Host was very receptive. Property was nice and clean but somewhat dated. Location was nice with lots of restaurants, however some bedrooms faced a very busy road with lots of road noise.

Just that if you bring your own boat, you cannot dock it at this property. That was really the only part I missed on picking the property. Otherwise, clean plenty of room and of course we had a great time fishing nearby!

There were only a couple of things you should be aware of is no washer and dryer and there is no public access to the lake which means you cannot put a boat in. With that said we had a blast with the kayaks and canoe. The water was incredibly clear and our family was able to fish off the pier. They saw a big northern right off the pier.

House was well maintained. Nice view of the water. Kitchen nice size. Lots of room for hanging out. Nice outdoor seating for a large group. Easy to access many restaurants and local areas.

Beautiful house for large groups. The owners are so accommodating and relaxed about everything. It’s been 3 years in a row and we’ll be back again next year!

The place was very clean and spacious. Able to accommodate 12 adults comfortably. The bedrooms are all in the back of the place which is nice for quiet for those sleeping. My only issue with the place is that it is literally off of hwy 51 and the traffic noise if VERY loud. If I had known that I may have reconsidered staying here as I was looking for something quiet. If that is not an issue then this is a very nice place for a large group. Being that it is literally off of Hwy 51 it is close to everything you need - stores, grocery , gas etc. The lake is fine, nice to have kayaks to use but lake is not very swim friendly unless you go in the middle due to all the weeds. These are not complaints more as FYI…to make a fully informed decision. Host are very easy to work with and prompt to respond to questions

Our group had a wonderful stay at this lakeside home. We brought a pontoon and boat along with us, which we didn't use on Little Muskie because it is so small, but there is a very nice lake just minutes away (Big Arbor Vitae) that was perfect for boating and tubing, and was pretty quiet the days we were there. If you have kids who love to fish, though, this is the perfect place. Our grandsons, 8 and 5, had a great time pulling in little fish almost as fast as they could drop their lines and was the absolute highlight of their stay. The home is spacious and allowed for our party of 15 to spread out as needed. There is a door that can be closed between the main area and the sleeping quarters, which was great for when the littles were napping. The bedrooms got a little warm at night with the doors closed, even with the AC running, so bringing a little fan if you're a hot sleeper would be helpful. The kitchen is very spacious and well stocked with the essentials. The one thing we didn't appreciate so much was the amount of traffic noise from the adjacent highway, so if you're looking for peace and quiet this isn't the place for you, but the trade off for us was finding this beautiful home with enough space to accommodate our large group. Overall a great place to stay!

Excellent floor lay out, kitchen was well stocked, property is beautiful.

Sleeping arrangements are perfect for a quiet stay with living areas on the opposite side of the house. Amenities are beautiful, our guests did kayaking, fished from the pier and we had a campfire each night. Great location for a large group and close to shopping.

Annual Cross Country Ski Trip

We loved this house because it allowed us to spread out and enjoy the entire space. Heating system worked well too which was important due to extremely cold temps during our stay. Everything was properly clean and the large parking lot was appreciated as well.

Time on the lake

Great location. In addition to immediate access to the lake behind the home, the location is within about 10 minutes of everything we wanted to do in Minocqua. We would stay here again in the future.

Plenty of room for a group. Beautiful view of the lake. Stairs and path to pier and kayaks. Slow to fix a leak, understand that it was 4th of July. Also not a fan of 8am checkout. Very unique property.

Perfect for our retreat.

The rooms were all in one area, which made it easy to keep all the students together. There was an ample number of parking spots and a black top for us to use for activities. There was a time when someone drove up to the lodge and got out during one of our activities, and we didn't know who it was. We assumed they owned the property because they were able to access the shed. This was a perfect place for our gathering.

This property is perfect for a large family to comfortably enjoy the living quarters. The 8 bedrooms are at one end of the building allowing “the littles” to go to sleep earlier than the adults with no need to worry about making too much noise to disturb their slumber. Both the main level and lower level have a family room with a tv and the lower level has a pool table. A wine/beer cooler in the bar area, in addition to the fridge, came in handy. The lake isn’t crowded with fellow boaters so we boated, tubed, and fished at our leisure. The dock was nice and the children could walk right into the lake from shore. It obviously isn’t a sandy beach but nice with water shoes. The creek that is on the property adds an element of enjoyment for the children. We spotted turtles, otters, ducks, and eagles. The property is on a busy highway but that isn’t a danger for the children as the very large parking lot and landscaping offer a large buffer from the highway and all activities (outdoor patio, two campfire areas, creek and lake are in the backyard.) The staff that answers the 800 # number when you call are very kind and the maintenance man was prompt and knowledgeable (we had one bed that needed repair to its mattress support boards) upon arrival. Issue was fixed that day and overall the beds and pillows were comfortable. Our only complaint was inadequate supply of: toilet paper, hand soap, dishwasher pods, garbage bags and paper towels - plans to bring some or shop for supplies.

The home was exceptionally clean, and we all felt comfortable from our very first night. It is beautiful, well-maintained, and very functional for a large group. The bedrooms are thoughtfully located away from the main living area, which allowed those who wanted to sleep to do so without being disturbed by activity in the common spaces.However, we felt the location and lake access were not accurately represented in the listing. The home is quite close to the highway, so we had to be especially careful with our young children. Traffic noise, including cars and motorcycles, was noticeable throughout the day and even during our evening bonfires.We were also disappointed to discover prior to our arrival, that the lake does not have a public boat launch, which was not disclosed in the description. As a family that enjoys fishing, this was a significant drawback.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the cleanliness, comfort, and layout of the home, but we believe the listing should provide a clearer description of the location and lake access so future guests know what to expect.
