Property is in a great location and overall a nice house. It worked great for our group. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and backyard has so much potential. The home is for sale and in need of some TLC. The property management was prompt to take care of concerns as previous renters left a mess of the pool.

Beach Trip with older guest

Beautiful property. Upstairs is lovely, downstairs is more average, but perfect for older guest who cannot manage stairs. The pool was great! Enjoyed our stay.

close to beach and nightlife

The house was great for our week long stay. The floor plan was perfect for allowing for getting together as a group and private space for relaxing. The spiral staircase was a little tricky but we managed. The hot tub was not filled when we arrived but this was addressed quickly by their maintenance team.

The property was nice but definitely needed some up keep that was not taking place you could not even hardly walk up the stairs to the front door because the bushes were over grown and trying to carry up bags with all that in your way was challenging. The hot tub was filthy dirty and they never came to clean it even though we asked them to. On top of that they would not let us check in not even one hour early because they said people were there cleaning and maintaining the property that was a lie hey had not been there for quite some time, I would say it was more than a week. They didn’t tell us we could use the bikes until after our stray was almost over. If I were the owner I would get a new property manager.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the property and would like to clarify a few points for future guests. Our digital guestbook and the property description both list the complimentary bikes, and we also sent a text with the waiver link less than 24 hours after check-in to ensure you had the information handy. Regarding the hot tub, our inspection photos show it was clean prior to your arrival, and we didn’t receive a report about any issues during your stay. Had we known, we would have been glad to send our pool vendor out right away to refresh it for you. As for the landscaping, one of Pensacola Beach’s unique charms is its natural vegetation, which not only provides privacy around the home but also helps protect the shoreline from erosion. That said, we’ll follow up with our landscaper to make sure the walkway remains clear and easy for guests to access. On early check-in, we’re unable to accommodate this during high season due to same-day turnovers. When it’s important to guarantee early access, we offer guests the option to reserve the night before, which was available in your case. We truly hope these inconveniences didn’t take away from your time enjoying the pool, beach, and everything the Emerald Coast has to offer. We’d love the opportunity to welcome you back in the future.

Never Again

This home was not clean. We found multiple bugs and roaches. The hot tub had sand and other debris built up in the seats and at the bottom. The light in the downstairs kitchen did not work (we found the replacement they should have installed before we arrived in a cabinet.) We had to use flashlights when preparing food down there, which we had to because the oven upstairs was not working. On out first day I reached out twice to try and have these issues addressed. Nobody ever showed up in the 4 days we were there. The description of the home fails to mention that the only way between upstairs and downstairs inside is a one foot wide spiral staircase, we made the children use the outside stairs because it was so sketchy. We will NOT be staying again nor will we be using this rental agency in the future.

We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered during your stay. This is not the standard of service we aim to provide. This property is fairly new to our program, and each guest's experience and honest feedback help us improve and better understand how to enhance the property for vacation rentals. Your experience was not up to our usual standards, and we appreciate your feedback so we can improve. Regarding cleanliness, we have addressed this with our Housekeeping Team to ensure this does not happen again. We've implemented more thorough quality checks before each guest arrival. Of course, bugs are not part of the vacation home package, and our pest control vendor is on a regular schedule to keep them from crashing the party. Being so close to the Gulf and its sugary white sand beaches offers an idyllic and serene respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but it does mean taking it with a grain of sand 😉 We've reviewed a detailed checklist with our pool vendor so the hot tub and pool are clean and ready for relaxation after a long day of adventure on our beautiful coastal island. It sounds like the layout and accessibility to the up and downstairs of the home were unexpected. We've also taken that feedback and updated the listing to more accurately describe the way guests will move through the home. We're so thankful you took the time to detail for us the issues you encountered during your stay. Thank you again and we hope to see you again soon!

Broken equipment

I’ve reached out to beach getaway with no response. We went to get into the hot tub the first night and it was empty. Super disappointing bc this is January and it’s the reason we booked this property. In the dark and cold we found the water hose and filled up the hot tub, then we found the “stopper” on a shelf and put it in so the water wouldn’t drain and turned on the hot tub. The next morning the hot tub was holding water but wasn’t warming up. I called beach get away and they told me they knew the hot tub was broken and I was supposed to receive a call before my reservation started. I didn’t. They did say they would sent a technician out to look at it. I watched a YouTube video and fixed the hot tub. When the technician showed up- 6 hours later- I told him I believe I fixed it and he stated “if you you-tubed it, you already did more than I can.” And he left. Luckily, the hot tub did start to heat up after I fixed it, but it was still over 24 MORE HOURS until it was warm enough to use. Again, it’s January so the whole point of renting this particular location was the use of the hot tub. There are a few other negatives, but they could have been overlooked if not compounded with this huge mistake. This review wouldn’t have been made if beach getaways would have made it right when I reached out after my vacation, but they didn’t! I’m local, I stay out at Pensacola beach multiple times a year, I won’t be recommending this property to anyone.
