Bright and airy 2 bedroom/2 bath townhouse located in the Gold Bend section of Northstar-at-Tahoe, the premier resort of Lake Tahoe. Just a 3 minute ride or a 10 minute walk to the Village, or free shuttle (seasonal) just steps from your front door, this upgraded townhome sleeps 5. Gourmet kitchen with beautiful granite countertops, complete cooking pans and utensils, drip coffemaker, dishwasher, microwave. Enjoy a glass of wine while you barbecue on the outdoor deck, with an unbelievable view of the pines and mountains.

Parking: 2 spaces, a short, flat paved walk to condo.

Downstairs: Master suite has vaulted ceilings, Queen bed, private bath, private balcony, mountain view. Second bedroom has two beds. Second full bathroom off hallway.

Upstairs: Open living room/dining room with vaulted ceilings and mountain views. Gas/wood-burning fireplace. Cable TV, free wireless internet, ROKU. Separate large laundry room with washer/dryer. Small futon bed in laundry room.

Northstar Amenities: The inviting Village is just a 10-minute walk away, or a free shuttle ride (seasonal) steps from your front door, where you will enjoy restaurants and cafes. Shop in stylish boutiques and galleries that surround the free central skating rink (roller skates or ice skates are available to rent) For more info go to Northstar-at-Tahoe website.
Hike the mountain: Take the lift to the top and hike down, or discover the 2-mile narrow Martis Trail just behind the Rec Center. Beautiful Rec Center with fitness center, pools, spas, game room, pickle ball and bocce ball. Rec Center is $10/pp/per day fr guests age 5 and older.

Skiing: Northstar ski

Biking: Northstar has the best bike park this side of the Rocky Mountains. Over 100 miles of trails ranging from novice to professional, the lifts operate full time during the high summer season (check the schedule on the Northstar-at-Tahoe website.) Full service bike shop can rent bikes or repair your flat tire. In addition to Northstar, there are beautiful riding trails in Truckee, including the newly expanded gems at Sawtooth Trail just 15 min. away.

Golf: Championship 18-hole golf course with links-style front nine and mountain-style back nine. Enjoy a grilled burger and a beer on their open deck, overlooking the Martis Valley. Earliest twilight golf rates of the area.

Lake Tahoe: One of the most beautiful areas in North America, Lake Tahoe offers world class skiing, hiking, water sports, rock climbing, majestic views in the Sierras year round. Only 40 minutes from Reno. The historic town of Truckee, with restaurants, shops, and bookstores, is 15 minutes away.

Great location

The place was very clean, and was right down the street from Northstar. The rec center had three hot tubs to soak in after a day of skiing.

Great stay

We very much enjoyed our stay at this condo. Location was great, very clean condo, well maintained and close to the northstar shuttle stop. Perfect spot for our family of 4 and we’ll definitely be back.

Great stay at Northstar

Mimi's condo was exactly as described in the listing. We enjoyed our stay as the place had everything we needed. It's very close to the village as well. Mimi was quick to respond to any questions I had which I really appreciated. Overall it was great for a weekend getaway.

Lovely, comfortable stay at Northstar

Mimi’s Northstar gem was just perfect for our family of four. Everyone had their own comfortable space and we loved the view from the balcony, especially feeding the jays each morning. The kitchen had everything we needed and the Village at Northstar was a very short drive, shuttle ride or walk from the place. Would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic location, kitchen is well stocked. Minor snafu during check-in as the code didn't work but property manager Mimi called me back immediately.

Perfect get -away to Northstar, but lots of stairs

Beautiful location! Fully stocked kitchen for cooking and convenience- pots and pans, lots of silverware, microwave, toaster over and two kinds of coffee makers! Mimi, the owner, welcomed us via text, and was readily available when we couldn’t find the gorgeous rec center and pool, and when the router needed re-setting (free WiFi). The ONLY possible consideration for not being appropriate for some is that the 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms are on the first level and the living area is on the second floor. We would definitely stay there again

Total Package

Mimi’s NS Resort Condo is the perfect size for a small gathering getaway. The main room has a nice view to check the conditions before walking one minute to the on demand shuttle. Would def recommend.

Comfortable stay

Our family had an enjoyable 2-night stay at Mimi’s condo. Check-in and out was easy, beds were comfortable, lovely views from the living room, and the shuttle stop was just outside the parking area. If arriving at night, you’d want a flashlight as the path to the condo is dimly lit. We appreciated the detailed pre- check in email from Mimi with helpful information.

Fabulous trip

What is not to like. The location is fabulous: just steps from a shuttle to the village with a trail head right in the backyard. The condo is super clean and comfortable and Mimi is the most responsive and helpful host I've had the pleasure of working with.

Cozy, homey and thoughtfully laid out.

I enjoyed the space. Very clean. Furnishings and fixtures were economical, but nothing felt cheap. It’s a thoughtfully planned, welcoming space. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of extra blankets and pillows, an abundance of firewood and the BBQ worked well. The kitchen was stocked with the standard convenient appliances—blender, crockpot and coffee maker. Sharp knives of good quality too! The location is very convenient to the lifts as well. I didn’t wait for a shuttle more than 5 minutes. Gold Bend is my favorite location for Northstar.

Perfect for the family ski trip!

The property was exactly as advertised - a short walk or convenient (free) shuttle ride to the village (all the benefits without all the noise!) - and it worked great for us. Definitely better than a local hotel!

Rustic and reasonable

This is one of the older condos at Northstar but well-maintained and comfortable. It has everything you need and the owner Mimi was very responsive. Beds are comfortable with plenty of extra bedding. Location is convenient, just a short drive to the village with shuttle stop about 50 yards from the door. Minor negatives: lighting in the bedrooms is weak, 2nd bedroom is small but workable, and the furnace can be noisy. However the living/dining room is spacious and well laid out. We enjoyed our stay, would consider returning.

Wonderful stay for vacation at Tahoe!

We enjoyed the time at this Northstar townhome very much! There is beautiful view of redwood trees right outside the living room, and the location is ideal. It is close to North Lake Tahoe and the town of Truckee (about 10 minutes drive), and when we didn't feel like driving, there were many activities to choose at the Northstar Village. The owner Mimi is very responsive to my emails and answered all of our questions. The house is very clean and well cared. Accessories (toilet paper, blankets, shampoos, soap, laundry detergent, kitchen supplies, etc.) were generously provided. It was a wonderful experience for us, and we would definitely come here again!

Excellent, well maintained mountain cabin

My family and I spend a lot of time at Northstar in the winters, so we have stayed in a lot of different condos around the village. 5045 Gold Bend is one that I would seek out again in the future. It has been very well maintained, with a nicely updated kitchen and comfortable beds. The location is great also: far enough from the parking lots that you don't get any noise but close enough that it isn't a long trudge with suitcases or ski gear.

Convenient location but needs better maintenance

Our family enjoyed the convenient location to Northstar with shuttle service so we didn't need to drive which was great. The condo is a bit dated and could use some more upgrades. The owner is responsive to my email and phone call. The kitchen is well equipped so we could prepare our meals. However, the maintenance service needed to do a better job of cleaning and replenishing. There were hair on the shower, floor, towel and sofa and plastic wraps in the living room. There were only 3 and 1/2 rolls of bath tissues for our one week stay. Most places that we rented had extras but we couldn't find any on this condo. My son also got 4 bug bites. Although it's a great location but we had issues with the cleanliness.

We are an outdoors family and have enjoyed Northstar for the last 20years. As educators we were able to spend vacation time in a perfect setting where there is something for everyone to enjoy!

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

With Northstar having the best bike park around, our sons enjoyed mountain biking and the rec area, along with the independence this self-contained resort offers. While they biked we golfed or played tennis. The resort makes it easy to grab a quick meal any time of day, and the 10-minute walk from our condo to the village is easy. There is also free Shuttle. We love the convenience of having Lake Tahoe or Truckee just 10 miles away. Each year we celebrate our anniversary at Garwoods, on the lake.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

All of us enjoy something different. My husband likes the boat show, golf, and the variety of restaurants. We both enjoy playing Pickleball, whether at Northstar or in the community. The boys like the biking, skiing, rock climbing. I like sitting on the balcony and enjoying the quiet, the birds, and a good book. We all like to get away from the big city, laughing at each other at the skating rink, and using the pool.
