The lay out of the house was perfect! It was close to everything we needed. Communication with the owner was delayed in the beginning several days before our visit but he was very active in communication right before check in and when we first arrived. Nice place!

Enjoyable stay

Our stay was super pleasant. The home was easy to find and exactly as described. The neighborhood was quiet and our host was quick with responses and made our stay a great one. He even suggested some local restaurants that we absolutely loved.

Stayed at the Blue Belle and overall it was really nice. Communication with the owner was pretty decent and responsive. The only concern was the cleanliness in a few areas and some supplies were not restocked during the stay. I honestly think the cleaning crew may be lacking detailed cleaning because they know the owner isn’t there to personally check everything. Other than that, the stay itself was enjoyable.

We rented this same house last year and loved it. This year, it did not meet our expectations, as there were quite a few issues with our early check-in (arranged but couldn't get in with code for 35 minutes) and getting back into the house that first evening (45 minutes because code had been changed for some reason). I wrote a detailed message to the owner on August 20th, delineating the issues and indicating I would not put a poor review on VRBO; however, I've heard nothing back. Generally, the house needs a deep cleaning, and some attention, in a nutshell. It's in a good location for us, as we return on a regular basis to the area. Disappointed.

Warm and Welcoming House in the perfect location.

The Blue Belle was the perfect place for our long weekend visiting family in the area. The house has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The snacks and beverages in the welcome basket were a nice touch! We stayed during December so it was too cold to enjoy the grill, and fenced in backyard, but we look forward to staying here when we come back in the summer! Thank you for everything Jack!

One Night Stay

We absolutely loved the Blue Belle House. Very clean, nice yard and beds were very comfortable, TV in all bedrooms. Had everything we needed. Only hick up was we didn’t get the email for the code to the door before we got there. Sent message to owner and called VRBO and we were in within 5 minutes. Would DEFINITELY stay there again!

Blue house

Cute house in a neighborhood with close homes next door. Well decorated and amenities were A. Altho we did find a few issues : 2 cockroaches on the kitchen, huge wall damage in the second bathroom and a few other small items needing repair. All appliances were in tip top shape . the beds and linens were sublime.

Blue Gastonia House

Home was very nice and clean. Each bedroom had a TV so everyone could relax. Home had everything we needed. My only recommendation would be to have a couple of extra blankets and pillows for the pull out sofa. Other than that I would definitely return.

No welcome information was provided prior to the stay. Host stated this is due to VRBO locking him out of his account. The property also had roaches that when brought to the hosts attention were sprayed for but kept finding them during the stay.

Last minute need

Had a visit planned for the area for Easter weekend and the Wednesday before my hotel canceled my reservation because of mechanical problems. I checked VRBO and found a couple listings that would suit our needs and this one seemed like the best. Our only hesitation was that the property only had one review on VRBO. The house and the location were perfect for our needs. My only complaint would have nothing to do with the house itself. Be warned you will listen to trains several times each night. If the need arises for us to be in the Gastonia area, I will look into getting this home again.

Hi Maridele, Thank you for your review of our home. We have the pleasure of maintaining a super host status on Airbnb, and are working toward building our VRBO listing. Gastonia is known for their extensive railway system, which serves the transit needs of the local area. We do our best to assist with noise reduction for the additional ambient noise. We would love to host you in the future and thank you for your five star review!

Communication Issues with Owner

Supposedly, an email would be sent with the access code to the property, but that never happened. VRBO ended up having to contact the owner to get the code, then I was told there would be a follow-up text, but that didn't happen either. After driving for almost 6 hours to get there, that was rather frustrating. There were no instructions for locking the door, so had to use trial and error in order to leave the property. The house itself was very nice and amenities were unexpected.
