Beautiful single family home with ocean views even from the private driveway! All three bedrooms are decorated for your perfect beach retreat. Walking distance to many restaurants, 2nd Street Pier, Family Kingdom, and of course - the ocean! If you feel like staying at home, relax on one of the patios outside or on the most comfortable sofa in the world while you enjoy smart TVs with all the apps, cable, free wifi, or one of the many board games in stock! Fenced in yard - safety for kids and pets.

More Details About our Home:
The set up is great for a large family or 2 families wanting separate sleeping space. Well maintained and smoke free. The Master bedroom has its own ensuite bath and has its own small private deck. Two large guest bedrooms upstairs with a full hall bath in the middle. The first guest bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom upstairs has 2 double beds. Washer and dryer are in the home for your use. With amenities like central air and heating, WiFi, Smart TV's and games in the living room, guests can relax and unwind. Private parking off of the street. The location is fantastic! Only a block from the beach. On one of the few streets that do not have an obstructed view. Walk right on the beach! Also near all the excitement Myrtle Beach has to offer! Enjoy all that Myrtle Beach has to offer when you stay at our place.

Guests have access to the entire home.

Need more space? We own and rent the house next door. This one has upgraded amenities and does not allow pets. Rent both for large parties or reunions. Prop ID:4202923

Family weekend

We stayed for Mother’s Day weekend and it’s so close to everything and you can see the ocean from the front yard. It was a great time for everyone!

Cottage was clean and the location was great. The only problem was the coded lock did not work, had to ask the neighbor for help to get i in touch with the owner to give us a new code other than that everything was fine.

Nice Beach stay

Beach house is a block from the beach. You can see the ocean from the front yard. A walkable location to the boardwalk and restaurants. Convenient and close to many attractions.

Ideal Myrtle Beach Location

Our need for staying at Myrtle Beach was met with great convenience at the Beach Retreat Cottage! Perfect location for beach access, dining, and boardwalk experiences. Most importantly, the host was prompt with inquiries and the cottage was exceptionally clean. It’s a beach house with lovely decor and basic essentials for families.

Myrtle oasis

Overall a great property. The house is within walking distance to so much. This was our first time vacationing in Myrtle. The backyard was a nice bonus for our dog. The house was great but is in need of some repairs. The weather was perfect! Some mentioned safety concerns but we didn’t have any safety concerns!

Great location near the Beach

The host was very attentive to any questions we had and sent awesome recommendations to enhance our experience while staying in Myrtle Beach. The house is in a great location with a 2 minute walk to the beach. The house is spacious with 3 nice sized bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The driveway was gated and fit 2 SUVs , which was nice. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely use this property again.

The city of Myrtle Beach, our comfy home, and its proximity to so many interests makes for a really great vacation. I am glad we were able to accommodate your entire family. The hike was nice and cozy but definitely needs a lot of work. The dish washer didn’t work, garbage disposal didn’t work. The floors were a sight for sore eyes. The decor needs to be updated and even the kitchen drawers were broken. Terrible water pressure. Once I got pass that part I made the best of the trip I mean after all we spent our days and evenings outside. But for 1300 dollars I expected a little better. The owner was so kind and communicated very well and I appreciated that. Overall I would rent again once renovations are done. It was the perfect spot for the boardwalk!! Just needs tender Love and care.

Great location!

Great location! A few minor things need worked on in the house. The cleaners did not do a good job before we arrived. The coffee pot still had used coffee in top of pot. Coffe pot broke, but owner quickly replaced. Great communication with owner.

I didn't like that we were informed about the condition of the property the day before our stay. It said scratches on the floor it was gauges. One of the kitchen drawers was missing and the others was missing handles. A chunk of the kitchen floor was missing and the carpet going upstairs and to the hall were filthy. My son washed his sheets cause he saw blood. It seriously looks like the property was just bought and they needed money to update. I was seriously questioning where it said to treat the property like your own or better. When my home looks like I want people to see it. I hope other properties in the area are better looking

We had several issues staying in this house. Some handled by the owner in a timely manner some not. While there we found that the dryer didnt work(which was replaced while we were there) the dishwasher didnt work, the refrigerator half way cooled. While there the air conditioning broke. It took a technician 6 hours to finally show up after having to contact the owner multiple times. By then it was 89 degrees in the house. Rediculous! The house is in a great location but is definitely not maintained very well as the floors were dirty and when we arrived we had a nice huge pile of trash infront of the house. Will not be staying here again!

The house was never mopped. Under the couches and beds was dirty. The master bedroom sheets was stained. Outside yard was never cleaned up.from previous. The host was very easy to contact and helped when i could not get the code to.work. i think a new cleaning crew would is needed for this house.

House was in great location close to everything

The house needs some work shower upstairs. Didn't work too good. Air conditioning didn't work too good either. When we got, there was not able to get in. The code did not work and couldn't get up with. The property manager What's not able to get in until around 6 o'clock?

Not as expected

The property is not in good shape. The pictures are very old. The furniture is worn and drawers broken on dresser. Carpet is stained throughout and every vent is covered in mold/mildew. The neighborhood is not safe as we saw police arresting someone down the block and many buildings are vacant. It is not a fun vacation house.

Shannon, I am sorry you saw someone get arrested down the street coming in. Of course that is not anything I can control and unfortunately, it can happen anywhere - especially in a touristy area. I see that it set a bad tone for you from the beginning. You did not even stay at our home! I am glad VRBO was able to find another location for you immediately. Rest assured, the interior of our home is not old and worn. We use American Maids cleaning service who actually do a lot of the vacation homes in the area. If you are ever back in the area or if you use another VRBO in the future, if you truly see something wrong, I would kindly suggest you contact the owner or cleaning company to give them a chance to fix. I do agree that your vacation home should be ready for you when you arrive. This is our standard and expectation.

Cute Cottage and PERFECT LOCATION

This house was simply charming. We loved the first floor master with a walk in shower (no steps needed). We loved the beach decor that fit the location. It made us feel we were at the beach. One day on our stay it rained. So we binged watched Netflix and played the provided games. On the sunny days we walked to the beach at the end of the street. We walked to Starbucks every morning (even though there was a coffee pot and keurig). It was in a great location so we were also able to enjoy Family Kingdom, Ripley's and Beach Volleyball and all the things on the strip. We really did not need a car, but were far enough off the main road on Ocean Blvd that we did not get that noise. Perfect location. Perfect host. Great communication. Very nice and accommodating. She even gave us recommendations on where to eat. Easy check in and out. Would definitely stay there again. 5 Stars all around.

LOCATION. LOCATION.

Check in and out was easy. Owner was very good at answering any questions quickly. Our curbside garbage was full upon arrival so it left us to overload and stack it precariously upon departure. Furnishings and appliances are very dated. I've stayed at many VRBOs and this was the first one that I had to buy hand soap, paper towels, and toilet paper; as only 1 each was left for 8 people for 4 days. I also wanted to sweep and mop but there was no cleanser/pine-sol (or the likes of) and the broom was too short for my bad back. Upstairs bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable with old springs. Stove right front burner does not get as hot as it should. There are no holding bars on the refrigerator door for your condiments. Very minimal pots and pans that were very old and worn. House just needs a general full makeover of amenities. Overall, you can make do with what's there but it needs improvement. Location was perfect and our memories with family were still wonderful. I would definitely bring a lot of my own items from home if you plan to stay. I

Not quite as described

The host was pretty much on que . If your looking for what's described , sadly it's not. It was okay. There was ALot of damage to the property already. It's not new. I am assuming that it's been painted over . Vents are filthy. Coffee maker doesn't work. And we saw a roach, only 1 but still a roach. May have carried it in with the groceries or something because that's the only one we saw. It was nice having a washer and dryer but the washer inside needs to be cleaned. Like I said lots of damage to property ,and furniture. Made me nervous because in my mind I'm thinking "Are they gonna try to charge me for damage?" Which was constantly on my mind so I didn't relax ! The neighborhood: close to the beach that was wonderful but when you got a neighbor telling you on the first day your there" Don't be out after dark around here" NOT COMFORTING. I was sitting outside and someone was trying to bum a cigarette and or money. That made me nervous because we had kids with us. I wouldn't let them sit outside after that. Not the owners fault . Like I said it was an ok stay . Would I rent from the host again I think definitely but would I rent the same place definitely NOT.

Misrepresentation

I waited to submit this as I didn't want to risk backlash. The first review on this property is the property owner as she repeated it word for word about herself during one of our complaints. She suggested she was new at this and unaware of all the issues. We found after putting up with all of it that she's owned it for years but relists it when she doesn't like the reviews. Property is NOT in a safe area. Lights were out, she always has an excuse for not calling back or not providing what she promised. Broken handles on doors, burners on stove didn't work, seating extremely worn, black mold around all cieling air vents, paint chips dropping from ceilings around air vents... I could go on. Having a disabled person and needing a fence for dogs is the only reason we stayed and didn't go somewhere else. We didn't even get the code to get in until hours before we were to get in because she didn't send it, then had to wait for her to drop her kids at school. She even used the husband in the service excuse. Bottom line, she's been doing this for years and just relists one of her multiple properties not keeping them up. Thank goodness we only used the upstairs for laundry as the carpeting was disgusting. Extra blankets were only on the other beds. Vrbo, she found a way around your policys.
