Newly renovated, this cottage lies directly on the shores of Bonny Eagle pond. Enjoy your own private beach for swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and boating. Conveniently located next to Bonny Eagle boat launch and park. At the end of your fun-filled day, relax on the dock or by the fire and listen to the loons. This adorable two bedroom camp sleeps 8 comfortably with a master bedroom with a queen, a 2nd bedroom with a full/ twin bunk, a pull-out queen sofa and a twin size pull out love seat. The views from every room are spectacular. Don't miss out on the beauty and charm this camp has to offer.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The space was comfortable, the view was perfect, having water activities was fun (even if it was a bit chilly during our stay), sitting on the dock was peaceful, and the stocked supplies made for an easy stay.

Really enjoyed this place. Super quiet and friendly location. Very much recommended if you’re looking for a waterfront location with paddle boards and everything needed for a relaxing weekend getaway.

Great location on beautiful lake

Wonderful stay in this well maintained cabin with a beautiful and serene lake view - steps away from lake swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. Very gracious and accommodating hosts.

An old style cottage with modern improvements while maintaining decor. Very clean, and instructions regarding locks, water supply and stoves were very clear. We enjoyed our stay and found it relaxing with beautiful view. We really enjoyed the dock. Area was quiet and convenient. The one table for meals was a bit small for 4 adults, let alone 5. I don't think 8 people would fit around it.

Great little lake cabin

So beautiful. Very relaxing and so many fu little activities. Really enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. The cabin was hooked up with everyting you could need. Would definitely stay again

Beautiful Location On the Water

We had a wonderful stay on the water! Very comfortable for four adults. We had great communication with the property owners. Property and amenities just as they appear - ease and access to the water toys and fire pit were an amazing addition to our stay.

This cottage had everything you needed to enjoy your stay on the water. They had paddle boards, kayaks, floats and more. It was clean and stocked with everything you needed. Grocery store is 5 minutes away which is really nice. The pond is quiet and peaceful. We stayed with our dog who was able to enjoy the water and beach. The only downside was that it was directly next to a public park and boat access ramp. This allowed for multiple distractions and didn’t make our stay feel entirely safe or comfortable. Overall this is a good place for a couple looking for a weekend away. Great outdoor fireplace!

Great cabin right on the lake

This is a newly renovated and well-appointed property that sits on the lakeshore. There are stunning views and you can launch the kayaks from your own beach. The property was clean and well equipped. Located within striking distance of Portland. Very enjoyable.

Great cabin right on the lake!

Had a great holiday weekend at the lake cabin! It's cozy, just the right amount of space for spending most of the time outside. The kayaks, inner tubes, and paddleboard provided were perfect to enjoy the lake, and the provided supplies from everything needed to make a bonfires to a CrockPot made it really easy to just focus on spending time with family. We hope to be back soon!

Perfect retreat

This cottage was absolutely as advertised and the perfect spot. Beautiful renovation that retained the original feel of a lake cottage/camp but with modern amenities and function. Open space was big enough to host some family and friends from the area, but it would also make for a good get away spot with a nice beach, water toys and fire pit. Joe and Tracy are excellent hosts and appreciated their extra efforts to make our stay comfortable. Love this place.

Family Get A Way

The cottage was adorable! Opening the door to be right on the lake was picture perfect. My chilren who range from 31 to 10 had a great time on the Kayaks but paddleboarding was definitely a family favirite! Thank you for sharing your space!

Classic Maine cabin

This is a classic Maine cabin with a fabulous location right on the pond. The cabin was clean and comfortable and most of the items we needed were in stock. I will say the pond is rather shallow and the house is located right next to the town access road making it a bit less private than we were hoping. This would be a great place for a family with children.

The property is well-stocked and clean, but the bedrooms are very small. I appreciated not having to bring sheets and towels. Because the property is adjacent to a boat ramp, it did not have the amount of privacy I would have liked. I was afraid to use the pellet stove, but should have, because the weather was quite cold. We almost ran out of drinking water because there was only one large container of Poland Spring (or equivalent) and I didn't find another. The views of the lake were outstanding. Finally, I forgot to lock the door upon leaving, for which I apologize. All-in-all, our stay at the camp was a needed break in our routine.

Lovely little cabin right on the waterfront. Hosts were very responsive. The cabin has everything you need to enjoy the water, lots of floats! Calm and quiet water - a bit rocky, but worth it in flip flops. Great firepit and dock. Cute and clean inside, but definitely the rustic cabin feel. I would point out the bedrooms are small with minimal room around the beds so if you’re traveling with a young child and plan to have them sleep in a pack and play, it won’t fit in the bedrooms. But the layout really makes the most of the space. A surprise to us was the cabin abuts a public boat ramp, so folks are in and out right next to the property/beach area which limits privacy. Overall, a good experience and a beautiful location. We enjoyed going to Smiling Hill Farm 20 mins away- a must visit for families. Thank you to Tracy and Joe for opening up their home.

AMAZING! Quiet, peaceful location, clean and well-cared for

This property is every bit as beautiful as the photos. I was surprised it was so accurately represented, in both the description and the photos. The neighborhood was VERY quiet during our late August stay, and we didn’t see anyone on the lake the entire time we were there.it was like having a private lake. There is a boat ramp right up next to the property, but only one guy used it (as we were arriving the first day), and he was very friendly. He lived in the neighborhood and told us all about the lake. There were water toys/kayaks, but sadly we didn’t have time to use them. We sat out one night and enjoyed the scenic fog that covered the lake after it had rained during the day. The area of Buxton itself doesn’t have much going on, but it was a close enough drive to Portland to go in for the day and relax at night in the cabin without the crowds of the city. I would have been plenty happy spending our entire time at this cabin, if we hadn’t already planned activities in Portland. The owner was easy to reach and communicated at every step, and it is clear from the immaculate condition of the property that they care about and look after the property. We will DEFINITELY rent here again the next time we return to Maine!
