Welcome to *Get-Away Chalet* a spacious 2nd Floor 2 bedroom/2 bath beautifully updated Condo at Blue Knob All Seasons Mountain Resort! Its Ski and Ride Season! Ski and boot rack in entry way and plenty of hooks for coats and helmets.

Located along side Blue Knob Ski Resort. Access to the mountain is a short drive or shuttle bus ride to the top. Get-Away Chalet is roughly 30 minutes from Altoona, 50 minutes from Johnstown, 90 minutes from State College and 40 minutes from Bedford, Pa.

Full kitchen stocked with cooking and baking essentials, linens, bath/kitchen towels, soap, shampoo, coffee, & W/D access. 3 Smart TV's with Roku, log in to your subscription service.

Enjoy the Keurig coffee and spirits' bar. A variety of starter K-cups are offered.

Check in time is after 3pm
Check out time is before 11am

There is an outdoor fire pit and charcoal grill located in the courtyard behind the Expressway condo building. Enjoy relaxing on the back balcony!

Enjoy Blue Knob resorts rec. center with indoor poo//hot tub/workout room/sauna accessed via key card provided during your stay.

In Winter, travel 3/4 of a mile to the summit to the Blue Knob Chalet for your ski/ride experience! Grab a bite at the on site bar/grill or back to the condo area and hang out at the on-site Clubhouse Restaurant and Bar with daily specials, pool table, games and live music just across the parking lot from the Get-Away Chalet!

Free parking right outside the condo. Easy direct access via door code.
Long term stays available with housekeeping 2 times per month.

Note on Trails/Amenities:
Please note that the open/close status of ski slopes, tubing park or other amenities is beyond our control. Please visit Blue Knob website or social media for current status updates. Typical ski season runs from early December to mid March. While we do everything we can to make your stay and experience most enjoyable, we unfortunately cannot offer refunds/discount due to inclement weather/amenities out of service for repair. Thank you.

Long Term Rentals: In order to maintain great quality and up keep of our condo, housekeeping will come in every 2 weeks at a rate of $50/cleaning.
Pets: No pets are allowed in condo (family allergies). Fee will be charged if housekeeping reports findings of pet hair/dander etc... in condo.
Amenities: To access pools/hot tubs/sauna - HOA provides 1 key card/unit. Please take care to not lose this! There is a $50 charge for replacement.

Great location! Just 5 min from the ski lodge. The condo was clean and had low cleaning odors. We loved the community sauna!

Very nice accommodations, 5 minutes away from ski lifts. We enjoyed sauna and the poo as well. It’s was a beautiful view out of the window with all the snow and wood furnace was pleasant to sit in front of. Highly recommend.

Great place to spend the weekend

It was a great place to stay for the weekend. Great communication and the apartment was small but very clean, well furnished, and had everything we needed. It felt like we were right at home! Would definitely stay here again!

Friendly, clean, convenient!

Stayed for a wedding with some friends. Walkable distance from the clubhouse/conference center. Super easy check in process. Photos and description lived up the the expectations! Steve and Susan were great hosts and easy to get in touch with. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Great stay close to Blue Knob!

This was a cozy condo within two miles of the top of Blue Knob. The condo was very clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect. We encountered a minor issue upon arrival that the owner addressed promptly and courteously. The bar/restaurant on site was convenient and the food was excellent. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Condo

Stayed here for our annual family reunion in Altoona and the condo was beautifully renovated and comfortable for me and my parents. Having our own separate bathrooms was a must and smart TV's in every room was perfect as well. Communication was great and the location was both quiet and had a lot of recreational activities available.

If you have disabilities of any kind do not stay at Blue Knob Resort. If you have children with disabilities of any kind do not stay at Blue Knob Resort. Peaceful mountaintop condo

Visited this well-appointed and comfortable condo (from 7 hours away) to meet up with a friend. The condo had everything we needed, including great Internet and plenty of room to spread out papers and maps. We visited the adjacent Blue Knob SP, shopped in Bedford, and had lunch at the historic Jean Bennet Tavern. I would definitely visit again! Note: The condo complex is not as well-maintained as the interior of the condo, and the ski complex is located at the top of a winding road, well away from centers of commerce; these were not deal breakers for me and I enjoyed the drive and seclusion.

Blue Knob Getaway Chalet in Mid-July

The property itself was as advertised, roomy enough for 6 adults, and kept in beautiful condition. It was clear that the hosts wanted visitors to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We had a problem with internet access for a day, but this was caused by the internet provider getting scheduled maintenance days mixed up. After i informed the hosts of the issue, not only did they make quick arrangements to get the problem fixed, but are making a complaint to the condo board concerning what happened. This place is a great one in which to experience mountain wooded nature and quiet, even as a ski resort condo in the middle of a hot July!

Fantastic Condo at Blue Knob

My family of 4 has stayed at several different condos at Blue knob and this is by far our favorite. The entry way has a fantastic closet to hold ski gear with tons of hooks to hang all the gear. The kitchen has a great amount of counter space for food prep and it's equipped with everything you'll need. The living room has a nice amount of sitting space to relax after a day of skiing with a great mounted smart TV. The fireplace/stove is really nice and gives off great heat. They were smart and put two beds in the master bedroom (bigger room) to acomodate families with multiple kids and the smaller bedroom has the one queen bed. The condo was very clean, newly updated and just a great place to stay. We will certainly be back!

Great retreat in the summer

We have traveled to the Bedford/Claysburg area every summer for the past 20+ years to attend a family reunion Other than 1 or 2 times, we have stayed up at Blue Knob. The scenery and cooler temperatures have always made this a great spot to be in the summer ... it is so peaceful and quiet! Over the years, some of the condos had gotten a little run down so we went to renting a house. This year for a variety of reasons we chose to go back to the condos. There are still some aspects of the outside of the condos that could use some freshening up (the walkways outside the condos have rips and tears and the railings could use some paint)... but this condo was AMAZING! Everything was updated and clean. There was plenty of space for the 4 adults and 2 teens that were there ... great having two bathrooms ... fire pit back behind the condo building was perfect for getting the whole family together (there were about 22 of us staying in different condos) ... everyone loves the indoor pool and hot tub ... and the water in the outdoor pool this year was pleasantly warmer than usual (thinking the 90 degree weather earlier in the week contributed to that) ... enjoyed eating at the clubhouse and recommend getting Claysburg pizza and going up to the top of the mountain and watching the sunset. Bar Ann Drive Inn movie theater in Portage is also an evening entertainment option. Blue Knob is a GREAT place in the summer and we would HIGHLY recommend this condo!

We had a wonderful stay at this condo. Our plans for the weekend didn’t allow us to use the amenities of Blue Knob, so I can’t speak to those, but the stay was very comfortable . The condo was clean and had all cooking essentials. The beds were very comfortable and the towels linens were a really high quality. The hosts made it easy to access the apartment and were very communicative before the stay so we knew what to expect (ie grocery shop before arriving, etc). Highly recommend!

Nice extended weekend

In town to visit our Marine son in school, enjoyed the pool, bar/restaurant, pickleball court. Condo was cute and accommodating. Had everything we needed and WM was able to deliver the rest. Have cash in hand for some local diners. Construction was annoying but you can not avoid improvements
