Grumpy's Suite by the Lake

The suite includes a master bedroom with queen size bed, large rec room with 1 set of bunk beds and a futon which can sleep 2. You'll have your own 3 piece bathroom. There's access to a private deck and spacious yard with fire pit.
The space
We can accomodate up to 6 non smoking guests. We provide a coffee pot, microwave, tea kettle, small fridge, propane barbeque and dishes/cutlery for light meal and snack preparation.
We will waive the $25 nightly fee for guests over the first 2 , if those additional guests are 16 yrs old or younger.
Guest access
We're less than a 3 minute walk to 2 beaches on Okanagan Lake and to trails which will take you to several wineries and fabulous views. A boat launch and park with beach volleyball and kids' spray park are 2 km away. Summerland has several restaurants, coffee shops and stores. Penticton is 15 km south on Hwy 97, and Kelowna is 50 km north. There are dozens of wineries, hiking and biking trails and beaches throughout the South Okanagan within about 1 hour drive of our home.
During your stay
We are a couple of empty nesters who occupy the top floor of our two level Summerland home. Our rental suite is on the ground floor. Guests have their own access. Access to our living space upstairs is open but we stay up, while guests stay down. We are very happy to help with anything that will make your stay a great one. We have a super friendly golden retriever who will stay upstairs with us and a not so friendly calico cat who makes herself scarce when company comes.
Other things to note
There's room on the flat driveway for you to park a car or truck as well as trailer or boat.
We have central AC during the summer months, which keeps the ground floor VERY COOL . We recommend slippers or socks and sweaters or fleecies.
We're about 45 minutes' drive from great down hill & cross country skiing at Apex Mountain. You can apres-ski in a hot tub right on your private deck at Grumpy's.
