Welcome to Moonlite Retreat, You're waterfront entrance to all Florida outdoors. Moonlite Retreat is located in the waterfront community of Sportsman Harbor within the quaint Town of Welaka. Centrally located along the St. Johns River, Moonlite Retreat is 100 yards from the main channel and 500 yards from Welaka Spring.

Come sip a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise over your private boathouse from the comfort of your private screen porch. Then leave from your boathouse and explore all the St. Johns River has to offer. Welaka is a golf cart friendly community and a perk of renting is your very own golf cart to get around town or enjoy a meal at one of the local bars/restaurants..

Family get away!

This property lived up to its description. Lynn goes above and beyond to make your visit very comfortable. Comfortable beds and nice, thick bath towels! Great communication with Lynn, the home owner. The golf cart was a great plus! We will definitely rent again!

Awesome Retreat

The place was clean, more than well stocked with supplies and had every pot, pan, and utensils one could wish for. The hosts were over accomidating and so nice. Best VRBO experience yet. We will return at a later date.

St. John’s canal retreat

Nice, clean, quiet and a good neighborhood. I recommend this location. We didn’t fish but this would be excellent for a fishing trip on the river.

Comfortable Get-Away

This rental provided everything we needed to enjoy a comfortable stay. The rental was very clean with fresh decor. Coffee on the screened porch in the mornings and listening to the evening sounds at night added to the relaxed vibe. We appreciated having a golf cart to use and took advantage of it to explore the neighborhood. Our hosts were very responsive. Free ice and use of their cast net when we forgot ours speaks of southern hospitality at its best!

Amazing!

We loved our stay at Moonlite! Its a very charming little home in a quite little neighborhood. Our favorite parts was the accessible golf cart to ride around Welaka and the access to the water! We will definitely be coming back again!

Moonlite Retreat

Lynn and Glenn are the perfect Host. The property is sparkling clean and the cutest in Sportsman Harbor! We loved how it's decorated, and all the touches Lynn and Glenn have added! Sitting on the porch catching up with old friends when it cools down is priceless. The dock and sink for cleaning fish is priceless! Hopefully we'll be back soon. Having the golf cart available is a great.

Enjoying the St Johns River

Property on a canal on the St Johns River. Has a nice boat house and cleaning station if you're fishing. Wonderful community and nice neighbors. Owners had property set up with all your needs. Wonderful stay.

Perfect Retreat!

This is The Best vrbo we have ever stayed in! It was spotlessly clean and inviting. Bed, living room, and screened porch furniture were all very comfortable (this has not been the case in our other experiences when we had to spend our time at the kitchen table because the other furniture was so ghastly!) All the amenities a visitor could ask for -- truly. Good example: not only was there the ever-popular Keurig, but also, for us old folks, a Mr. Coffee was available. The hosts had thought of everything to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. No holes in the screened in porch to let varmints in, no inoperable outlets or lights, a steady supply of hot water. Even a splatter cover for use in the microwave (we have always had to use the one we carry with us!) Hosts are nearby and very attentive to any needs. The only negative was the tv option: we don't watch much tv except before bed, and the available channels were sparse--no game show or old television show channels to wind down. Since we were mainly out on the water or playing cards/games, this was not really much more than an inconvenience at bedtime. Otherwise, the Moonlite Retreat is the perfect vacation spot for this couple, and we hope to be back soon! Canal is easy to maneuver; the dock easily accessible, and has actual working lights, power source, and running water! Again, not common. You can see (and enjoy) all the attention paid to the maintenance of this property. Many Kudos to the hosts!!

Labor Day/Birthday weekend
