We designed and built our White Salmon Retreat to be a family-friendly, pet-friendly, and therapeutic space set in the trees where your soul can find some rest and relaxation. Our Retreat is surrounded by mature Fir, Oak, and Maple trees, and frequented by the local wild life. We are so excited to share this space with you. Fully stocked kitchen! The restroom is spacious and elegant and feels like a spa! Deck with fire pit table and gas grill. Brand new Nectar mattress is SOOO COMFORTABLE!
The space
My 8 kids and I built our guest house White Salmon Retreat from June 2021 to April 2022. It was such a joy so work with my kids most days and really put our hearts and souls into this project. Our prayer is that when you stay in our Retreat you feel rested, refreshed, and encouraged! You can see pics of the construction in our photo gallery:)!

I use only All Natural 7th Generation cleaners, dish washer detergent, soap, and laundry soap in our Retreat. No harmful chemicals.

If you are Gluten Free or Vegan please let me know because I would love to set snacks and treats for you that will work:)

Early Check-in (as early as 1:00pm) and late check-out (as late as 3:00pm) is available for an extra $20. Please message me if you’re interested in this!

Our Guest House Retreat is a second story facility with a full kitchen, full bathroom with a washer and dryer for doing laundry and a bedroom with a very comfortable queen mattress, dresser, and recliner. The great room has a couch, chair and a 55” Roku tv. You are welcome to log into any of your streaming subscriptions and watch:). We have a dining table with 4 chairs.

Sleeping arrangements

Bedroom:
Queen bed - sleeps 2 adults
Pack and play - sleeps 1 infant/toddler
Toddler bed - sleeps 1/toddler

Living room:
Sofa - sleeps 1 adult or child
Twin Air Mattress - sleeps 1 adult or child

If someone wanted to sleep on a cot on the deck under the stars or in a tent that would be ok too:)


The kitchen is equipped with every amenity I could think of and if you have a request for something please let me know and I am happy to provide it. The WIFI is very fast and consistent! The windows all have faux wood blinds for privacy and there is a curtain to draw across the sliding glass door for privacy. The refrigerator has an ice maker.
I stock the fridge with bottled waters and fresh eggs. The cabinets are stocked with various coffees, creamers, hot cocoa, teas, instant oatmeal, and all the cooking items you may need:). The deck has a new gas grill and fire pit table with two chairs for a surreal relaxing environment amongst the trees and wildlife:). The hummingbirds love to visit our feeders all throughout the day.

We are 2 minutes from Wet Planet and River Drifters Rafting guide services in Husum, 5 minutes from the Tin Roof Barn venue, 10 minutes from down town White Salmon and 15 minutes from down town Hood River:)!

Our Retreat is the second story of this building. The stairs to acces it are on the right side of the building. The shop underneath is a storage shop that I use but hardly ever need to access.
Other things to note
Our neighborhood is very peaceful:). We have neighbors with young kids and so we hope for quiet hours from 8pm to 7am. Any normal activities are totally fine but just want to avoid any loud music or other noises that would be off putting.
