Relax and enjoy the solitude of Northern Maine "the other Maine".

This little corner of heaven and all its untouched beauty was created for young and old to enjoy!
Our cottage is lake front with your private beach area.

Many activities right outside your door! Bicycling, hiking, fishing, boating, swimming, kayaking, SUP, golfing, museums, hunting, ATV trails. We have a lot of outdoor seating for you enjoy the water, bird watching, enjoy the spectacular sunsets, listen to the loons or just relax in front of an outdoor fire.

Keep watch for our many Moose and resident Bald Eagle!

There are great places to pick raspberries, strawberries and the famed Maine blueberries.

Produce stands have lots of fresh produce.

Fields are colorful with white potato blossoms, yellow canola plants, and abundance of wildflowers.

The rolling hills of the St. John Valley are truly breath taking!

Neighboring small towns have a lot to offer. Fort Kent, St. Agatha, Madawaska Presque Isle, Caribou and Edmunston, New Brunswick/Canada are easily accessible.

Local festivals feature food, fun and the rich Acadian Culture.

Madawaska, ME is the most Northeast corner of the USA!!

With your personal comfort in mind, your vacation get-away is fully furnished with many luxuries of home.

We do keep our calendar up to date. We do have last minute cancellations and do maintain a wait list. If your vacation plans are flexible please let us know and we will put you on our wait list. Please feel free to contact us even if our rental calendar is full for your requested dates. We can put you in touch with others in the area that may have availability.

There are boat rentals in the area. Pontoon, kayak, paddle boards

We are a pet friendly cottage. We ask that you limit to 2 pets and do not let any pets on beds, carpeted areas or furniture. Please write the number of pets in your reservation request. We do have an extra pet fee to help with the extra cleaning costs.

We had an amazing 5 days at Giseleā€™s home. The space was perfect for our group. The home had everything you would need and more. Our two teens loved the thoughtful snacks left out. And the sunsets were gorgeous to watch while sitting along the water. We will be back!!

Beautiful! This place will have all you need and then some. What a lovely stay it was. The place was incredibly clean and well maintained. The host is very friendly and easy to communicate with. The beds were comfortable; the local guide binder was very helpful! The surrounding area is warm and welcoming. Grab some breakfast at Dollyā€™s and have some ployes. Or make them yourself back at this lovely cabin. I hope to return again in the future.

Long weekend

The cabin was clean and well kept. We had to reach the owner one of the nights and she responded immediately. The lake is lovely. Overall, we enjoyed our stay away for a few days.

My friend and my dog and I had a wonderful stay. Gisele was a great communicator. The property and the neighbor are top notch. We will definitely return when we have some time.

St. David Cabin

This is a delightful place to stay. Very comfortable for us and our dog. The pup loved all the windows. The master bed was comfy and the cabin was well equipped and the amenities welcoming. The host was a delight. The only problem was that I didn't think the VRBO app worked in getting messages to the Host.

Chilling with the Loons

Our stay was only 3 days, part of our Maine road-trip. The house is lovely! Itā€™s cozy and comfy with a gorgeous view of Long Lake from the big windows, from the lake front seating, from the dock with my feet in the water, and, in case of rain, from the porch. Itā€™s nicely stocked with welcome treats, condiments, soap and paper supplies. We had a wonderful stay, exploring in the morning and chilling in the afternoon, watching loons and geese.

Great hostess

Host was Kind Enough to open cabin early in the season for us due to a mess up on the booking calendar on the platform side. Her generosity to do so was so awesome! The place was as described. Beautiful to wake up to lake views in the morning. My husbands only complaint was the small shower! Didnā€™t bother me though!! I would stay again!!! Thank you!!!

Perfect for Fall Color

My wife and I went on a 6,000+ mile road trip with two agenda items. 1 - photograph a moose, 2 - photograph fall color. The area around Long Lake, Me was perfect for fall color. Plenty of well maintained well maintained back roads to explore. Our hostess learned of my search for a moose and actually had someone come by to take take us to a prime location. Even brought pictures to prove there were moose. Unfortunately, no moose to be seen while we were there. Needless to say, the staff was super attentive. The property was very clean and extremely well equipped with games, kitchen equipment, outdoor seating, grilling, etc. The sunsets were brilliantly colored and we saw two bald eagles (one adolescent, one adult). The first floor bed was not the most comfortable. We tended to sink in the center and had to laugh "climbing" out. All in all we loved our stay and hope to return to capture that pesky moose photo.

Cozy & Amazing Lake View

This cottage was very clean, cozy and overall a relaxing atmosphere. The lake view from the living room and the lake frontage is excellent! Stairs to upstairs bedroom could be a bit steep for children/elderly. Gisele was 100% in her communication thru the whole rental process & stay!

Family get away

This was the perfect place to disconnect from our otherwise very busy lives and spend time with each other. With 2 teens itā€™s hard to have them in the same place for long and this was perfect for me as a mom. The cabin was in the perfect location and everything I dreamed it would be.

Home on vaction

Really enjoyed our stay on Long Lake. Sunsets were beautiful. Could barely get the grandkids out of the lake. And made wonderful memories for the family. Got to see family. Always feels good to be home.

2021 Solar Eclipse

Canceled PEI, no Canadian entry, so we found our cabin on the lake instead. Best decision ever. Good space, gorgeous view and everything you would need. Oh, and our host Gisele? Perfect. She checked in with us every couple of days. So attentive and pleasant.

This is the perfect place to relax and unwind

I was looking for a lake house in Maine to relax and clear my mind. This was the perfect property! When I checked in the entire cabin was very clean. There was more than enough room, and the cabin looked just like the pictures. I was able to enjoy a camp fire on the lake shore while looking up at the Milky Way. Later during my stay there was rain, but I was still able to have a fire inside while looking out at the lake. I will miss walking out of the bedroom and seeing the lake through the huge windows. Morning coffee will not be the same after being there. Thank you for the stay!

My family is from this area and we have been spending the summers on Long Lake for many years. It is very quite and is rich with French Acadian Culture. The area is just breathtaking. There is so much to do and the small towns offer the utmost in hospitality and awesome down home cooking.

Our cottage is located right on Long Lake. It is very easy to access and while it is very quite and comfortable the area offers an abundance of activities. You can swim or fish right from the front of the cottage. There is also a public beach, tennis courts, basketball courts, golfing, walking trails, bicycling, restaurants, and small shops within walking distance or just a short drive away.
The sunsets are spectacular! Our cottage offers a large covered porch to enjoy the outdoors even when it may be raining.
We are only 20 minute drive to Edmunston, New Brunswick in Canada. There are many antique shops and small historical museums. Many restaurants featuring home made food using fresh and local ingredients.
