Large Modern 3 Bedroom Home w/Lake Views, Decks Galore and Firepit

Welcome to Margaret House. The latest addition to the Occupied Incorporated family of short term rental homes. This two level home boasts fantastic lake views, four outdoor decks/patios, fire pit, two family rooms and enough space to be separate when the time comes.

We are walking distance to three public lake access points and a short bike ride to Spring Lake's Lakeside beach. We are surrounded by bike trails and a short trip to Central Park. Grand Haven's beaches are a short 10 min drive.

Master bedroom is on the main level with lake views and attached outdoor deck. The 2nd bedroom is on the lower level with a bathroom right across the hall. The third bedroom is on the main level and has lake views. Guests have access to the entire home with the exception of the unfinished basement spaces.

Fantastic house - well equipped and maintained with all the welcoming bits that make it feel like a house and not just a transient spot. Great location in Spring Lake and an attached garage for winter parking that just barely squeezes in a Ford F-150 truck. Easy to get everywhere and comfortable - no leaky windows or drafts - very cozy. Thank you for a great stay.

A very beautiful home that was decorated so nice. Easy directions to get in to the home and to vacate the home. Had no problems during my stay so didn't have to communicate with the owner during this time. Before I arrived, did communicate with the owner and got a "speedy" response. Would definitely stay here again, maybe in the spring or summer so I could enjoy the deck and outside amenities.

What an absolutely beautiful property! We were in town celebrating my moms 80th so we spent most of our time in the home and it was the perfect cozy escape for us all. Coming from California, I especially liked the surf inspired room on the side of the house where all of the dappled light falls throughout the day. It also had the best view of the lake from that room. This house has everything you need and then some. We loved all of the vintage inspired decorations and it truly felt like a home away from home! The owner was available for last minute questions, even when I thought it was too late at night. He was super responsive and checked in midway to make sure we were alright. I would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend.

Beautiful Home in a Peaceful Neighborhood

My family of 6 stayed here for a few nights and everyone found it very comfortable. Lots of natural light, beds were great, nice bathrooms / showers, and decorated beautifully with so many cool interesting things. Frederick was great and gave us thorough instructions for check in / out which was very easy.The neighborhood is peaceful and surrounded by Spring Lake. Excellent for walks and bike rides on the trail. There is a small beach nearby with a safe spot for kids to swim. Grand Haven is an easy 10 min drive. Good value. We would stay here again!

Great home in a perfect location

Very clean, no major issues and the house is cute and well appointed. Great access to Spring Lake and Grand Haven, in a quiet community. Perfect for attending events at Spring Lake Country Club. Host communicated quickly on my questions. Good for guests to know that the only full bathroom on the main floor (master bedroom en suite) does not have a door, though it’s visually tucked around a corner, and there’s a half bath in the main floor as well. We were able to easily coordinate showers for the two couples staying in the main floor so not an issue for us. I would recommend the space and would stay again.

Wonderful

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very clean, luxury feel. Cute little road to walk around. Only thing lacking was those lake views, but it was a cute house near the lake!

Absentee Landlord

We used the property for just a few hours but it made a big impression on me. First, the neighborhood was lovely and we met some friendly neighbors walking their dogs. First impression of the house itself was off as instead of flowers in the flower box on the house, there were dead sticks. Lots of them. Upon entering the house, we noticed it was clean but the house seemed older. It was NOT modern as described.. more rustic Before we got there the landlord had offer to take $15 off of the cleaning fee if we were to wash and dry the towels. We were planning on leaving early in the morning so I told him we wouldn’t have time to dry them. Upon seeing the tired, old, hard towels in the bathroom we decided to go out and buy new towels We bought fluffy new towels and used them instead, not touching his towels except for one in the powder room. When I got to my room downstairs, I noticed that the sheets weren’t clean. There were some spots on the sheets and a hair on them. I slept in them anyway because I was tired. The next morning we were out by 8:15. I informed the owner that all was well. We didn’t use his towels and tat my sheets were dirty. The only response he sent me wasn’t an apology but to insist they go through strict cleaning process. I didn’t say they weren’t washed just not washed well enough to get the spots (and hair?) out. Overall, the stay was fine but people who don’t know how to communicate shouldn’t rent their home.

Great family retreat

My brother, my father and I had a wonderful time staying at this lake view house. We enjoyed spending a lot of time on the deck in the evenings. We also enjoyed walking over to the lake on multiple occasions which was easy to do. The house was beautiful & very comfortable. Impeccably clean too. Highly recommend staying here. I will if I have an opportunity.
