The room was nicely remodeled, the person cleaning the room did an excellent job, he opened drawers and wiped the inside down, and made sure we had anything we needed.This was a Lil gem of a place, I can't wait to see the full remodel, it is located in the perfect spot. The only downfall is there is no ice machine and only one small icecube tray.

Check i. Could have been difficult had the housekeeper not been there. I could not ppen the message from the host with any check in info. There were no dinette chairs, all vents fans were caked in dust, and mold on the shower curtain. Beds were comfortable and sheets/linens clean

Great stay!

Is a good option when you are in a budget like we did, it was cheaper than the rest around us. i would change the mattress and add the tv. Other than that is clean, is a walking distance from everything, downtown, taking the boat for the Island, has ac,park everything is right there.

Older but right by Sheplerā€™s ferry to Mackinac Island

Although the motel called Welcome Inn (different on VRBO) was older, it was somewhat updated. The location is great and the price was good. Microwave and frig, WiFi, tv, old window a/c, but if youā€™re expecting to live lavishly, this is not the place. We did like itā€¦

Long weekend getaway

Overall the stay met our needs. We are not overly needy. The room was very spacious which was great! The owner was very helpful in finding us a place to park our trailer. The only ā€œissuesā€ we had was the beds seem to be very old and more like a trampoline. Only one roll of toilet paper provided. The shower/bathroom would be cover in water/moisture after a shower. I almost wonder if the tub leaked but the bathroom fan really didnt help with the moisture either. Again, had the beds been better and maybe a queen and bathroom a bit updated we would certainly stay again. The location canā€™t be beat.

Welcome Inn Stay

Rated stay a 3. They have done nice job remodeling room interiors. Both air conditioner and bathroom fan are noisey and on their last leg. Exterior must be a work in progress. There was no number to call if you need anything, cable stopped working on our last night. Location is excellent, close to restaurants, stores and ferry to the island.

Fraudulent business

This is false advertisement and a scam. The Apple Blossom Boutique does not exist on this property. Pictures listed are likely from the facility 50 years ago. It is now an unrecognizable run down motel called The Welcome Inn. We were not even comfortable with entering the room upon arrival.

Great location but needs major upgrades

You cant get any closer to everything with this property, but.....there is no way to bolt the door which made me feel unsafe. There is a window that is ground floor with no covering, we had to hang a towel over it. The floor felt like it would fall through in some spots.

Convenient location where you can walk everywhere. New pine walls were pretty and smelled nice. Satellite tv was nice. The Outside bench, being able to bring our dog, and the door code were all very convenient, but there were no lamps in the room - we had to call for someone to fix the bulb in the one ceiling light. Still no bedside lamps. No cold water tap in the shower- so we were unable to shower. Bathroom walls and toilet had not been cleaned before we arrived. We had to wipe it all down. Mattresses very old and soft and moved sideways off the frame overnight so you fell off. Also we reserved a room at the AppleBlossom inn and when we arrived it had the name ā€˜Welcome Innā€™. The overall look outside is pretty rundown. Although parking was convenient.

Horrible

We arrived (2 hours after check in) only to find that our room was not ready and was filthy. This was an immediate turn-off. Contacted host and we were told housekeeping got behind. We were told there was another room We could have but we were too disgusted to stay. Asked to be refunded but never heard back from the host. This is a horribly rundown and moldy hotel. I would not recommend that anyone stay here.

The listing is fairly misleading. There is no Apple Blossom boutique. It is the welcome inn. The photo in the listing that shows the outside is a rendering and not an actual photo. It does have an air conditioning unit however it has never been cleaned and is full of mold. The shower you have to be very careful adjusting as it gets so hot it steams and the shower curtain was molded as well. There is only one light in the main room and it is nowhere near the beds. There are no mattress protectors on the beds or pillow protectors. We had three sheets and a thin blanket, no type of comforter on either bed. There are also no lights outside of the building so it is very dark at night. It is very disappointing as this place has so much potential but it seems they half finished it and called it good. Unfortunately we had no other option as everything else in Mackinaw and St Ignace was booked due to the festival we were attending. We will not be staying here again and have let people at the festival we attend there every year to avoid this place as well.

Do not stay here

This property was not as advertised. This was not the ā€œApple Blossomā€ it is actually ā€œthe welcome inn.ā€ The outside was run down and the inside was not clean. I did not even take my bags in the room. The smoke detector was beeping nonstop and the bathroom sink had not been cleaned. I unfortunately had to book a room elsewhere. I let the host know I was not going to stay in the property and they argued with me and denied a refund. Very unhelpful and couldnā€™t careless about the state of the property. Read the Google reviews for the Apple blossom as well as the Welcome Inn. If I had done so before booking I would have have went through with booking.

Terrible place. Stay Away!!

Totally misrepresented from the pictures shown. Had electrical problems randomly and the guy that came the second time was obviously smoking weed right before he came in our room at 10:00 pm to bring an extension cord so we could watch tv. Bathroom was disgusting and the tub dropped all night long and you could hear it. Carpet is just nasty and only 2 double beds. The mattressā€™s were so bad my wife and I slept in separate bedā€™s because the mattress was so worn out you couldnā€™t have 2 people in one bed. The deadbolt on the door was on the door but there was no hole in the frame for it to be of any use. The A/C unit is from the 70ā€™s and made loud noises on start up. The outside of the building does not look like the pictures. It is close to downtown but not worth it. It was literally embarrassing for people to see us go in the room knowing thatā€™s where we were staying. Sleep in your car if that place is your only option. Itā€™s not a boutique it literally still has The Welcome Inn sign with the photo shopped painted light house out front. The office has junk piled in it and there are also 2 disgusting dumpsters about 20 feet from the roomā€™s outside doors.

No functioning deadbolt, a lamp by the beds would have been helpful (and for it to turn on with switch near the door).Door to bathroom is very small, was not an issue for me, but for someone with a walker, it would have been impossible to use.
