Great spot for a quick weekend family getaway. We loved the hot tub and the mini pool table. The description and comments about the spiral staircase is spot-on too…it’s a tight fit! Beds were comfy, beach towels for the hot tub a nice surprise too.

We stayed at this property over the weekend and had a generally enjoyable experience. The home itself was beautifully decorated and had a really unique and inviting setup. The amenities were fantastic especially the updated pool table.Unfortunately, there were several maintenance issues that took away from what otherwise could have been an exceptional stay.- Propane: The propane tanks were nearly empty upon our arrival.- Hot Water: There were issues with the hot water all encompassing, including the upstairs shower not having hot water at all and with 5 people showering, that was a major downfall!- Bathroom Faucet: The upstairs faucet sprayed water toward you when turned on.- Cleanliness: We noticed trash and debris underneath the beds, and the bathroom rugs appeared dingy and dirty. Downstairs bathtub was cool but the iron residue needs cleaned. We have the same issue with our house, but Wink Rust Stain Remover is a fix- Hot Tub: Although the hot tub was a great amenity to have, the water was murky, which was disappointing.- Bedroom Lighting: The bedroom light wasn't functioning, seemingly due to a dead remote battery, and there were no spare batteries available.- Linens: There were only 3 washcloths and 5 people staying at the property for 2 days. Overall, this property has so much potential! With some additional attention to routine maintenance, cleanliness, and ensuring everything is in working order between guests, this could easily be a five-star experience.

Very cute and creative atmosphere. Nice and clean. Our host was easy to communicate with. The sprial staircase is adorable but narrow. The spiral staircase is the only way to access the upstairs from the inside. Awesome hot tub!

Sisters weekend

The inside of the home was nice and decorated well and clean. Wish there was a more comfy area for us to sit and hang out. It was hard getting luggage in and down the narrow spiral staircase. The owner was always prompt when contacting and gave great recommendations on areas to visit. All in all the house was good, but the exterior could use some love.

Review

The house is very cute and open. The pictures are not all accurate (pool table, back yard, lake view). The spiral staircase was very hard to get up and down for most adults. I was in contact with Rachel about a few damages in the house at check in. Otherwise we had a great time and the house had plenty of room.

Our photos are very recent and accurate. We do have a pool table, a second floor lake view, and a very small yard. Jessica booked with us and ultimately hosted a birthday party, which is against our house rules. We hope future guests thoroughly read our description and note that we do not allow anyone outside of those on the reservation in our home without a prior discussion/approval from us. We are in a residential area and parties/gatherings are disruptive to our neighbors.

Cute place. Couple of small notes.

This is a cute place. The hot tub setup is great for a beautiful sunset. The back upper deck is awesome. Couple of small things… the spiral stairway is VERY narrow which creates two issues 1. Pets have to be walked out and around each time you are gathered in different areas and 2. If you are a little heavy like me.. it’s a little tight especially if you are carrying things. Place could have been a little cleaner but it was so cute. Water in upper shower doesn’t stay hot long, goes cold, then gets hot again. Upper parking is your only real option unless you’re feeling daring with the driveway to the bottom. Would stay again without a pet.

There were good things, but overall I would not book with this host again. The original property we rented was not like it was listed…floors were squishy/seperating, it was freezing cold, the furniture in the listing is not what was in the house, but we were willing to make it work until we realized the hot tub would not keep temp, even overnight without us using it. The host was responsive and tried to fix it but ultimately moved us to a new property the next morning and that was a bit better. The hot tub was much better there, the house a similar size, but we went from 2 bathrooms to 1 with 6 people…it just was not enjoyable. Both houses were cold and had wild cold drafts all over, we were here in winter and it was unpleasant. Things are broken and unfinished all over, our socks were dirty from walking on floors that were just cleaned that morning, the back door scraps the floor when you try to use it…you get the vibe. We lovingly joked that this is a landlord special because we were trying to make the best of our trip…I appreciate the hospitality of moving us to a new property, but it did not salvage the trip. Having to unpack then repack then unpack again on a long weekend trip really took a toll and we wouldn’t have had to move at all if this wasn’t a landlord special. 3 stars for your kindness, but an honest review would be more 1.5/2 stars.

Since this stay the hot tub has been completely replaced and we have gone through and replaced all items the guest brought to our attention that were broken. We update photos 2 times a year, as things are brought to our attention as broken, we immediately replace them, so sometimes the furniture does not exactly miss the photos (such as the new couch set in the front room of this home). We have also changed our booking process and inspect cleans before each check in. We always appreciate feedback and work hard to improve when a guest does not have a positive experience.

We enjoyed the lake views and the big gathering space in the kitchen. The pool table was a hit with some in our group. The sunsets were great! The spiral staircase was a challenge, especially with luggage. The big slope from the cement parking pad to the front door was also a challenge with luggage. Rachel was very responsive with contacts and information. It was a good place to stay for a family wedding in the area.

Perfect spot for anyone visiting Legend Valley, or Buckeye lake. The hot water upstairs is a little slow to come up from the heater, but if you turn on the sink Hot water tap, it draws it up faster. The house is a little tricky for parking. But it’s not to difficult to manage. Spiral staircase is not suitable for large people. (Meaning anyone over 6’4”, and 240lbs) however, you can access the downstairs by the driveway. The hot tub was a life saver, after long nights of dancing.
