Geneva Island Park Retreat

Our Island Park retreat is just a short walk to Fox River's bike and walking trails, and the scenic Island Park. Take a stroll over the pedestrian bridge into the heart of historic downtown Geneva. The idyllic Fox River area is great for nature walks, bird watching, kayaking, or fishing. Come back to enjoy the screened porch on this quiet street, or the private back patio. Retreat inside to the comfort of the three bedrooms and two full baths.

Enjoy this beautifully remodeled historic home right in the heart of Geneva. This stunning home was recently updated to include all the amenities to enjoy a cozy and relaxing stay, while preserving its original charm on a quiet, tree-lined street near Island Park, and less than a mile from Geneva's famous Third street. With a downstairs primary bedroom you can enjoy your privacy, while still being steps away from the comforts of the kitchen, family room and back patio. The primary bedroom has a queen bed and includes a work area, with high speed internet (1000 Mpbs).

The kitchen is updated with butcher block countertops, shaker cabinets and stainless steel appliances, including refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher. The kitchen also is stocked with what you'll need to prepare a meal. Adjoining the kitchen is a large family room featuring built-in shelving, large screen TV, a cozy couch and french doors that lead out onto the private patio. Or enjoy mornings or evenings with a cup of your favorite drink on the cozy screened porch.

There is a full bathroom with shower downstairs, just steps away from the primary bedroom. Two other spacious bedrooms are upstairs - one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds. Upstairs also includes another full size, newly updated bathroom. There are plenty of towels, blankets and toiletries to simplify your stay.

The detached garage, long driveway and additional on-sight parking spot provide plenty of private parking.

Take a stroll to beautiful Island Park, right on the Fox River. Or you can enjoy a longer walk, or rent bikes at the local cycle shop, with miles of scenic, paved trails along the Fox River. Less than a mile walk to the shops, restaurants and ice cream parlors of Geneva's Third Street district. You can also take a short drive to the quaint downtown areas of neighboring St. Charles or Batavia, also on the shores of the beautiful Fox River.

In an effort to maintain a secure premises, the property is equipped with a Ring doorbell located at the outside entrance to the home and the garage door.

There is a fee of $12/day for each additional guest after the initial two guests - this keeps the overall daily rental cost lower, while still covering the costs associated with additional cleaning, utilities and wear & tear for larger groups.

You will note the charge for "Taxes collected (5.98%)" - this results from the State of Illinois hotel tax which VRBO collects and we remit to the State of Illinois. Included in our daily rate is the City of Geneva hotel tax of 5% which we must collect and remit to the City of Geneva. These taxes are required by law and paid directly to the state and city governments.
