Just minutes away from the Biltmore, historic downtown Hendersonville, Chimney Rock Park, as well as the DuPont and Pisgah Forests, Biltmore Estate, this property is quick scenic drive to all local destinations. Recently renovated, Eagle's Rest retains the character of a vintage lodge but with all the comforts of a well-equipped retreat. Look out on a spring-fed pond or relax with a good book on a porch rocking chair. Or listen to the babbling creek from your hammock. In the evening you can enjoy a dip in your hot tub or roast marshmallows in the fire pit before a good night's sleep in your comfortable beds. What a great property. There is nothing bad to say about this spot. We highly enjoyed the views, the coziness the cabin provided and really enjoyed late night soaks in the hot tub.

Everything was great! The only thing that was a little disappointing was getting the hot tub to the temp we wanted it. It said allow 15 minutes per degree but it never got to where we wanted. That was a very small issue though, everything else was great!!

Relaxing Getaway

We loved staying at the Eagles Rest for our annual friends getaway. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. We loved the comfy couches and the huge fire pit. Very easy to get to downtown Hendersonville.

Excellent stay!

We loved our week at the Eagle’s Rest! The quiet secluded location was great. Our 3-year-old loved playing around the yard and the pond, and climbing on the rocks. In the evenings we enjoyed the fire pit, and the hot tub after the kids went to bed. Everything was clean, and the host provided a lot of nice little things. The kitchen was well stocked, laundry detergent, firewood and a lighter, and toys/games/puzzles for entertainment, even some fishing rods for the pond. We actually thought it was bigger than it looked in the pictures, which was a pleasant surprise.

Excellent Stay

This cabin was an amazing find and the owner was great to work with the entire time. It was very well-appointed, clean and comfortable and had lots of great info on things to do and see around town. It was in a very convenient location and easily accessible by a paved road. Also less than 15 minutes from an Ingles in case you forget anything and the WiFi was strong. We really enjoyed our time here and would absolutely rent again!

Ladies weekend

We stayed for a girls weekend and had a wonderful time. The house was perfect and the beds were amazing. We were already planning next years trip before we left. We were so happy with the lodge.

No Respect

This would have been a great vacation spot except for being woke up by someone cutting down s tree right in front of the property at 8am. We had a long day/evening on July 4th and could not understand why someone would be on the property early next morning running a chain saw. I tried to call the owner but cell phone service was too poor. I also tried to use the WiFi but it was poor too and would not allow for phone use either. I made contact with the owner later in the morning to be told sorry. This is not cool when you pay extra for the holiday period and you pick the property to receive peace and quiet.

Girls reunion trip

We had a great time and loved the location. The appliances are needing to be fixed in the kitchen. The dishwasher was really unstable. The glass rack kept falling off and the whole unit looked like it was going to fall out. The refrigerator needs tlc too. The jacuzzi was great. We wanted to watch a scary movie and the remotes didn’t have batteries. I bought some. Minor issues because the property is really beautiful and we really had an awesome time.

Property Review

Love the location and the privacy of the property. Everything was as described on property add. Only thing keeping us from giving excellent on the whole experience was the beds. They need to be upgraded.

Eagles rest

As much as I would like to keep this property a secret Richard deserves all the business he can get! We enjoyed our getaway so much. This property has everything you could want, from fishing to local dining nobody could be disappointed with a trip to the eagles rest!

Great getaway spot for families!

Our family stayed at this cabin for a couple of days during spring break week. We had an amazing time at the cabin. There were many things for our kids to do, games, puzzles and toys. they loved the fire pit and pond out front, and the porch was perfect for sitting and enjoying. The cabin was very clean and had many thoughtful touches. We loved the hot tub at night. One of the best surprises was how well appointed the kitchen was. We cooked most of our meals and had everything we needed! We will be back again in the fall!

Perfect Getaway

We visited the area for a weekend getaway and trip to the Biltmore Estate. The lodge is absolutely perfect! It's far enough away from town that it's incredibly peaceful but close enough that it was no trouble getting to restaurants or the store. So many extras are included in this rental and it is very charming. We are already talking about a trip back!

Great mountain escape

We loved the quiet, wooded location. The cabin has everything you would need. Love the beautiful rustic look and my kids loved playing on the property and skipping rocks in the pond.

Mountain time

The house is in a beautiful setting with a pond, big firepit, hot tub. Lots of wood provided. The rooms were nicely decorated, kitchen well equipped. The smaller queen room needs a new mattress (2 people sleeping in it can't help but roll to the center). The house had been surface cleaned but it needs a THOROUGH cleaning (cobwebs, baseboards, window sills, air conditioners). I realize it's a house in the woods but it needs some attention. The upstairs bathroom is in sad shape. The handrail going upstairs isn't securely anchored to the wall. Downstairs bath and a half were fine. Location was fine, great driveway, plenty of parking.

Weekend getaway

My maid of honor and I decided to get away for the weekend and chose to stay here. Gorgeous property and plenty of things to do at the property and the surrounding area. There is a likely chance that I will stay here again if I'm ever in the area.

Very Relaxing

The house was a beautiful location. It was also well equipped for cooking. The tub upstairs is raised about 2 feet. It was a little challenging getting out with wet feet. The downstairs shower had very easy entry! Great addition!
