I've traveled a lot and I'm not very picky, but there were several issues worth mentioning. The location is decent, with plenty of gas stations, fast food, and stores nearby. Check-in was quick, and the front desk staff was friendly. We booked through VRBO ("Indulge in Home Like Comfort! Full Kitchen, Pet-Friendly Property"). The room was spacious, but it had a strange odor and didn't feel very clean. The bed sheets were torn, there was a mysterious white stain on the couch, and the AC had makeshift extension ducts covered in mold that were awkwardly routed through a rough hole cut in the wall, with debris still left on the carpet. It looked very poorly done.Noise was also an issue. One night I was up working until around 4 AM and constantly heard stomping and doors slamming throughout the night.Food wasn't a priority for us, but the lobby snack/breakfast area was much barer than the online photos suggested, which felt misleading. The biggest concern came after our stay. The person I traveled with developed multiple small bites on her face and neck and went to urgent care. While not confirmed, the doctor said the pattern was consistent with possible bed bugs, and we have documentation from the visit. We thoroughly inspected the room during our stay and didn't find obvious signs, but this experience is still worth noting for future guests.
