The drive to A Rustic Hideout is part of the mountain experience. The final few miles feature a scenic gravel road with beautiful views, gentle curves, and changing elevations as you make your way up the mountain.

Most guests arrive without any issues and enjoy the journey as much as the destination. For added confidence during heavy rain, snow, or nighttime arrivals, AWD or 4WD is recommended.

To make your arrival as smooth as possible, I provide detailed turn-by-turn directions before check-in. Many guests find these especially helpful for spotting key landmarks and enjoying the drive up the mountain.

*** Pets
Dogs are welcome at "A Rustic Hideout"!Up to two small dogs are allowed, and I am happy to consider larger dogs upon request. A pet fee applies. To help keep the cabin comfortable for all guests, I kindly ask that pets stay off beds and furniture.

*** What’s Provided
The cabin is thoughtfully stocked to help you settle in comfortably from the moment you arrive.
You will find:

* Fully equipped kitchen with stainless-steel appliances
* Keurig and traditional coffee makers
* Cookware, dishes, utensils, and grilling essentials
* Linens, towels, soaps, and a starter supply of paper goods
* Washer & dryer
* Central heat and air conditioning

For longer stays or specialty items, I recommend picking up groceries, firewood, and personal essentials in Ellijay before heading up the mountain.

*** Mountain Road Access
Part of the charm of staying in the North Georgia mountains is the scenic drive leading to the cabin.
The final few miles are a winding gravel mountain road with elevation changes, curves, and a few bumpy sections typical of the area. Most guests navigate it comfortably by taking their time and using low gear when needed. AWD/4WD is recommended during periods of heavy rain, snow, or nighttime arrival.
