Secluded lakeside cottage home overlooking a stunning lake with NO MOTORS is a peaceful spot, yet conveniently located 1/2 mile from the shoreline town, beaches, and boardwalk. Come and stay for a weekend, a week or a month. Brand new kitchen, full bathroom, living/dining room, bedroom and living room sliders to large wrap deck, BBQ, and garden. Check Lakeside Bliss on other platforms for competitive rates. Beautyrest hybrid plush mattress, plenty of parking, Wifi, SmartTV. Experienced, gracious, accommodating host.
Kick back and relax in this serene home situated at the edge of a no Motors lake. Beautiful view, abundant bird and wildlife, and stunning sunsets to see as you sit on the wrap around deck or through the two large Sliders in bedroom and living room. Stylish comfortable Queen bedroom, large area for relaxing with a piano, guitar; cozy dining nook. Ktchen is well appointed for your vacation needs. Keurig, pods, sweeteners are provided. Gas grill, bicycles. Comfortable central air for those hot summer nights.
There is a piano you are welcome to use, as well as an acoustic guitar with optional amp. A music stand is available as well as lots of piano sheet music. There is a wood burning fireplace which I prefer not be used by guests unless specifically agreed upon at check in, one Duraflame log only. The host may work in the yard during longer guest stays, and cleaning / linen change is also available during longer stays.
Books, games, puzzles, grown up coloring for rainy days, or ponchos and umbrella for braving rainy days! There are beach towels available to borrow and bath towels which should not be used for beach. Sunrise and sunset both had great views of the lake. Host communicated clearly. We only stayed one night but was lucky enough to relax by the lake.

This was a really great rental that we would definitely love to return to. The view is amazing, and it’s the perfect size for a couple enjoying some time away. There’s a huge wraparound porch and there’s always some part of it that’s shaded throughout the day, which is great. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better, just a 12-minute walk to the Main Street with restaurants and shops (as well as some restaurants and shops along the way on the walk). We had a wonderful time.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Lakeside Bliss this weekend and it was perfect! The location was ideal, close to everything yet secluded enough to be away and enjoy the silence. We played games, road bikes and explored town, enjoyed the breathtaking lake view from comfortable seating, stopped by the casinos to eat and gamble, and so much more. We couldn't have had a better experience. The host was attentive, responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful weekend. The house was also full of so much life and detail in every little corner. We will definitely be returning in the future. Highly recommend this adorable little lake house.

Best VRBO stay everLakeside Bliss is a wonderful rental. The lake view is stunning as seen from the wraparound deck or from inside from the living room and bedroom sliders. To wake each day and look out at that serene view was amazing. The property is accented with lovely gardens. A quiet and peaceful neighborhood which added to the relaxing experience. The house is the cleanest we have ever experienced in a rental property. The house had many upgrades, was beautifully decorated as well as included thoughtful additions to ensure a perfect stay. Katie our host was so helpful and great to talk to. We loved it - we’ll be back!

It was the best stay ever.

I absolutely LOVE this place. I will never stay anywhere else but there when I visit! The owner is absolutely amazing to talk with if any problems happen and so kind. The place is so clean and the neighborhood is fabulous!

I am disappointed in my overall experience with this property. The property was not as advertised. We walked in and immediately smelled stale, damp, moisture laden air. The air quality and stale conditions were confirmed with a sticky note in the bathroom that said, "please open window while showering" as well as damp carpet, sheets, and pillows. As a mother traveling with her daughter, I am not going to open a ground level window in a bathroom in an unfamiliar area for safety purposes. Other sticky notes around the property listing things we cannot do "don't close curtains because of the plants, don't use more than one appliance at a time) seemed very inferior when you are paying $300 a night. The smoke detector beeped every hour throughout the night. I am led to believe that the authenticity of the reviews are highly questionable given these sub par conditions and I will not recommend this property.

First and last impressions

It was awesome to be able to stay here! The piano was great, though it should maybe be tuned sometime soon... The beer in the fridge was absolutely unnecessary for us but the BBQ sauce and mustard was great!! Would highly recommend to anyone else!!

Truley blissful

I rented this cottage for my son and his new bride on their wedding weekend. It was very cozy and clean. The deck overlooking the lake was a beautiful spot for them to relax and unwind after their big day. Katie was an amazing host, she responded and easy to reach at all times.reachreach. quickly.

We Will Go Back

I cannot say enough great things about our stay. First, the property is as described but even better in person! The lake views out the sliding glass doors in the living room and bedroom are magnificent. Binoculars are available so that you can watch the wildlife close-up. Second, if you play the piano or guitar, you will LOVE this place. Both are available for use, with an abundance of sheet music at varying levels. What a joy to play looking out over a beautiful lake. Third, the host (Katie) has anticipated your every need. Board and card games, books, puzzles, coloring books, local information, a well-stocked TV, etc. SOOO many pleasant and relaxing ways to spend a vacation. Fourth, communication with Katie is superb, both before and during your stay. DEFINITELY try this fabulous place. My husband is already asking for a trip next year! Fifth, we LOVED the community. The small downtown is only a few blocks away, and there are a number of wonderful restaurants to visit. If you enjoy reading, there is a FABULOUS used and rare bookstore (the Book Barn) nearby. It is totally unlike any bookstore we have ever visited, and we in fact, went twice Kids are welcome, and there are lots of special things to keep them busy there. Finally, have I mentioned Niantic's boardwalk, its proximity to more touristy Mystic, and lobster galore? It is just a marvelous, relaxing place, and probably my favorite VRBO to date.

Lakeside Bliss

Online picture lead me to believe the rental unit was a cottage which in fact was a house with one bedroom. A note indicated that we could not draw a curtain in the bedroom. No instructions were left regarding how to operate the television which seems to operate on a streaming service. On the plus side, close to the various beaches and the local town to purchase food. The house was clean.

Peaceful, quiet getaway!

This was a very relaxing, peaceful location in a well appointed and clean rental with a very responsive, kind, and accommodating host. And the property was even larger inside than it looked in the photos, which is usually not the case. All in all a very positive experience and if we are in the area again, we will definitely return! Oh, and silly me, I forgot to mention the amazing views on Dodge Pond!

It really is blissful

We had a wonderful time at this lovely house. Its lakeside view is lovely. It's a short walk to downtown Niantic and its restaurants and shopping area. Katie was a great host, and the property was clean and up to date. We would gladly stay there again.

Beautiful Place

We stayed here to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary. Lakeside bliss is the perfect way to describe this cozy home with an incredible view. The house was very clean and bright, and in addition to the gorgeous view of the lake, we were entertained by the wildlife in the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back!

Perfect cozy getaway

The house was very clean and the check-in process was smooth. The owner helped us find places nearby to dine and we really enjoyed the local amenities. We were within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. We absolutely loved the view of the lake. Two swans even came up to the shoreline near the house. A great location for bird viewing; binoculars were provided. We especially love the back deck and the private setting. It was a wonderful getaway for our anniversary!

Relaxing spot on the water

We had a very nice stay at this property even though the weather didn’t cooperate. Close to the beach and excellent restaurants. Katie was very easy to work with and the place was very clean and in a quiet neighborhood.Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone seeking a peaceful getaway.
