Mitten Flats #4 - 1 Block to the beach! Hot tub!

Fully renovated flat 1 block from the beach! Plus, community HOT TUB available for use. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit sleeps up to 10 people. Walk to Lake Michigan in 4 minutes and down the pier to the lighthouse in 12. Enjoy the beach and take in the sunset. Check out all the shops downtown, also within walking distance, and grab a great meal at one of the local restaurants. Take in the sights of Ludington or take a drive along the lakeshore and check out the scenery. The unit is the lower unit in a 2-unit building, right on Ludington Ave - watch the holiday parades right out front!

Beautifully remodeled space within walking distance to the beach! Kitchen has all new appliances and coffee maker. Living area has new furniture and bathrooms have new fixtures. There's a sitting area right outside your door to watch the activity on Ludington Ave in addition to a shared deck area. Each bedroom has a queen bed and twin over full bunkbeds, so while it can sleep up to 10, please know that it would be tight quarters if you max out the occupancy.

Property was as described, as expected and as close to the beach as you can get. The only complaint that we came across is less a complaint and more of a warning- the ceiling is really thin so you have to be super aware and respectful of your neighbors!

Louvers our stay at Mittens Flat

Perfect location for our group of friends to stay while in town for a wedding. The location was amazing with the beach one direction and downtown the other. We walked or bikes everywhere. The property manager was extremely friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed her. Highly recommend.

Excellent location and the layout of the flat is really nice.

We stayed for 3 nights. The flat is just as it is described and very clean. So close to the lake and downtown. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Great place, everything as they said it would be. Mike is great, reached out via email several times to check in and immediately responsive. Weather was unseasonably warm, love sitting out front and soaking up the fall sun!

Location, Location, Location --THE BEST!

Loved the location. We had a fantastic time with the games out front and conversing with other travelers. Walk to the beach and town was super easy. Loved the outdoor patio and grill area. Had an enjoyable family dinner! A few things to consider updating -- the pillows were awful - way too hard. Beds were good. Only one out of three remote controls worked for the tv's - very inconvenient. The air wasn't the best -- one bedroom (to the right) was nice and cold. Bedroom on the left just blew out air. The kitchen/living room area did not have air! Also, the bathroom windows do not open. Made some great memories!

Huge Disappointment

Based on my experience I would not recommend Mitten Flats. I was over charged by Mitten Flats and it took two and a half weeks to get them to credit my account back. Upon arrival our flat was freezing cold, we called Michael immediately to let him know we didn’t have heat. Michael was unable to reach the owner on the issue and told us we could purchase heaters and they would reimburse us (which they did). The following day they had the cleaners come to check the heat issue and it was determined that there was a boiler issue and no one can fix it for two more days. Due to the inconvenience of no heat they offered us a late checkout. I definitely think a late checkout wasn’t enough for going three days with no heat. The floors were sandy and looked like they haven’t been mopped recently based on turning our socks black. The pillows were so hard we were better off not using one. The bed frames had no support and one of the beds had zip ties holding it together. The flat had a musty smell that they tried to coverup with odor absorbers and air fresheners. I would not stay here again.
