The Cabin sits on 1 acre of land with the creek flowing in the back yard!
Full kitchen, down-stairs bed room, up-stairs bedroom w/balcony, porch overlooking the creek, washer/dryer, & Direct TV, Internet, new sleep number bed ,walk in shower
Last year we have added new Bathroom, New Carpet, New tile, New paint
There is a $100.00 cleaning fee added to any rental.

4thof July getaway

Had a great stay with my family, great location, peaceful and private. Very clean, the host was wonderful, communicated with us alway s responded if we had any questions. Highly recommend wiuld stay there again.

Relaxing Streamside

The people and dogs loved the setting of this cabin and all of the recreational activities so close by. Our long list of fun included bird watching, SUP, fly fishing, and hiking. Would stay here again. Many thanks for a great vacation.

Family Vacation

Thank you Connie for the great stay! The cabin was perfect! I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a great cabin getaway in the mountains. I've been coming to the lake every summer for 38 years and this cabin felt just like home for myself and my furr kiddos.

Cozy and relaxing

The A frame was very cozy. The sound of the creek just outside the back door was relaxing. We had a few questions for the host that were promptly answered and I really appreciate that. We had a great time.

Quaint little place

Host is very responsive and even called me to let me know I can check in earlier and check out later if I wanted to. The location is ok, you have to weave around a little through the neighborhood but its simple after about doing it twice. FYI your 6 minutes from Vallecito lake also bring bug spray, there are mosquitos and deer flies, not swarming but once in a while. Property has nice space between neighbors and reminds me of a working style property with cars and other things around the yard but there is plenty of room to have a picnic, or have a drink in front of the stream. Inside its roomier than I expected and forutnately didn't smell like pets (even though its pet friendly) bathroom was as advertised, updated and has plenty of water pressure. Only thing missing was a blender for breakfast shakes... Had a great time in the area. lots to do and got to exhaust my terrier with all the "terriering" he likes to do in nature...Will probably return during the winter for some icefishing

Perfect for a little R&R

The cabin was perfect for my little fall tour and get away. The creek and wildlife were a perfect addition. It was so quiet and peaceful, I can't wait to go back! Also, the brisket at the The Weminuche Woodfire Grill should not be missed!

Great location. nice area

We stayed at the A-frame cabin over Labor Day. The cabin fit our group well. We had 3 adults. The cabin is very close to a small stream that the dog enjoyed immensely. Very close to the lake as well. It was easy to speak with the owners during our stay.

Sweet stay in the mountains

We loved staying in this A-frame in Vallecito. So close to hiking wich we love. Plenty of fishing and boating nearby. We also made it to Durango and did the train to Silverton. Cabin has everything you need including grill and laundry. We got to meet Max the dog and that was a bonus.

There was a lot of equipment on the property. It was not a property I would want to bring children to. The description said on one acre. I was hoping for a more natural setting, not a storage lot. The inside had a great update bathroom. The kitchen could use some smaller bowls and a drain pad for the dish drainer. it would have been nice to find some old fashion game and cards. We found it quite and enjoyed the porch.

Relaxing Getaway

What a relaxing and enjoyable experience! The layout of the cabin allows for great use of space. Opening the windows and listening to the stream made for a great sleep. The cabin was clean and within driving distance to many restaurants, Durango, Mesa Verde NP, and and trail in the San Juan Mts. Very pet friendly. Our dog loved hanging out, playing in the stream, and hiking into the national forest.

Wonderful long weekend away from the front range

The property is immaculate and has all the amenities that one would want in getting away from the 'city'. It is set up for comfort and provides the perfect space for a couple to get away (although it could accommodate a family of 4). Connie, the host, was great with communication. Highly recommend staying here.

I still can't believe how lovely and peaceful Lake Valecito and the A frame are!

The A frame cabin was comfortable and just what we needed. Not over done and fussy, peaceful and private. Connie was attentive and kind, ready to help at a moments notice. Highly recommend.

We had a nice getaway into Colorado for a few days. The a-framed cabin was exactly as described. We did find that the loft area had not been vacuumed prior to our arrival. Unfortunately, we weren't able to watch two separate shows as the master bedroom played what was playing in the living room simultaneously, vice-versa. A couple recommendations would be to add a screen door in the loft area, so that those who sleep in the loft can have fresh air keeping them cool rather than bringing the box fan up the ladderway. Also, somehow improving the water pressure in the shower would be great. Overall, though, our stay was nice and we had great communication with the owner throughout our stay. Thank you!

Quaint & Peaceful

Overall an absolutely lovely stay. The cabin is definitely small and dated but clean, which is what we expected. The shower/bathroom was a surprise—a good one. We, including the dog, loved the peace & tranquility of the outdoor area the most. The creek was still running and the weather perfect. We would definitely stay here again. Owner was so responsive—thank you!

Quick Colorado trip

We absolutely enjoyed this quaint little A frame. Lots of wild life to see. Loved the creek in the back. We had a great time just enjoying the piece and quiet. And getting to play with Max a few times. We will most definitely be back!
