New Year in Ubud
We booked River View Gardens for 4 nights over the new year period. Unfortunately our flight to Bali from Perth was cancelled at short notice and we had to get on a later one, I messaged the property manager and got a very quick reply telling me not to worry and they would be there to greet us. Arriving at around 3am Ketut was waiting for us and agreed to come and prepare breakfast at a later time than usual due to the late arrival time. Every day Ketut and Koumang ensured we had a lovely breakfast to start our day, they were attentive and ensured we were happy each day. On New Years Eve we asked them to prepare an evening meal of local foods which we enjoyed before watching firework from the pool to welcome in 2025. Despite it being rainy season, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the villa is spacious and tasteful in decor and spotlessly clean. Hot water was a little limited but as it was humid we were happy with lukewarm showers! The villa is peaceful and has great jungle views (we did get a visit from the monkeys one evening too!) you can see over the the resort on the opposite side of the river but it still felt private. It is around a 10 minute journey into Ubud - we used the villa driver for a couple of journeys but had another driver we were using in Bali and he had no problems finding the villa with the information provided by Desy. The staff made things so comfortable for us & I can wholly recommend. Thanks for having us
