Stargazer MCA#251-Pacific Ocean and Neahkahnie mountain views await you at this contemporary beach house with lots of living space! Less than 1/2 block down the street from the beach access point and the same distance to the first tee at the public golf course. Easy 1/2 mile walk to the center of town. There is so much to do in and around Manzanita - from relaxing on the beach (Beach chairs not provided), where you can build a fire and roast marshmallows, to horseback riding in the state park, to crabbing in the Nehalem bay. There are fantastic surfing and hiking opportunities too.

The house has four levels (7 steps between each level) with two bedrooms. The master bedroom (1 King bed) is on the second level and has an attached bathroom with a combination shower and a "bubble" tub. There is a slider out to the back deck from this room as well.

The second bedroom is a private sleeper nook (1 queen bed) in the loft (4th level), completely enclosed with sliding glass doors and privacy curtains. In addition to the King and queen beds, there is a queen sleeper sofa in the loft (4th level), and a rec room (ground level) with couch that converts to a twin size bed. The second full bathroom (with shower stall) is located in the loft. There are air mattresses (Q, T, T) available for the rec room as well, stored in the master bedroom closet.

There are three ROKU-enabled TVs, two with blue-ray DVD players (loft and rec room). The house is fully equipped with WiFi. The living / dining room (3rd level) has a wood-burning fireplace. From here you can access the front deck with views of the ocean and Neahkahnie mountain.

Each room has it's own heater to allow you to set the heat to your comfort. The house also has an AC unit in the living room. The 2nd level kitchen was beautifully remodeled in the spring of 2019. It has an electric cooktop and oven, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster - plus lots of cookware.

The house has two decks - one on the front with views of the ocean and a gas grill and one on the back.. In addition, there is lots of parking - with room for up to four cars.

It was clean, user-friendly, close to everything (beach, town, Manzanita Links), and even had a pretty good view of the ocean from the front porch and living room. We had an issue with the wifi, which Sunset to Sunset jumped on immediately and got it fixed. You guys are total pros. We'll see you next summer!

Short walk to beach

The Stargazer was a great beach house for our Labor Day weekend. Smaller than we expected but perfect for the 4 of us. Kitchen was well stocked and plenty of blankets for those cozy nights on the deck. We loved being just a short walk to the beach! We will be back!

Great location. Excellent access to the beach. Quick walk to downtown. Kitchen is funky layout. Refrigerator compressor is going bad and makes a bunch of noise.

They have made our stay perfect from the very beginning helping to book a home and then while we were there, any questions at all that we had they were right there to answer. We visited their beautiful office just to say hello and meet them in person. This home Stargazer was a perfect place for us. It was clean and very comfortable. A fun home to stay in, the three levels giving anyone privacy if they needed it. Stepping out onto the deck, you can see the ocean, a perfect place to relax and enjoy... sitting in the Adirondack chairs watching the sunset was beautiful. Walking down to the beach so peaceful and a beautiful view. We will definitely return to this home.

Perfect location and layout for adults & kids!

Loved it and would definitely stay there again! Kids loved nook bedroom on the top level of the house. Great split-level layout, very well equipped and spotless. Love the dining area and great use of natural light. Slight issue getting into house at check-in but Mary-Pat quickly helped us work around it. Quick walk and access to the beach. Great instructions and check-out process. Thank you Mary-Pat for a wonderful stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Two of us enjoyed this house just a few blocks to the beach and a short walk to town. It has a unique layout. 3 floors with a few stairs in between but also an open plan. The kitchen is new, but you do have to carry your food about 5-6 steps to the dining table. Though there are no stairs between the kitchen level, one bedroom and bath, and the back deck - where you can eat outside out of the wind. The main shower or ā€œbubble bathā€ is good, once you can get your legs over the tub rim, which is a little deep. Iā€™m sure we would go back to this house. It would also be good on a more blustery day because the windows are good and bright both in the front and on the top level. The Sunset to Sunset rentals was excellent to rent from, and more personal than the 3rd party rental companies. I highly recommend this house (if stairs are not a problem) and the rental company.

Christmas Beach Trip Turned House Camping

The place is warm, comfy, and up to date in all the ways that matter. The proximity to the ocean is perfect and you can hear the washes crash with all the windows closed, that is unless rain is flying sideways in 60 mph winds. My family and I arrived at the house on 12/26, right before a massive winter storm. The power went out on the first night but came back online in a few hours. The second day, the power went out at 1PM and didnā€™t come back on until 9 PM the next day. The entire area was without power, meaning all restaurants and stores were closed, except for the grocery store on 101. The road south was flooded and Cannon Beach was 35 minutes north. Needless to say, this was not the vacation we were expecting. It was the vacation that we needed, though. Power was out, internet down, even cell service slow to the extent that it was inaccessible. The house was stocked with lots of warm blankets, flashlights, and a wood-burning stove. During the day there was lots of natural sunlight through the multitude of windows for us to play flames and read books. At night we cozied by the fire in the stove. Everyone unplugged from the screens and, while not without challenges, was quite pleasant and relaxing. If the house had not been so inviting, this trip would have been a nightmare. Our host was responsive and friendly and even offered a refund for our last night of 3. At that point, however, we were not willing to leave. All said, it was a great trip and we would definitely visit again.

Thanksgiving at the Beach

This was a great house for a few family members who joined us at the beach for Thanksgiving. Guests loved the modern well stocked house and proximity to the beach. Also close to the golf course for fun. We will rent again!

Excellent views and location

We enjoyed the view from the deck and the excellent beach access right at the end of the block. The location is convenient to shops and restaurants. The appliances were state of the art, and the mattresses were extremely comfortable. The soaker/bubble tub in the primary bathroom was also a treat.

Great location and easy access

We had a wonderful time at this property. The only drawbacks were most of the cookware was very worn and not ideal to cook with and the only access is on the bottom level through one of the sleeping areas. Otherwise it was exactly what we expected
