Need a quiet get-away? You've got the it!!! Relax on the front porch and drink in the gorgeous mountain view and lovely night music. This is a quiet place in the mountains to relax!! Instead of town noise, you'll hear all the night sounds & watch the colors of the sky change as the sun sets or the fog sets in. You will love the fabulous night air, the night sounds, and the stars while relaxing in the hot tub!!

This home has a living room, furnished kitchen,(no dishwasher) full bathroom, & bedroom with a queen bed on the main floor; 2 floor mattresses in the loft; basement has a full bed and bathroom. There is DVD player, Roku Smart screen, WiFi, horse shoe & corn hole, as well as card games. The Blue Ridge Parkway is nearby. This cabin is 15 min from the AT at mile marker 809.1

Please note that this home is in the mountains & it does have a gravel road that curves up to the top. If there is ice on the road during the winter, you will need a heavy 4-wheel drive vehicle to get up to the house. Please consider purchasing Travel Insurance during winter months. This location is in a subdivision, but the gravel road is not state maintained. We are in the mountains so you will encounter some bugs.

There is a gas grill and a fire ring. Fire wood is available. Supplies for the grill and fire ring are in the shed or the deck box.

We had the best experience at the cabin! The cabin was clean and cozy and the host provided everything that was needed for our stay. From cookware to firewood, she's thought of everything you'd need during your stay. So many personal touches around the cabin made it feel more like a home vs a rental. We enjoyed the fire pit, cornhole, the hot tub, reading on the deck with a cup of coffee, a visit from a deer enjoying a late night meal out front and a visit squirrel on the deck. We also enjoyed meeting the family that runs the small grocery store a little ways down the road. It was the perfect place for our family to reconnect and have some downtime together. The host was easy to communicate with and was helpful with any questions we had both before and during our stay. We would absolutely recommend this cabin for a family who is looking for some down time!

This was our second time staying here. It was everything we wanted. Clean, Cozy, and Quiet. We enjoyed the beautiful views, the relaxing hot tub, and the spectacular wildlife. We were excited to see a fawn and its mother playing in the yard and a couple of mischievous squirrels playing on the porch.

We enjoyed our stay and the cabin was perfect, it had all the amenities and was just what we needed for a weekend away. The check in and checkout process was easy and having a extra time to check out made it very convenient.

Absolutely gorgeous property, the view from the deck, living room area and lower great room/bedroom are never boring. Beautiful area, we travel down south from MI every year to the Appalachian Mt ranges and this has definitely been our favorite cabin. Two full bathrooms is killer, coffee or other beverages by fire, patio view or deck. Don't burn your food on the grill just staring off at the view or abundance of deer. You have a special place Dee, we very much appreciated it.

Beautiful cabin, great host

Beautiful private cabin, very clean and well-stocked. Owner Dee is a great host, extremely responsive. Unfortunately had some trouble with the air conditioning unit but should be repaired for the next guest and Dee worked hard to make it right.

Mountain Top Experience!

Great cabin! Very comfortable, everything was perfect, clean and cozy! Would definitely recommend this property. Visited Natural Bridge and VA Safari Park and both were amazing!

Peaceful Mountain Retreat with Stunning Views

Our stay at this cozy mountain home near Amherst, VA, was truly memorable. The panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains were breathtaking, providing a serene backdrop for our getaway. Dee's Cozy Haven was everything we were looking for. Secluded and just about to the top of the mountain gave us the quiet mountain escape we needed. Will be our first choice next time we are heading to the area.

Great mountain retreat!

Our stay at this mountain retreat was absolutely perfect! The house was cozy, well-equipped, and had stunning views that made every morning feel like a dream. Relaxing R&R trip for worn out moms

I was gifted 2 nights away and chose Dee's property. My ONLY regret was not booking for more nights. The home was immaculate upon check in and Dee had all the little things we needed to be comfortable during our snowy stay. The view was outstanding. The hot tub was a brilliant touch, and we thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit. Dee made sure to reach out ahead of check in and make sure everything was good to go, and the whole check in and out process was super easy. The decor was cute and inviting and the whole stay was just quiet and memorable. I cannot wait to come back during the spring or fall and see the wildlife and do some hiking. We stayed at the cabin the whole time due to the snow and didn't find ourselves bored or wishing to head out somewhere... We just brought all our groceries from the food Lion in town and hunkered down. I'd give this stay an 11/10 and we'll be back again.

Just Perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You have to drive a ways to get anywhere but we new that ahead of time and planned our outings accordingly. The house had everything we needed for our group of four and the hot tub was a perfect way to wind down in the evening. We would definitely stay again.

Found a new favorite!

What a great find! We've got sort of a "rotation" of cabins in the area that we like, but all were full this time so we had to branch out and I'm glad we did! Dee's cabin is cozy and clean; plenty of pillows and blankets for lounging, and great quality towels and linens. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and really enjoyed the downstairs space in particular for movie-watching and hot tubbing. Dee was just the right level of responsive and check in/out was super easy; this is a great cabin and we'll definitely be back!

Awesome cabin

Dee’s cabin is wonderful, very clean and very well maintained and equipped. This was a short visit but we will definitely stay here again. Beautiful Mountain View’s and very relaxing atmosphere, hot tub was icing on the cake. Thanks to our wonderful host.

Peaceful Setting

Excellent lodge for a couple- possibly 2 couples or small family. It’s clean, relaxing in a peaceful setting with a beautiful view. The jacuzzi outside was a great highlight. We relaxed on the porch for meals and quiet time. It’s close to several nice hikes. Restaurants were 30 - 40 minutes away. We ended up eating in Lynchburg for better choices, but also brought our own and used the kitchen. Sweet touches- coffee and chocolate candy provided!

Perfect cabin getaway!

We absolutely loved this mountain retreat! It was the cleanest, most well stocked VRBO that I ever stayed in! We will definitely be back again! We had a lot of destinations to visit on this trip; if I ever go back it will be to just relax at the cabin. The only negative that I can even give is that it was a tad bit far from a foodlion than we expected but there was the cutest small town grocery store close to the cabin that has essentials and they sell some local ground beef and burgers that we grilled at the cabin and we just had to stop by again to get more for home! Thank you Dee for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Lots of guests come here for the quiet setting - totally away from town. The hot tub adds an awesome way to relax while enjoying the fresh mountain air!

This cabin is 45 minutes from LU, 45 minutes from the historical town of Lexington, 20 min from AT and many other hiking trails, Blue Ridge Parkway is nearby. Take time to visit Natural Bridge, Peaks of Otter, and Crab Tree Falls!! The little town of Amherst is about 20 minutes from the cabin.
