming, cozy, rustic A-frame style, one bath cabin at the end of the quiet dirt drive. Take a five minute walk and have a picnic at our private dock or the beautiful Crystal Lake public beach during the day and end your evening by grilling dinner on the deck and a bonfire at night. Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place.
The space
The Crystal Lake Cabin is a six person knotty-pine cabin with one main bedroom which has a queen-sized bed and four twin beds on the loft. It is located near the 724 acre all sports Crystal Lake in Montcalm County; one of the few lakes in mid-Michigan with crystal clear water and sandy bottom and many sand bars in the middle of the lake for shallow swimming. We have our own private lake access with a dock that is about a five minute walk from the cabin. If there is a day that you don’t want to be at the public beach, you can spend it at the dock with picnic lunch where it is a little more quiet. There are chairs available at the dock for your use as well as kayaks. Please do not sit in either boat that is anchored at the dock. Feel free to use the kayaks, but you MUST have life jackets on your person when using them. It is the law and for your safety. We have two adult life jackets at the cabin available for your use. Please return them to the cabin when you are done. You also might want to kayak earlier in the morning and on the edge of the lake when it isn’t as busy compared to the day.

If you bring a boat there is a public boat launch for you to use. Once in the water, you can anchor your boat near our dock you just need to bring it out of the water in the evening. Our driveway has plenty of space for two cars and a boat and trailer.

Enjoy grilling and eating out on the deck for your meals on those warm, sunny days! We have both a gas and charcoal grill for your use. There is also a fire pit, picnic table and chairs in the large side yard and a hammock in the front yard.

The inside of the cabin is cozy and compact and has everything you need to enjoy your stay! The kitchen is well-stocked and so is the bathroom. We have extra beach towels and bag for your use if you need them. There are a variety of small appliances that are always convenient to have in the kitchen. Coffee, tea and cocoa are provided!

Hang out on the giant, comfy couch for a family movie night with a tub of popcorn. We have family games, a Smart TV and access to Netflix and family friendly DVD’s if you are up for an old school movie night. The bathroom is rustic but clean with lots of storage and extra bath towels and amenities.

The main bedroom contains a comfortable queen-sized bed, a dresser, washer and dryer in the closet. There is also a window air conditioner for your use. The loft has four beds and a dresser. Please keep in mind that the loft stairs are steep so consider sleeping arrangements if you are bringing little ones under three years old or someone who might have difficulty climbing a ladder to get to the loft.

Crystal has lots to offer in the summer in addition to the beach! There is a local skating rink, an old theater downtown, as well as Crystal Motor Speedway. There is also B&C Golf Cart rental if you’d like to rent a golf cart for the day! Anderson & Girls Orchard is just a short drive if you’d like visit some farm animals with your little ones. Two favorite places to eat are Oliver’s Pizza and Ike’s Ice cream if you want to eat out one night. Blanchards grocery store and Family Dollar and Dollar General should have everything you need for your stay. If you’d like a larger grocery store, Meijer is only 25 minutes away in Greenville.

Please have fun, but no parties at the cabin. This is a family-friendly lake and neighborhood.
