Small peaceful 2bd/2ba house overlooking downtown Helen. House is situated in downtown Helen next to Unicoi Hill Park and boarders Unicoi State Park. Trail to Unicoi State Park Lodge is right out the back door, take your fishing pole lots of streams along the way.
Nighttime you can settle in the yard chairs and enjoy the view of the downtown lights.
This is right in town and is situated on 4 acres so a lot of privacy but
just a block to downtown Helen.

Loved that they decorated for the holidays. Was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but be within walking distance. The house had coffee supplies for us to use.

This property was perfect for our family fall get away. Everyone had plenty of room and enjoyed all of the outdoor space. We had a fire one night and had fun with the outdoor games. We appreciated the different seating areas outside. The property is close to Helen, and we enjoyed the ease of walking and not driving to town.

Weekend getaway

The home was very easy to locate and check in was very smooth. It was a very cozy stay, the house was clean and tidy. The trail and downtown was within walking distance, we enjoyed there being outdoor activities to do within the home as well. Highly recommend booking here, will most definitely stay here again in the future.

Our annual Mother Daughter Trip 2025 was wonderful here! The location is absolutely perfect. This older home is quaint and charming, and conveniently situated with walkable access to shopping, restaurants and attractions. Nicely decorated, cozy fireplace, in a lovely park like setting. The outdoor space includes a firepit, TV, and screened in patio area. Ideal for those seeking the great outdoors and hiking trails. Many vineyards and wineries close by too. Will definitely return!

Beautiful house in a great location! Walking distance to all of Helen. Everything you need at the house. Pillow top mattresses that were so comfortable! New appliances and outdoor/indoor TVs. Firepit was great to sit and enjoy! Such a good time!

Cozy, private home, easy walk everything.

This is the perfect property nestled just above town. Very easy walk anywhere you want to go and a nature enthusiasts dream. The host were great and do all possible to add any comforts needed. We will be back, loved this beautiful older gem tucked perfectly into Helen GAā€™s history.

Labor day trip to Helen

The property was the perfect location for our weekend getaway. Unbelievable to have such a secluded and private location and basically be right in town! Short walk to everything and great outdoor spaces at the house! Would definitely stay again.

Very cozy place. Nice seating area outside to watch tv. Well lit at carport and back. Last place on the road and felt very private. Weā€™d definitely return to this spot.

When we got there the smoke alarm battery was chirping. The host had one sent over right away. I recommend not arriving in the dark. Itā€™s in a secluded place and it was hard to tell if we were in the right place. It was very nicely decorated for Christmas. The beds were way too hard for me. I slept on the couch. If you donā€™t like hard beds, bring a mattress pad!!! The area is beautiful!!

A great location. House was very clean Far enough away to be out of the hustle bustle but close enough to be able to walk to town. House was set up nicely. We enjoyed sitting on the back patio watching the leaves fall. Would stay here again

Loved the location !

We loved the location of the property surrounding with trees and nature. Loved the short walk to downtown area and to hiking trail that is right outside of the house. One little improvement needed is to fix master bathroom shower drain, water drains very slowly and you end up standing in a pool of water even after quick shower. But we would definitely come again.

This house is in the perfect location for your stay in Helen. Main Street is easily accessible by foot saving you parking fees. It also is at the trailhead for the Unicoi/Helen trail for the hikers. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked if you plan on cooking during your stay. There is both a traditional drip coffee maker and a Keurig. The bathrooms were spacious and towels were abundant and thick and fluffy. Outside, there are comfortable chairs, and an outdoor television on the covered patio, a screened in area with a picnic area, and a firepit with Adirondack chairs. Firewood is also provided. We didn't take advantage of it this trip, but maybe next time.Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and will look to stay here next time we visit.

Secluded getaway

If you're looking for a secluded getaway in a country setting with privacy yet walking distance to Helen this is it. Very nice home set in the middle of 4 acres of woods. At night you can see the Helen lights through the woods. Huge master bed and bath with a King bed and the other bedroom has a queen bed with a bathroom right across the hall.

Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed the location. A short walk down the hill to the restaurants and activities along the main road in Helen. No need to pay the daily parking fee that the town charges. The home was also next to a hiking trail that we took for a portion of the day to a park. The home is adequate with comfortable beds, washer and dryer, but no extras. Bring coffee pods and ground coffee for the keurig and coffee maker and any condiments you want.

Great cabin !

Great clean cabin! Close to downtown and can walk to downtown with no problem! Everything about the cabin was great from the comfortable beds to the living room and kitchen, plus the outside was nice with all the seating and fire pit! The only knock to us was Helen itself, it has changed over the years not quite as nice and clean as it use to be! But if you going to Helen this cabin should be one of the first to pick from with how nice the cabin is and how close it is to downtown but out of the noise up on the hill out but itself!

Amazing house within walking distance of downtown

The house and property were beautiful with games and a fire pit outside. You could see the lights from downtown at night and hear some of the music, but very peaceful. The property owner was very responsive and let us park and check in early so we could start exploring Helen. Thereā€™s a childrenā€™s park at the bottom of the hill and everything downtown is within walking distance. Thereā€™s also a trail through the woods to the park if you want to avoid walking down the road.

Walkable to Downtown Helen

Great location. Easy walk to Main St, cutting through Unicoi Park with all the Christmas lights on, made it seem even shorter. The house was exactly as described and the host even left firewood out for the fire pit. Only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars are some minor annoyances, such as the master bathroom shower door wonā€™t stay closed resulting in having to constantly wipe up water from the floor, the towels were clean but probably time to replace them altogether, and the mattress pad in the master bedroom had a lot of stains on it (we didnā€™t notice until after we stripped the sheets when we left). Again, very please with the home and would stay here again.

This place had a really good outdoor area...however, it is not a block away from downtown like the description states it is. I rented this house specifically because it stated that the walk to downtown was a block away. It is a steep walk down a mountain and up. I was without a ride due to my husband going to work and I could not walk the steep mountain to town with my special needs daughter. We decided just to leave a day early due to the misconception of the walk to town and the second bedroom bed being so uncomfortable...I could not sleep good and every time I turned over...it made such a loud noise that I woke my daughter. We wont be back.
