Inn the Heart of McCloud ~

Start your day with coffee on the porch overlooking a meadow, enjoy the sun coming up as it lights up the Mountain. This home is jusit a few blocks form the center of town, with it's galleries, and shops. The home has been completely refurbished just a few years ago, it is bright and sunny.
Original refinished fir floors complement the living and dinning room. The interior is tastefully decorated, and is very inviting.
The Kitchen has the original sugar pine counters, and comes fully equipped with all that is needed to host a large crowd. A BBQ is situated on the back porch and the patio area is ready for the event.
Washer and dryer is on site. One of the baths offers a claw foot tub, while the other has a marble shower, and a stained glass window that illuminates the room with dancing colored light.
This is centrally located in the heart of McCloud, close to all of the galleries and shops. It is also only a short stroll away from Hoo Hoo park where you can enjoy the day playing Bocci Ball on the brand new Bocci Ball Courts.

Cute older home

Overall we had a nice stay at the house. Do be prepared that it is an older home so there are some things that are a little quirky about it. The beds were comfortable and it was clean.

Beautiful Home with Great Amenities

We stayed for a couple nights, and the host was very easy to communicate with. It was a great spot to meet friends with a nice backyard area and it is a short walk to town. Parking is convenient and views of Mt. Shasta are stunning. I would definitely stay here again next time we make the trip to McCloud!

Chasing Waterfalls in NorCa

The house is charming and comfortable. It was very neat and clean. We used it as our ā€œbase campā€ and were able to visit 8 waterfalls on our trip. The host was easy to work with and left clear instructions regarding the house. The house was chocked full of beautiful antiques and cool knick knacks which added to the charm and homey feeling. We would stay here again and will recommend it to our friends.

Quiet comfortable home

This little house is conveniently located about a 4 minute walk from the McCloud Hotel where our meeting was held. We enjoyed the peaceful neighborhood and the quaint decor. The owner was very responsive to all our requests and very easy to work with.

Perfect house for our family

This home was perfect for our stay in McCloud. Plenty of everything for cooking at home and sitting outside at the fire pit was great family time. Walking distance to everything in town.

This home was very clean and neat. We found it equipped with every thing we could possibly need for our stay. It was just a step out the back door and across the street to our event at the Mercantile. We will be back!

House is well decorated and cozy. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. Surrounding scenery is very beautiful and offers some nice hiking to the falls. We really enjoyed our evenings visiting around the fire in the backyard. A very nice trip.

Charming and comfortable

My husband and I enjoyed our annual trip to McCloud and this sweet home. A view of Mt Shasta out back was a nice bonus. The home was stocked with kitchen tools needed to make cooking simple. Close walk to downtown, very peaceful, and the owner was quick to reply to questions and even allowed us to arrive early. Very reasonably priced for offering so many beds and large, homey space. Loved it!

Comfortable and homey

We spent 3 nights in this beautiful home during a major atmospheric storm. Unfortunately we were not able to do all the outdoor stuff we had planned but luckily we were able to comfortably relax, cook, sleep, play games, watch TV in this very cute house. We loved the decorations and antique furniture. We had a very nice stay.

McCloud memories

Our stay was very nice. The location was perfect. The house was comfortable except at night the bedrooms were warm would have been nice to have fans in the rooms. Also the shower nozzle it would be nice to have had a removable handle. Overall it was a wonderful stay. We enjoyed our time in McCloud.

A nice little visit home

Very nice and cozy place to call home for a few days. Well stocked kitchen (in terms of pots and pans, plates, flatware, etc.) Beautiful, large backyard that we did get any use of because it was winter, but would be lovely in the summer. Thanks!

Charming Comfortable Home

This house was even nicer than pictured in the photos. The connected living room and dining room created a nice big open space to eat and hang out. The beds were very comfortable and the house contained everything we needed. The location is wonderful. You can easily walk to all the businesses in McCloud. And it is an easy drive to all the best local hiking. I highly recommend this property.

Memorial Day Weekend Fun

Pictures do not do justice to this vacation gem. The house is laid out in the perfect way for a group celebrating (in this case a birthday) and the kitchen lends itself to the cooks engaging in conversation with other guests at the island bar. Many of the furnishings are good quality antiques and the decor is warm and cozy. The clawfoot tub was a real treat and we enjoyed the front porch, luxuriating in the Spring green, verdant growth of trees and flowers all around.

We had a great stay, but the house had no hot water. We all took cold showers and a couple of did not shower as it was just too cold. We didnā€™t even have warm water to wash the dishes we used.

Fiddlers Rest

This home was exactly what we were looking for when we booked. The home was very spacious and had plenty of room for our group of 5. The backyard was great with the table, chairs, and fire pit. The location was perfect. Only a few minutes walk from the Mercantile, museum, coffee and outdoor shop, and Frosty. I can not stay enough how peaceful this location was. No noise whatsoever. I highly recommend the Simpsons home for your next stay. I will try and book here again for our next trip.

This was a first visit to the Shasta area and a first family vacation together. Overall we were pleased and comfortable with this home , but we also noticed right away that it wasnā€™t what the pictures led us to believe.
