This river-front home offers spectacular views of the Paluxy River while being just a 3-minute drive from the shopping and dining of Historic Downtown Glen Rose. This unique home consists of two dwellings, featuring three bedrooms, three bathrooms and two work areas if working while on the road. Located on the second story of this unusual home, stairs are required to access the home.
The Paluxy River House is the perfect starting point to everything Glen Rose has to offer!
Upon booking, we do require a risk release form to be filled out before arrival.
NOTE, FOR LONG STAYS ONLY: For any bookings two weeks and longer, a weekly cleaning is REQUIRED at the cost of the guests. We also require vehicle description and copy of driver's license.
PET POLICY (does not apply to service animals): dogs under 20lb, max 2, pets must be approved by host. Pet fee applies!

This was a wonderful house for our family weekend. So many small but thoughtful touches that made our trip special. The house is so close to town and all the wonderful shops and restaurants. This home is a gem and we are looking forward to coming back.

My two lifelong friends from college and I take a reunion trip once a year, and this year we picked The Paluxy River House and Glen Rose to visit. Two of us were architects and one an engineer, and we found the entire property - site, plan layout, and all living accommodations very well thought out. The gem of the place to us were the porches overlooking the river. We spent many hours there laughing and catching up. The house is very well stocked, maintained and clean. When we got to town from Dallas, we went grocery shopping at Brookshire’s before going to the house, adding coffee, creamer and sweeteners to our food list. We really didn’t need to, as K-Cups and the rest was plentifully furnished, along with a nice note and gift box of delicious pastries! We agreed as a group this has been the best house we have visited in all our annual reunions. My wife and I are now discussing which two other couples we might ask to go again in the future! BTW, we loved the historic photos, the original artwork, and the dinosaur hunt pieces. Thanks for making this year so memorable, congratulations on the great house!

Gorgeous place

My family and I drove from south of Houston to Glen rose and it was absolutely worth it. We loved having the river right outside the backyard. We brought our kayaks and paddle board. This place is incredible. There’s an amazing snow cones place walking distance from the house. I will most definitely be coming back.

This property is excellent in every way. If you not in shape, the stairs will get you in shape. Clean and comfortable. It has ALL your needs.

Perfect family getaway!

This property was fabulous!! We have stayed at vacation properties all over the country and this has been one of our favorites. The host, incredible with communication, has gone above and beyond with all the details. The rooms were comfortable, the linens soft and the beds fluffy. Everything was so inviting. The kitchen was well appointed and even had the extras you always need like ziplock bags and seran wrap...and the spice cabinet was stocked full!The river access and location was just a quick walk away from Big Rocks made this a perfect little getaway with kids. After our day outings to Fossil Rim and Dinosaur Valley - it was sweet time to walk over and play in the river until the sun set. The extra touches like kids toys and games, coloring sheets and even a dinosaur hunt throughout the house had my kids so excited to stay at the "dinosaur house"...and mom and dad adored sitting on the porch in the morning watching the fish jump.Thank you for going above and beyond and truly hosting! We will definitley be back!.

River House

It was our 2nd time staying at the rental and loved it just as much again. We had a situation arise that the host rose above by doing more for me than I ever expected. His concern and kindness were genuine. The house is well stocked with anything you might need a very roomy and comfortable.

Great Spot for Family Gathering

Family Vacation & Fellowship

Our Family came together for 3 days to have time together and make memories. We enjoyed sitting on back porch, taking in the view of the Paluxy River, enjoying the fire pit and playing cornhole all while grilling and telling stories. We took advantage of the picnic table on the porch and had dinner every evening there. It was Wonderful! During our visit, our Family enjoyed Fossil Rim and taking hikes at Dinosaur Valley State Park. We absolutely loved our stay at Paluxy River House and look forward to coming back! Our host was absolutely wonderful to work with!! Thank YoU!

River Perfection

From the ease of booking, paying and asking questions to the phenomenally appointed home, we were in heaven the entire stay. Super clean and modern, the home afforded overlooks of the river, squirrels for entertainment and proximity to the perfect place to spend a July afternoon in Texas--in the Paluxy River. The team at Debbie's went above and beyond, even recommending a very capable dog sitter for our boy. A step further, they turned us onto PickleBall courts at a BBQ restaurant and when we phoned, the people at Massey's were amazing! Grands enjoyed the cornhole and exploring nature around the home. It was close to everything! I would highly recommend this home. It is absolutely fabulous.

Family reunion

Loved the house and it’s location. Will definitely return. Wish there was one more king bedroom. We had our grown children with us but thought it would be a great place to return with our couple friends if it had another master. Absolutely no complaints about this property. Our needs were quickly met by the owner and we had a wonderful time.

Short stay

We were in Glen Rose for a state golf tournament. The house was centrally located and easy to get in and out of. The house was setup great. We had a great time and the boys got 2nd!

Beautiful place

Just said hot tub but there’s not one. Although it would have been cool our satay was still nice. Pecans are loud hitting roof so don’t be alarmed. Lol

This place has everything!

This spot has everything you could ever need! I've stayed at a lot of other rentals, and they mostly feel empty and devoid of amenities. Not this one! This one has soaps in every bathroom, extra linens, a nice pack-n-play and high chair for the little kids, small toys for little kids like jumbo legos, and various dinosaur books. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, coffee pods, cookware and utensils, and dish soap! The outdoor area had a fire pit and cornhole, a large picnic table, and a gas grill with utensils! Too many rentals are just a bed, one round of linens, and a bare-bones kitchen. This one has everything you could need. As a family of five, there are always things you forget at home, but this place had our backs. So refreshing! It was very, very clean too! I can't say enough about this property!
