Perfect Location

Always a great stay. I arrived a day late due to airline strikes but Owners worked it out for me. Property is nice and quiet, everything works. Kitchen is handy for meals, and grocery is across the street. Subway stop gets you everywhere fast. Highly recommended!

Fabulous location and well equipped

I stayed here for a little over two months and could not have been happier with my choice. The location - across the street from an UBahn station and small grocery store, with several charming places to eat or grab a coffee within a block, within blocks of the KuDamm, zoo and Tiergarten plus several large department stores - was perfect. I was traveling alone and felt very safe the whole time. The apartment itself is cozy and well equipped. This proved a wonderful home base for my Berlin adventure. Thanks, Liz!

Large Flat, Great Location

The flat was exactly as advertised. Nothing fancy, but extremely clean and great location. Grocery store and metro access right across the street. Although I did not get to meet the owner, Liz, in person, she was very accessible via messages and phone and quick to respond. I would definitely stay in this place again on my next visit to Berlin.

Tout va donc bien, Ć  la condition que vous ne voua attendiez pas Ć  discuter, mĆŖme quelques secondes, avec la propriĆ©taire, en allemand ou pas : elle n'habite manifestement pas Ć  Berlin, ne vous envoie que des courriels standard et ne s'intĆ©resse qu'Ć  votre date de dĆ©part. great flat, great location, great service

The flat has everything as advertised. Not too fancy, but all I needed for a comfortable month stay. Before arriving I was slightly unsure about the location, but it is practically on top of the u-bahn that took me directly where I needed to go in 10 minutes, and just a few steps to shopping and a few more steps to go out in Schoenberg. There was a slight hiccup at check-in, but only because my flightā€™s arrival was at an early hour, and the usual assistant with keys would be unable to meet me, so a neighbor had been asked to fill-in. Upon arriving, I experienced a minute of worried uncertainty when no one answered the buzzer, but neighbors in the building were quick to notice and assist me, even letting me store my luggage in one of their apartments. And no sooner had I deposited my bags, when the "fill-in" keyholder arrived to save the day. So what began as a potential problem was quickly resolved and serves to commend the owner's willingness to work with my schedule and the neighbors' unexpected and very gracious assistance. What's more, my flight home had a late departure at 22:00, and despite the official check-out time, I was allowed to stay in the apartment until leaving for TXL at 19:30. Most generous and much appreciated. Service above and beyond the call of duty...

One of the Best Locations in West Berlin really is the BEST!

We loved our trip to Berlin!! The apartment was wonderful and was in the perfect location. The apartment had everything we needed and was so much nicer than staying in a hotel. We rented bikes for the entire time we were in Berlin so only used the U and S Bahns a couple of times. When we did, it was great having the station just steps away from the apartment. We shopped at Nettos, the corner store, several times. So nice, handy, and inexpensive. The restaurants within walking distance of the apartment are fantastic! There is lots of shopping close by as well. We loved bicycling through the city, seeing the sites, and learning the history. It was an awesome trip! We are grateful to Liz for letting us rent the apartment and being so easy to communicate with. Our sincerest thanks! Jane and Ed

All the comforts you need

We had a wonderful two weeks stay at Lizā€™s apartment near Kudamm. Unlike so many apartments where we have stayed, her apartment had everything we needed, not to mention having a subway station, a grocery store, a pharmacy and several restaurants right next door. We were two blocks from the famous Kudamm with sights, shops, restaurants, and transportation galore. Location, location, location! There was street parking availlable for our rental car daily as well. Than you, Liz, for anticipating the needs of visitors to your beautiful city and providing them with all the comforts of home!

A Great Berlin Hideaway!

Location of the apartment was excellentā€¦a 10 minute walk from ā€œZoologisher Gartenā€ city transportation stop. A convenience store, three restaurants, and a couple small cafes right outside the front door. Quiet friendly neighbors in the apartment building. Washing machine in the apt a real plus. Elevator great for luggage. The apartment is on a very busy city street so expect noises into the evening hours. Darker pull drapes would have made the sunshine factor better. If in Berlin again (a great city!) we would rent this property again. Liz (the owner) was good at keeping in contact and providing helpful information.

What a gem!

This place was absolutely perfect! Away from the busyness of Berlin-a very lovely and peaceful area of Berlin close to an underground that takes you anywhere you want to go, and only one block walk to lots of shopping, eating, etc. The balcony overlooking the quiet boulevard was our favorite place to sit at sunset. The apartment has everything you need including a washing machine. Absolutely recommend this place,

Lovely Apartment in a wonderful location!

My daughter and I stayed in the apartment for a week, and we LOVED it. The space had everything we needed, and was quite comfortable. The location was perfect! Close to U-bahn, trains, shopping and lots of restaurants, but on a side street, so there wasn't a lot of noise. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you! Karen

phantastic

phantastic located in the middle of Berlin-West we enjoyed a few weeks in this appartment. Busses, U-Bahn and the famous KurfĆ¼rstendamm - all nearby! we are a family of 3, enough space for us in this appartment. It is fully equipped, we did not miss anything. I did not expect that I could sleep that good there in the City, no noises from the street! If we visit Berlin again I will book this appartment! the procedere is very easy and pleasent, the friendly neighbour gave us the keys- that`s it.

Comfortable apartment and perfect location

Everything about our stay went to plan and the apartment is exactly as described in one of the best locations in Berlin. No complaints whatsoever - bed very comfortable, kitchen well equipped and some essentials to start you off such as tea/coffee. It's also great to be able to take breakfast on the balcony and watch the world go by. The owner Liz was also very easy to deal with and helpful. Will definitely use the property again.

Clean, comfy, convenient

I stayed at this property for a month and everything was fantastic. The apartment was clean and had a kitchen with an stove, refrigerator, sink , and stocked with dishes and silverware. The bedroom was a good size and the living room area. Sitting on the balcony was enjoyable since the weather was very nice. Wifi and washing machine worked fine. Although it did get a little hot outside, the apartment is situated so that a nice breeze always comes in when the windows are open. The UBahn station, aka subway, is right across the street. There are plenty of stores and shopping a couple of blocks away as well as restaurants. The owner, Liz, always was prompt with answering any questions and very easy to work with. I would definitely stay again!

Home away from home:indeed!

Stunning location, great for tourists as it is very close to all main attractions. Transportation to all parts of the city cannot be better; subway, bus as well as S-Bahn. Our third time we had been there and hopefully for many, many more. Looking forward to next year! Christel

Perfect Location!!

You can't ask for a better location. There is an U-Bahn station across the street, next to it is a small grocery store, a block away is a parking garage, and you are one block from the Kudamm. Although it is located in the middle of town, the street is very quiet. The balcony is perfect for having a drink and relaxing. Liz is very helpful and answered all of our questions. You can't go wrong with this rental.

Stunning!!! Outstanding location, top rating

Could not been a better choice. Tiergarten very close for running/working out, restaurants, shopping and grocery stores right there! Weekly farmer market,high-end shopping-everything at your finger tips, including subway station. Only sour note: construction going on right in front of building, but will be done at the end of 2013.

Definately stay here!

This unit is perfect. Lots of room and very very clean. Very quiet building and the neighborhood is the best! you have a U station steps away and the little grocery store that is across the street has everything and is cheap. I have stayed at 2 other Homeaway units and as much as I liked them they don't compare to this. Liz is very professional as well. If I were to rent a hotel room it wouldn't come close to this and it would cost much more. I highly recommend and it was my first time to Berlin from Canada so staying here was a nice little comfort because it felt a bit like home (since I was traveling alone).

It's the best! Plus a balcony, great kitchen

We just spent a great week in Berlin and this little condo is the main attraction! We booked while traveling in holland the owners were a treat to work with, it's a bit more complicated trying to make last minute arrangements, these owners were wonderful! There are great grocery stores close and a world of food choices within 5 minutes of the condo. The condo is clean, the photos on VRBO give you a good picture of the place. We will stay with them again soon! Charlie& Sue

Location, Location, Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Berlin and part of the experience was this apartment. The location is fantastic, a metro entrance right outside your door. A market across the street, but we also used the food floor in the Karstadt department store, lots of selection and a block away. It is clean and bright, and has all the things needed for comfort.

Wonderful!

Great spacious apartment, in a convenient location, perfect for two. We shopped at the grocery store across the street and were able to get around the city with ease thanks for the U-bahn station nearby. The housekeeper met us and showed us around the apartment so we felt comfortable. The only drawback was that the internet wasn't working for us. Overall a fantastic experience and we hope to come back to Berlin to stay here again soon.

The Location is Perfect

This apartment is spacious and well equipped for a week's stay. It is modern and clean, light, and well maintained. You get cleaning products and enough towels to last without having to skimp. The location is unbeatable for the price. There are restaurants and cafes nearly and a grocery store across the way to buy food to cook if you are tired of eating out. It is within walking distance to the bus stop that will take you to the airport. If you buy a bus pass for the week it works for the airport as well so it's like it's free to get there and back if you are quick enough to buy the pass from the airport on your way in. The only thing is that the pillows and mattress might require getting use to if you are from North America. It worked ok for us, though. It was easy to deal with the owners and getting in was not a problem. Berlin is a lovely city to visit and it's nice to have your own home for the week.
