Oglethorpe Lodge is a unique place to stay just steps away from the Savannah River, beautiful, cobble-stoned River Street and the Riverfront. River Street offers several restaurants, art galleries and boutiques.

When staying at the Oglethorpe Lodge, you can expect a comfortable room with plenty of space and amenities. The suite includes a full kitchen and living space for visiting with friends and family. Extra sleeping space is included with a pullout sofa in the suite. Oglethorpe Lodge has a designated off-street parking space located behind the lodge for Suite 1.

The Oglethorpe lodge has off-street parking behind the lodge, where guests can enter their suite. In this same area is a bricked in courtyard, where outdoor meals or visits can take place.

One day stay

Only had one night there as a stop on our way to Florida,but we would definitely stay here again and a longer stay. Very clean and comfortable and close to everything.

Great property. We were in Savannah for dance nationals held at the convention center across the river. The location was great only taking a few minutes to walk to the ferry. Lots of great restaurants close by and shopping within walking distance. Would 100% recommend staying here.

Excellent property!

Cozy little 2 bd unit located conveniently near any activity you want to do experience in Savannah. The unit was clean and offered everything we needed to enjoy our weekend. Would definitely recommend and we are likely to stay here again. The parking space was a great perk as well.

Great spot for family.

Multigenerational family stay. Grandparents, parents, kids. Unit was on the first floor which helped. Really easy check-in process, clean, and everything our family needed for our short stay. Conveniently located and within walking distance to anything downtown/historic area.

Location, location

A great place to stay with close easy access to the river front and the historical district. The beds were very comfortable and we loved sitting in the patio area. The Treylor Park was literally out the back door and we loved their unique food. ththeir unique foods.

Charming property with amazing location

It was a charming garden apartment just steps away from all the beauty Savannah has to offer. We loved being able to be so close to the restaurants, shopping districts and the historical squares. The apartment had all the amenities so it was great not worrying about little things to bring with us. We would absolutely stay here again!

2nd stop on our road trip - great spot

Easy to get to - the first floor unit made it easy for loading and unloading (when we set out on a road trip, we are not light packers!). The location was perfect for experiencing Savannah for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised with how quiet the bedrooms were considering that they face a busy street. The parking spot right outside the courtyard was exactly what we needed, too. When the cleaning crew showed up before checkout I felt a little rushed but not because they said anything. I appreciated that the checkout requests to us were straight forward and quickly/easily executed. It allowed us to focus on getting the car packed for the next stage of our trip.

Scores high on all aspects

Superb location. Very clean and spacious. Easy access. Management were so good to allow us amend our travel dates. We were there with two teenagers who loved the place. Helping to find the turn into the parking alley might be improved on property map, its just past parking garage entrance. Drive around the block if you miss it. (the alley is one-way system). Then the parking is super and reserved for your unit .

Great Location in Historic Downtown

As anticipated, this was a great location with included parking within walking distance of River Street and the parks and squares downtown. The parking and entrance was a little tricky to find at first, and the VRBO app wasn’t offering any help, but once the check-in email finally came in, there was enough information to get us there after a few laps around the one way streets. It was surprisingly quiet for being on a busy street and having a bar next door. The (most likely illegally) parked vehicles in the alley made getting into the parking a pain at times, and deliveries to the restaurant and bar had the parking blocked in the mornings for brief periods. As far as the lodging, the only valid complaint or concern would be the shower being very hot. There didn’t seem to be much cold water mixing with the hot so there was pretty much hot or hotter. May not be hot enough to cause significant injuries to most, but it was also difficult to enjoy a cool shower after a hot day on the go. The listing said there is coin op laundry available, but there is no laundry equipment or services available to guests so pack accordingly. All in all, the value for the location and amenities for a larger family was worth it. I will definitely stay again for my next visit as we were very pleased with 901.
